I dont understand. Im trying to find details/evidence for this elsewhere online with no results. Could it be mistaken? It seems almost impossible

That sucks. Personally, exercise is essential for me. Also, I would consider an ebike. I've been doing it for about a year, 30mi round trip for work. Even through most of a Michigan winter. Really trying to never have to deal with a car again. Recently got a mototcycle for those real long trips. Best of luck

I posted about this a few days ago. Thought id share that I got the bike! 02 Yamaha 225 xt in what appears to be excellent condition, 3600 miles for $2800. A very knowledgeable and helpful father and son showed it to me and help me lift it into the truck which was very appreciated. Was going to ride it today but the cold weather was too much for the dying battery. Still, im pumped! https://m.facebook.com/marketplace/item/775641931082580/?referralSurface=messenger_lightspeed_banner&referralCode=messenger_banner

I appreciate the input. Youre not the first one to suggest such bikes. Ill revist the idea.

Thanks! And yeah im pretty sure thats a typo in my favor. One of the pics is of the odometer.
Seems like its in good shape but im a noob. He's asking 3000, seems a little high to me but again, idk. Appreciate any insights.

Thanks! Seems smart, I just messaged another dealer the same question.
New rider looking for an entry level dual sport. XR 150 seems perfect. I knew it would cost more to have a new bike but an extra $900 in delivery/setup? Ive got no intention of paying. Im just *removed*in. See what yall think?

Not true. For example, people with epilepsy use to be considered demon possessed, and were sometimes executed. This happened for at least thousands of years. There's a ridiculously long list of examples of how we have come far.

Glad to hear it's going well in Western Europe, but that's far from the norm.
My point is trees are much more than wood.
Xanderill 10 months ago • 75%
2 big problems with that statement. 1st, it's being harvested at a much greater rate than it's being replenished. Second, old trees and old forests are far more valuable to the ecosystem than the cookie cutter "forests" planted after harvests.
Xanderill 10 months ago • 33%
Just reality. I thought it was pretty clear but I'll say it anyway, it's angry about deforestation, with a particular emphasis on old trees, hundreds, setumes thousand year old lynchpins in an already devastated ecosystems.
I want to hear from all yall down voters. Here's some more, similar knowledge https://www.rainforest-rescue.org/petitions/1182/electric-vehicles-are-stealth-rainforest-killers

I ride 40mins, twice a day by ebike through mostly dirt/country roads. When weather is good, its great. Less so when rainy but still partially enjoyable. Only real concern is cars...and to be fair, deer. See them every morning, usually close up. Join me in the ebike revolution

Yes! Loved this movie. If yall haven't seen the modern version, it is also awesome. "They cloned Tyrone", netflix only I think?
I've got a single speed k1 wide chain I want to put on my multispeed bike (lectric 3.0 ebike). I'm a newbie, not sure of what info on the bike might be relevant but it's a modern, 7 speed, freewheel. I've messed this up before. I tried this chain on a different bike when converting it but I kept skipping. Sounds like I need better fitting cogs? Do I need "wide" ones? Crankset and rear cog? Possible better fitting chain tensioner too? Shopping around, I'm not seeing much a difference in sizing for these parts. Any tips appreciated

Tragic and far too common. About 1,000 cyclists killed annually in the U.S. Cars are a plague.
The first article title I read on the story only said that he died. Just now ran into the more accurately titled article here on Lemmy

Ohh the drama. If you read the article you'll see most of those plants are only toxic to dogs if you eat the stems, leafs, or seeds. Clickbaity article. Of course there are some exceptions like onion and chocolate.

I think that's a good point. Sauces are so common. Good to know, but in my experience, that's not what people are referring to when they make such a comment. But maybe I'm wrong.
Sure, don't give dogs twinkies, but for that matter, don't give humans twinkies either. The idea makes it seem like dogs are aliens or something. Dog food ingredients are usually meat, grain and veggies, just like our meals. Food that is healthy for you is healthy for your dog, and vice versa.

Such parents certainly exist but in my experience, most are grateful for help. Again, iny experience, discipline can be tricky but not usually isn't too complicated. Worse case you can "tell on them".
As my edit mentioned, I agree that modern, 1st world parenting has gotten away from such evolutionary roots, but I think "diametrically opposed" is overselling it. For example, most still send their kids to school.
First of all, I find this picture hilarious regardless of whatever. It was in a healthcare textbook, baby reflexes. Also, sorry I didn't know how to rotate. Is it something easy on this app, Jerboa? I'm clueless Anyway, thought it could be good material for one of those "what people think child free is vs what it really is".
Listening to a book..."Sapiens". Author talked about how dependent kids are. How compared to other animals, our babies need alot of support in the early stages of life. Like alot of you I'm sure, I've got a fair amount of kids in my life...none of "mine" but some kind of are. I guess my point is we may not have kids, but really, they are all our kids, as supported by evolutionary biology, it takes a village. Edit: Going a bit deeper...the author explains that for millions of years, while we were tribal, nomadic gatherer/hunters. We didn't know who's kids were who's, obviously the mother was primary caretaker, but, circling back, we evolved to raise kids as a community, not so much of the "traditional" mom/dad/child dynamic popular today. I don't plan on "having kids" but still, I think it's all our responsibility (hopefully a partially enjoyable one) to help. Hard to argue anything more beneficial for our societys future than having well developed youth.
Ran out of my ritual multi vitamins and wanted some quick, got these from Walgreens. What do yall use? I know I've heard it's best to use multiple bottles for different nutritional needs but that sounds super inconvenient.
RIP my lvl 51 necro. Cause of death: Lag Is that hardcore? I don't think so. I sent Blizzard a message. Even after they directed me to there generic response of "we can't restore your HC character no matter what". I figure, enough complaints and they might try to fix the issue. Any other similar tragic stories out there?
