Great bundle to purchase if you've got young kids just getting into video games.
Hello, I am attempting to raise as much of my family's diet on food we raise ourself on our family farm. We grow corn and if we wanted to we could store an infinite amount of ground corn that falls out of our machinery every year. We already have chickens for eggs and meat. Space is not an issue. What animal should we get that can be fed with corn and grass to supplement our chicken flock? I'm willing to entertain all warm blooded options.

Because "sterile" exotics often have a seed production rate at >0% in the best scenarios.
Why introduce an invasive species into the environment when there are plenty of natives that will do the trick?
Stop being so lax with noxious weed contamination risks.

Hello, I recently had a coworker mention, " You can't just smash Japanese beetles because it will only attract more through a pheromone they release when dying." Is this actually a thing or is he misremembering some old gossip's tale? Thanks, DrHugsyMcFur

Forget your "dying clean" baloney. Stop fetishizing a civil war.
I've got things I want to do in the coming years that don't involve dying to some right wing death squad or dysentery.

1a. Trust me, my shits are violent aggressive.
1b. I'll take your advice and whisper my complaints through the door crack. Maintaining eye contact the whole time. We'll even have a firm handshake afterwards.
- I'm trying to raise my elo in LiChess. I'm not breaking 1100 while also translating my neighboring stall's latin ballad.
The work bathroom is currently a warzone, on their phone speakers people like to play music, play games at full blast, and one guy likes to chill to ambient rainforest. What song can I play to passive aggressively make it known that I don't want to listen to their tik tok feeds while I work out my demons?

Does Raft require co-op to be fun?
I recently picked up The Forest and I found that The Forest is tough to enjoy without co-op because of enemy difficulty.
Does Raft suffer from this?

Lol, Mr. Duncan does provide a very entertaining pop-history podcast don't get me wrong, but please don't go quoting him as a reference.
I think you and I are arguing two different things, your source lumps together all the deaths during the Revolution, including Reactionary military actions while I am arguing specifically that very few people of the 3rd estate were killed extra judicially as a method of "terror" by the guillotine.
Best of luck in your slow road to fascism. I hope you succeed in improving your lot with non-violent means. Maybe if the revolutionaries asked nicely Louis would've just enacted the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen voluntarily.

Do you have a source for that claim? As far as I know most of the people guillotined were emigres or members of the upper class who went against the prevailing political party at the time.
Many commoners did die in the Revolution, but they mostly died in the infernal columns or similar military actions in the Vendee region and other reactionary uprisings.

I can see that this is super funny to you, but some people with chronic allergies can't enjoy their vacations or go about their lives because inconsiderate people demand to bring their pets to public areas such as hotels or stores.

In the American system you need more than just a majority in congress to pass a resolution like federal abortion legalization.
drhugsymcfur 8 months ago • 100%
This is not enough seats to overcome a filibuster which would be required to legalize abortion in all the states. They would have required 1 Republican to vote with the Democrats on this topic and I think even in the kinder political times that Republican would have been strung up on a light pole when they returned back to their home district.

If you and your wife have never tried venison before I would recommend you find a source for a few pounds of wild venison to try before you make the time/money investment into hunting. It would suck to spend $1000 on gun, tag, time, and butcher fees just to learn that you don't like the taste. And it definitely has a taste, I wouldn't call it bad, but it is different.
My family only accepts my venison ground in recipes with plenty of seasoning e.g. pasta and tacos.
1 deer will definitely supplement your meat diet, but it won't allow you to maintain the standard American 1 meat item per lunch/supper diet. I killed 2 deer this year and I ended up with about 130lbs of meat total after butchering and jerky. That was on private land. Expect less success on public land.

Huh, do you have a brand recommendation for a 75 dollar installed inline coolant heater?
drhugsymcfur 8 months ago • 100%
Idk how engine heaters in Scandinavia work, but in North America they only heat the oil pan. So your oil won't be too thick when you start your engine, but it wont heat your cabin.
For that we would need to buy a shore power coolant pump/heater. Which exists but the extra 1000 dollar price doesn't lend itself to popularity.

What purpose does the cornstarch in your recipe serve?
Can dolphins or whales live in fresh water? They don't need to breathe in water so assuming they have enough prey I don't see why the water's saltinity affects them. But then why don't we have dolphins playing in the Mississippi river?
I canned a few cups of apples this fall. Now that I pull the apples out for some baking, i find that my apples are just barely more firm than applesauce. Does anyone have any tips on keeping apples firm after canning?

You cannot feed 8 billion people with the arable land that we have available without synthetic fertilizer.
https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/world-population-with-and-without-fertilizer
Even if we were to Thanos snap the world population and feed those people with only compost/manure/night soil, a large percentage of the labor force would need to go into food production, and cheap food would no longer be a possibility.
Farmers are using all the manure that they have available in the most efficient manner that the market will bear right now and even then I don't know about any for profit farmer in my extension office who doesn't use additional synthetic fertilizer.
drhugsymcfur 10 months ago • 100%
Yeah and it didn't have an affect on slavery as a market force at all.
The Caribbean slave colonies were still the biggest profit producing colonies that the European powers had because of their cane sugar production.
Little people like us sure can help, but what we really need is government policy to force change. There are always going to be too many people driven by cost rather than the ethics of an issue.

Attempting to can apples for the first time and I am pretty confident that I filled the can up to the 1/2" point before the headspace starts. But after I pulled them out of the canner I have a good 1" of only liquid that the apples are floating on. Did I do something wrong? Is there a good way to really pack apples into the can before they go into the canner to avoid this wasted space?

Even though it would be sweet if Joe threw on some aviators and said on national television, "420 legalize it bruh." He can't. It will require congress to be functional and do something that the average American supports.

If you catch them ripe then they are a seedy soft banana with a different flavor. It's so soft that the best way to eat it is with a spoon using the peel as a bowl.
But they have a very short window of ripeness, there's a reason that they're not commercially grown and it's generally because of the short ripeness window and they're easy to bruise during transport.
If you've got the space and the time go for it, it's a fun little conversation starter to give family, neighbors, & coworkers something that they may not know grows right in their back woodlot.

So because 1-2 Democrats held up progress you're going to support the party that had all 49-50 members opposed to your goals?
I empathize with your frustration with the Democratic party but voting 3rd party only puts the Republicans in power. The most useful thing to do within the current voting structure is to use the Primary Elections to try to nominate a more radical senator or representative that thinks like you.
