It developed a lot, for example had a reoccurring character from the Goblin encounter called Dibb, he'd always escape. Every session just added more and more lore and eventually ended with them having their own HQ in the abandoned village where they faced the Dragon.

This is new stuff, one of the benefits of PC gaming is that you can roll builds. So if you had a gaming pc in the last 5 years you're looking at a £450 upgrade, not a £700 one if you're a PS5 player. Or even hitting up used for things like cases etc
Using a bench of Horizon Zero Dawn for the GPU
2k bench taken from techspot
so doing what the PS5 pro will be and using an upscaller like FSR/DLSS to hit 4k
4K is in the 50s, but again scalers used brings it to 60.

I have played GOW as well as a ton of other games this year at a resolution of 2K 144fps HDR on my machine without any issues or stutters. Also don't have to wait for a republish that I have to rebuy to enjoy older games at 4k 140hz currently playing AC4 and it looks amazing.

The PS5 pro is using similar scaling tech, but both my Bazztie “consoles” can play some games native 4k, and using DLSS/FSR with a 2k signal like the pro will be doing obviously gains more titles.
The older games are referring to the PS5 pro line up, it's all older games that most pc builds around this price can compete with. List taken from Polygon:
- Gran Turismo 7 (supports ray traced reflections between cars in gameplay at 4K 60fps, and a dedicated 8K mode, according to CNET)
- Horizon Forbidden West (as well as an overall “detail boost,” there are “improvements to lighting and visual effects” and to “hair and the skin in cinematics,” according to Mark Cerny)
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (high resolutions and detail at a distance, including the trees and procedural cars)
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (distant details will be more clear, such as during the opening parade scene)
- The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered (offers greater visual detail at 60 frames per second, including sharper details at a distance)
- Demon’s Souls (no specific enhancements outlined)
I used laptops as an example for someone who does not want to build, but my living room one is a mid AM4 from 2019 build that I put an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT in. So about £800 build the cost of the upper end PS5 pro and not far off the base. My Nitro 5 was £700.
My comment was more about the irrelevancy of consoles once they start getting past the £500 mark, used to be that you'd have a good advantage over a mid-tier PC for about 2 years. Now it's basically on par for the same money short of wanting to play exclusives, which Sony hasn't really been pumping out this gen. Where the PC library is huge, add in Emulation and it's even bigger.
Randomly made a little post on Reddit that cloned one I made on lemmy, and it really showed the difference in user. I brought a screen protector and mentioned it didn't have glue and got a comment from each platform regarding the same issue that really made me realise the difference in communities and how tired I've become of the whole "well ackually" mentality of Reddit. Lemmy comment, just asking a question and provides a solution trying to help: "Is it perhaps static cling, or do you have to apply with a water/soap solution?" Reddit comment just randomly guessing and making out I'm a moron who doesn't know how screen protectors work despite me saying in the description I'd done so, got 14 upvotes on a 20 upvoted post, so this is basically the vibe of that sub I guess. "I'm inclined to believe that you didn't peel the right side. " This is my rant for the evening, think I'll go back to not bothering with Reddit any more, maybe I am stupid :D.
Got my rg35xx-h and the provided screen protector had no glue, so I ordered one off Amazon, this is what came. I think I'll just stick to my 3d printed case. EDIT: Edit just checked these didn’t have glue either, what’s going on haha Brand is Mr Sheild ![](https://feddit.uk/pictrs/image/0a962518-a984-401c-a349-9c901132256b.webp)
The biggest issue with this frame was a dent on the lower tube, I didn't have any decent blocks of wood to make a frame roller, so the wife and I spent yesterday making them as a 3d print. While it didn't completely remove the dent, it did help make it smaller. Before ![](https://feddit.uk/pictrs/image/e1b3b644-7ad3-4ec1-9704-327805011ef9.webp) After: the paint wearing was from sanding down ready for painting not the blocks ![](https://feddit.uk/pictrs/image/f0734e5d-6492-48d0-8bfc-b3937ce706ec.webp) ![](https://feddit.uk/pictrs/image/5f6f7672-1a23-47cd-ad06-aa5121a1b9f2.webp)
Sanded the frame back and treated the rust not a huge amount the worst part was the fender bracket. Currently waiting for the krust to do it's thing before giving it an acf50 paint
The used steel frame I recently brought has arrived, a bit of rust here and there are some scuffs and such, but I plan to sand it back and respray, so these aren't issues. Threads look good all round. Going to have to put together the parts I have and slowly buy the ones I need. Going to be a fun project for sure.
Benefit of going slow enough to notice things
Just doing a walkabout and looks like Mr slug has gone to town additionally a lot of the first blooms are looking a bit ropey. Am I ok to do a decent dead head and prune Based in uk
