I had a little 15 gallon aquarium with a small population of tetras, kuhli loaches, a betta, and two shrimp, plus snails. I bought a 55 gallon tank to give them all a better environment. I filled the tank and planted it heavily then gave it a week to stabilize before I added anything. I moved snails, the shrimp, and some microfauna over. I bought a bag o bugs to increase microfuna diversity, and a dozen more shrimp, mostly young, and gave that another months to stabilize. The shrimp were growing up, carrying eggs, looking good to go. I added my five tetras from the old tank and everything seemed great for a few more weeks. Everyone was healthy, plants were thriving, baby shrimp were starting to appear. The loaches went in a little later and they've been good all along. I went to a nice local aquarium store and bought five more tetras. Four days later, all but two tetras - one new, one old - were dead. I have no idea why. Water tested normal, so the ones from the store must have introduced something, but it was outside their return policy. But the shrimp were still doing well, so I moved the betta over. That was this week. Today I go to check on my baby shrimp, and not only can I not find them - I can't find any shrimp at all. Usually they're all over the place. I could identify most of them individually because I bought a bag of wild colored, so they were very varied. Every single one of them died sometime between this morning and Wednesday night. I guess it's a temperature issue. It got chilly here for August the last few nights, into the low sixties, and I didn't have a heater in the tank yet. I'm feeling extremely discouraged. All I want out of these is to be healthy environments where animals can live safe little lives. And this was my biggest, most careful, most planned out aquarium ever. And now it's basically a graveyard. There's no shrimp population to even rebuild from. I have utterly failed in my mission to create a good environment for my little sea creatures.
My cat Pepper has been on a diet for about 9 months. He was definitely overweight and has lost about 2 pounds, but I'm starting to worry he's being underfed now. He just seems more stressed when he goes to check his food bowl and it's empty and will wait for the machine to dispense for hours before his feeding times. He's a bombay, and I found some info online that says they should be under 15 pounds and some that says under 12. He's 12.6 now, and he still looks kinda chubby, but it's hard to tell because he has a big primordial pouch(loose skin in the belly area). I know I should ask a vet, but I can't afford a vet visit.
I usually sing tv jingles to Mr. Softie, like today after I cleaned out his litter box I was singing the JG Wentworth jingle to him about having a clean litter box. I have a little peanut and he needs his box now! Call Mr. Peanut, 877-Peanut-Now! Yes I am very weird.
First time they've played tug, Fia getting so big so fast! She was 4 or 5 weeks when I got her from the rescue and 12 or 13 weeks now. Blue's 8 or 9 years and I think a lump she's got is growing so it was time to prepare. Edit: Oh heck yeah you can upload .mp4. Lol. Wasn't sure this would work

Our german shephard is in real bad shape, apparently he has an extreme case of bronchitis. We've got him on antibiotics and a kind of mucinex-type-thing to get the nasty stuff out of his body, but I'm wondering if anyone has any other tips for stuff we can do with him since he seems like he's really struggling, and the vet was very concerned. He's become pretty lethargic in the last week or so and we're trying not to push him since apparently excitement is not a good idea right now. I'm feeding him high-quality canned food to keep him eating and give him strength, and we've also been kinda steaming him in the bathroom with a hot shower running for a little bit once a day, which seems to help a lot with getting the goop out of him.
Mr. Softie's tummy has been bothering him again and I can't get him to the vet anytime soon. Every couple of days he throws up stomach acid and his poops are very runny. If any other hexbear out there has experience with a cat like this, is there any food you recommend?
She walks around with it up all the time and I'm lying in bed and just see a tail tip going around the bed. Just reminds me of a bumper car. CAT CAT CAT
I am so not allowed to put any of the stuff awy until it has been sufficiently rolled around on, played with and slept on.
I know he's up to something, but I'm not sure what.
