Yea so much for the effort
You have the freedom to fight for your rights; gov has the right to totally ignore the demands
I don’t see news on the gov backing out, and the protest isn’t escalating further either. No more action almost always mean gov wins So what’s going on with the protest now?

Thank you very much for doing the test for all of us. It is good to know that Kinvoc may not be work, at least not right out of the box without any tinkering.
I guess the safe bet would be office joycon + egress grip case then for my case

I think steamOS now has a toggle for combing as one for the first party controller, see here
I am interested to see if this is available for third party. Well, as long as a pair can be used as one it is great. Third parties’ have better grip and they allow better posture when gaming
Does it work as one controller, two controllers or nothing recognised at all? I am trying to get a pair of joycon/3rd-party for better posture. 3rd party seems to have better ergonomic designs. Any good advice on a controller? I am aware of some discussions online where binbok may or may not work, which is a mix message. Just trying to see if there are new insights on what had been tested or any good recommendations

If it is inaccessibility, it is other people’s money.
Putting it in super is good for people who can’t really save money themselves, bad for people who are able to do investment even casually.
An edge case is, extra super is also good for people who has really high income and that extra super is insignificant amount for tax benefit

what was the old direction? i think i joined reddit prior to 2020 but only discovered the sub much later
For context, I am specific about the part of this story where some developments/investors are highly subsided by the government. This allows the people to hold the government accountable and also transitively the investors that each dollar spent should benefiting the public. This news is of course in the context of the US. Yet, aren't some of our builders here also received government aids during covid (before and after). Are there any existing plan to start the rent control in Australia in similar manner? Starting off with those investors who received helps from the government first?

HSBC phone banking is excellent. It feels like they are racing to pick your phone call once you go through a few options. Used it for 3 years now and not even once I was disappointed
HSBC app is lacking behind, yet by default, online purchases are confirmed by SMS for new merchants, larger price or if they detects something odd

The Australian magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen) is a black and white passerine bird native to Australia and southern New Guinea. This species is commonly fed by households around the country, but in spring (and occasionally in autumn) a small minority of breeding magpies (almost always males) **become aggressive, swooping and attacking those who approach their nests**. Research has shown that magpies can recognise at least 100 different people, and may be less likely to swoop individuals they have befriended ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/2d0d2f20-50f2-40b1-8a8e-4acf0f66a0d0.png)

Would you kindly elaborate on the merit-based system? Are you referring to it being applied to regulate the consulting cost or it is to attract high skill employees for the government to replace the consultants?
If independent consulting isn’t a good model, what are some other good alternatives? Should we have a government agency monitors such contract and hold them accountable? So, pretty much a specialised ICAC constantly going through all gov-private contract to see if they are legitimate and determine if tax money is being ripped off?
If independent consultant model doesn’t work What are some good alternatives? Or just create a government auditing agent to continue monitor such contracts and hold them accountable?

Hello, i am a newbie in creating a smart home. I have researched a bit and planned the following stack just by reading and hopefully to get some suggestion to see if the following combinations would actually work #### Goal I am planning the main control to be Home Assistant, Homekit a nice to have, not necessary. I was looking at hubs (Aqara, Xiaomi, Ikea, Homepod) but a comment from r/aqara suggests that [ComBee II](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZ7ZHG5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) is potentially a better solution #### Components that i think might work - Home Assistant + ComBee II: as the brain power - Light bulbs: ikea rgb and aqara white/cream colour - sensor: aqara - [curtain driver: aqara](https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/aqara-roller-shade-driver-e1) - smart socket/plug: ikea and aqara #### Components not sure how to integrate - [Mijia sensors + display](https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/275298269753?chn=ps&_ul=AU&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1YHbt6D4ZSECMzOn87tgtHg40&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-139619-5960-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=275298269753&targetid=1598469862478&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9071772&poi=&campaignid=19657035767&mkgroupid=143201283022&rlsatarget=pla-1598469862478&abcId=9305369&merchantid=510834583): This is a bluetooth device that works as sensor but i am just going display those information it catches - [Aqara door bell](https://www.amazon.com/Aqara-Doorbell-Included-Recognition-Automations/dp/B0BPHTL7MG): not sure if this is a zigbee 3 device or not - Other bluetooth device - Xiaomi vacuum: not sure what protocol but isn't the biggest matter - Unsure which brand is good for security cams #### questions - Any idea if the above makes sense in practice? - Any experience on the few items that I wasn't sure of?
The black swan is a large waterbird, a species of swan which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia.
