I got a Nikon z30 last week used on marketplace, it came with 2 Nikon F lenses, the kit z lens and the FTZ ii (F To Z) adapter and our previous Nikon F lens still work (exif data is present and correct and AF works for some of the F lenses, but not all of them though). The FTZ I think is quite large, it will make your lens stick out an extra 3-4cm.

One big "advantage" (for the companies) of NFTs is that the emitter can take a commission or fee every time the NFT is sold. This can kind of alleviate their fears of people buying from each other instead of buying a new copy. I think that's a fair middle ground for owning a fully digital copy, between physical copy that companies don't want and digital copy that consumers don't want.

This in my opinion is one of the valid use cases of a blockchain/NFTs: they provide provable ownership of digital goods. This means that if implemented, in the future we could actually own games music movies ebooks etc. The only remaining step would be a decentralized torrent-like system that allows the users to download the licensed content that they own via their nft.

I don't think they lost touch. They said they wanted to do something like privacy.com for credit card aliases, and I think crypto currencies are a way for them to get the infrastructure up and running without having to deal with the legal and expensive licensing stuff that comes with handling real credit cards

I think comments are good in a first resort, along with the other points you mentioned. To me reading a single line summary and or explainer will always be faster than reading 15 lines of code even if it's very well made and self documenting

From experience, Toyota hybrids basically only use the electric motor at low speeds (under 30 or 40kmh) and are balls slow with the CVT transmission. I don't think they actually use the batteries for more performance like some sportier cars. Anyways you should try both, but the corolla hybrid I tested last year was extremely slow and just basic to drive. I drove it in a mountainous area, and the poor engine was STRUGGLING
Also, smaller 4 cyl engines are very fun because they scream under high load and it feels like you are going 180 when in reality you are catching with traffic. Kia Rios are fun for that

Hello all, for a few weeks/months now, my computer has stopped going into suspend mode. Here is what happens when putting it to sleep (using GNOME's power menu) or using systemctl suspend: 1. Display turns off, peripherals turn off (keyboard lights off etc), fans spin up before sleep as usual 2. Fans go back to idle speed, computer stays on 3. Have to press the keyboard, wake the display up and go in the power menu again to suspend it (from the lock screen), and it works every time like this. I have no idea what could be preventing suspend and what I could find online did not really help a lot. I don't think it is a USB device because I tried unplugging most of them except my mouse or my keyboard and it still did not work, and the second time on the lock screen it always suspends like intended --- - Distro: Fedora 40 - DE: Gnome 46 - GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1080Ti (Wayland) - CPU: Intel 10850K - MB: Gigabyte Z590 Gaming X (everything is up to date) thx !

Je vis chez mes parents, je suis étudiant au Cégep et j'ai environ 8-10k$ en revenus par an. J'avais appliqué pour la carte de crédit Tangerine mais j'ai été refusé. J'aurais aimé l'avoir car ma banque est déjà Tangerine et ça aurait été facile pour les paiements automatiques etc Alors je me demandais quelles sont vos recommendations de carte de crédit (ou autres moyens de batir du crédit sans passer par des chemins sketchy) merci!

A chaque fois que je vois les prix en Europe, (spécifiquement les prix de téléphonie et d'internet...) je me fais rappeler à quel point notre système est con de pas afficher le prix incluant les taxes. Ça sert juste a donner une impression que quelque chose est moins cher qu'il ne l'est réellement . Pis c'est pas comme si on en est pas capables, la SAQ affiche très bien le prix incluant les taxes. Est-ce que quelqu'un ici sait si ya déja eu des projets de loi pour que tous les frais et taxes soient inclus dans le prix affiché? Il me semble que ça serait le genre de chose que l'OPC ferait.