A number of high-profile Conservative and Labour MPs have lost their seats as Rishi Sunak conceded that his party had been defeated in the general election and Sir Keir Starmer declared a historic victory. Conservatives Liz Truss Seat: South West Norfolk Lost to: Labour Truss served as UK prime minister for 49 days in 2022 and was previously foreign secretary and trade secretary. She was forced out of office after her government’s “mini” Budget spooked financial markets and triggered a crisis in the pensions sector. First elected to parliament in 2010, Truss becomes the first former premier for almost 90 years to lose their seat in a general election. Penny Mordaunt Seat: Portsmouth North Lost to: Labour A former Royal Navy reservist, the House of Commons leader ran in the 2022 Tory leadership contest as a moderate and had been tipped as a future contender to lead the party if she held on to her seat. Her sword-bearing role at King Charles’s coronation raised her national profile, but she lost to Labour by about 780 votes. Penny Mordaunt © Ben Stevens/Shutterstock Alex Chalk Seat: Cheltenham Lost to: Liberal Democrats A respected legal advocate, the ousted justice secretary is expected to return to practice at chambers 6KBW College Hill. Chalk had the tough task of managing a government department with an unprotected budget as it reeled from severe cuts. But he helped push through legislation to exonerate sub-postmasters caught up in the Horizon scandal. Gillian Keegan Seat: Chichester Lost to: Liberal Democrats The education secretary lost out in a three-way battle for the seat she first won in 2017. Keegan faced the unenviable job of closing more than 100 schools during her tenure over the use of unsafe concrete in their construction and was captured on a microphone complaining she received no praise for doing a “fucking good job”. Grant Shapps Seat: Welwyn Hatfield Lost to: Labour A veteran cabinet minister, Shapps was frequently turned to as a “safe pair of hands” by Sunak. A strong media performer and “attack dog” for the Conservative government, he rose to prominence in 2012 after it emerged he operated a business while an MP under the pseudonym Michael Green. Grant Shapps at his Welwyn Hatfield count © James Shaw/Shutterstock Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg Seat: North East Somerset and Hanham Lost to: Labour A prominent Brexiter, Rees-Mogg entered parliament in 2010. He served in the governments of Truss and Boris Johnson, holding positions including business secretary and Brexit opportunities minister. The social conservative repeatedly urged his party to enter a pact with Reform UK in this year’s general election. Sir Liam Fox Seat: North Somerset Lost to: Labour Having served in cabinet, Fox fell from grace under prime minister Boris Johnson and sat on the backbenches for the duration of the last parliament. He was embroiled in the expenses scandal in 2009 and stood down from his role as defence secretary after he allowed a close friend and lobbyist into confidential meetings. Mark Harper Seat: Forest of Dean Lost to: Labour A reliable figure for Sunak during his time in government, the former transport secretary was one of the few MPs not to be caught up in the expenses scandal. He resigned as immigration minister in 2014 after he discovered his cleaner was in the UK without proper documentation. This paved the way for his return to government less than six months later. Michelle Donelan Seat: Melksham and Devizes Lost to: Liberal Democrats Donelan decided to become a politician aged six. The former science minister was a strong proponent of a “culture war” strategy in government. Having served for nearly a decade, she gained attention when taxpayers footed her £15,000 legal bill after she falsely accused an academic of supporting or sympathising with Hamas. Labour Jonathan Ashworth Seat: Leicester South Lost to: Independent Ashworth was shadow paymaster-general on Starmer’s opposition front bench. First elected to parliament in 2011, he served as shadow health secretary during the pandemic and was regarded as a strong media performer. But he was pushed into second place in his constituency by an independent candidate running on a pro-Palestinian ticket. Thangam Debbonaire Seat: Bristol Central Lost to: Greens The shadow culture secretary had represented the now-reshaped seat of Bristol West since 2015 after ousting the Liberal Democrats. But on Thursday she lost to Carla Denyer, co-leader of the Green party. Previously shadow housing secretary and shadow Commons leader, Debbonaire is a former professional cellist and had been backed by figures in the arts world.
I've been watching several YouTube videos featuring interviews with people from various constituencies, and there's a common theme among those voting for Reform. They often say, "I can't vote Tory, and I won't vote Labour, so I have no choice but to vote Reform." This sentiment gives me a strong sense of déjà vu, reminiscent of the confidence among Remainers before Brexit and the optimism of the left in 2015. Is it possible we could be heading towards a dark timeline with a Tory-Reform coalition?

Just finished it on the pc having everything on high it looked so pretty. It was the perfect two weekend game about half as big as the first one introducing some more mechanics and leaning into stealth which became the most fun way for me to dispatch most the combat encounters. It really only started falling apart at the end ::: spoiler spoiler As usual with these games I'd done all the side missions with the aim of doing a ending run in one session. Map looked complete but no got to do one more for uncle Aaron. The whole ending section of the game was just needlessly padded out from the museum section nice cameo though, to the final battle with the Tinkerer outstaying it's welcome after about the fifth time she yonks Miles into the air to the very end watching him crawl to the reactor for something that should have just been a cut scene. Found Phins arc kinda meh all rushed at the end. Thought it would have been a lot better if she just trusted Miles and died trying to stop the reactor. ::: The game was a great noodle game I really like Miles as a character well worth it if you want a big game feel in a small package
