An artist who goes by @tofu_rabbit on X says that the look of Nerf’s Ace of Spades handgun from Bungie's Destiny games came from a commissioned artwork they drew almost a decade ago. Nerf and Bungie unveiled its newest foam dart gun collaboration on Tuesday featuring a limited edition version of Cayde-6’s iconic “Ace of Spades” blaster from Destiny 2 that is available for purchase on Bungie’s online store. The following morning, @tofu_rabbit posted images comparing Nerf’s newest foam dart launcher to a piece of art they made in 2015 and posted on their DeviantArt page based on the same gun from the game. Honestly has me upset enough that im starting to set up a super old youtube setup i once had years ago in the before times i just might rawdog youtube directly again old player also had the progress bar visible even when not focused, not anymore over a years worth of work and we ended up with what looks like a mobile ui  
I don't see how this is legal, but people on Tik Tok peddling miracle "medicine" are becoming more common every day. No FDA approval, no research. Just their marketing hype and false promises. This one, lady is showing some sort of probiotic and claiming it can help people suffering from severe acid reflux and gastrointestinal reflux disease or GERD, replacing medicine that has been tested for decades.
I asked this company to close and delete my account, and they replied that they have closed it. They use a type of ticket system where you need to log in to their site to see replies. I wanted to reply, to ask if they also have deleted my data, instead of just closing the account. In order to contact them, they will create a new account SMH 
They clearly show wear.  I am not sure if they were replaced from another older device, or the entire cover is from L390, but that one would have a plastic cover for where this one has a stylus. It doesn't seem like anything was snapped out of there. I couldn't find replacement ones online, and I am not sure if contacting the shop is a good idea. See, the L390 Yoga has a touchscreen with better colors and seems to be a bit more expensive (but not much). However, I bought this as "L390". I noticed the description said "Touchscreen: yes", which I realized meant they likely mistook the Yoga version for the base version. Indeed, that is the case. Currently they have one L390 Yoga in similar condition and same configuration, but the screen has some white spots (this one is flawless), ...and it's €46 more expensive. If you're curious, i5 8365U, 16GB RAM (single-channel), used 256GB Samsung SSD (I don't remember if SATA or NVME), €180 and 2 year warranty. Also, if you're wondering what that port with network symbol is, it appears to be a proprietary connector used on ThinkPads requiring an "Ethernet Extension" adapter to be usable.

update - after doing some research online, I found I was able to just reply to the text message with "yes" and it confirmed the reservation.
The game is Word Cookies by Bitmango. I contacted them but haven’t heard back. I’m guessing it was just an oversight, but it still pissed me off.
Beginning to have thoughts now on just donating away my stream sticks and use my TV in the living room as a back up incase the one I have in my bedroom dies. I got into streaming sticks about a few months ago, I have an ONN brand one and Amazon one that's 4k. And I know the appeal of them and the appeal is nice. It makes you feel like you're watching cable television without subscribing to an overpriced cable subscription. It was nice. It was nice until everytime I go to have some sit down time in the living room than my bedroom to watch something there, I turn on the ONN stick, I try watching a single YouTube video. 30 second ad. Skipped it. 4 minutes into the video - another ad. And this will happen the longer the video is where it's just ad, ad, ad. Between the two, only the ONN stick has a chance of being rooted but I'm not sure I want to risk bricking or ruining it. The Amazon one cannot be rooted which is a shame. So yeah, not really digging stream sticks as much as I like because of this. I immediately went back to my bedroom to watch on the PC since I have adblock.
We're supposed to be done with the heat waves by now, ma'am.

Got a used HP Probook laptop. Just needs a new drive. HP specs say it has an m.2 2280 slot. So that's what I ordered. Guess I needed to look closer. edit: Thanks for all the info, guys. It appears every few times I open the app and the usual android back button doesn't make it go away, and there is no cancel button. What you have to do is toggle the toggle, then the button will change to "do not back up" and then you can press it. It annoys me how easy this makes it to accidentally turn on backup.

I hate this news story. If I wasn't living in this community (Douglas county) I would think it's a good story. However, Douglas county has massive NIMBY policies, including outlawing everything that would allow someone experiencing homelessness anywhere near here. No homeless shelters are legal, no sleeping outside is legal, hell even weed stores are illegal in this massive county, despite it being legal in the majority of the state. Douglas county also created its own health department in protest of mask and vaccine mandates. It's a very affluent deeply conservative pocket in Colorado that makes me sick.

Before I left Reddit, I used a [plugin](https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite) through the api to replace all of my comments with random gibberish and then delete them. Part of this was because (mandatory) fuck spez. But more importantly, it was to protect the anonymity of my account. After years of posting, there is likely enough personal information shared to potentially connect my Reddit habits to my online identity. I wasn't planning on using Reddit again in the future on that account, but I left it open in order to maintain some security control over the account. I'm not really sure what to do at this point because I still consider it a security vector that's a bit concerning. There's no way I can manually edit and delete all of my content with the snail's-pace reddit UI, and I have no ability to assure that my content will remain unavailable or at least not publicly displayed.
And only *sometimes.* Before people start asking in the comments, the website is a niche fashion archive.
The most useless calendar widget is made by Apple. I constantly forget that someone’s birthday or something important is coming up later in the week. Now I understand that you can set up alerts and you can set up reminders for stuff. I also understand that you can choose a different size widget. But depending on the size and the amount of events it’s possible it won’t even show you what’s going on the next day in the larger widget as well. This is forced me to use third-party widgets to display calendar events for the week on my home screen. I hate it because I have no idea if it’s stealing my data. Bonus Edit! The large widget fails to show you what’s happening **today**! 
There is no reason to require this setting for users who aren’t posting live videos.
Believe I also turned off all "promo" emails and communications of any sort in the settings while i did have linkedin... thinking about just straight up deleting it now instead of leaving the profile deactivated.
