That's actually kind of a good point, if a horror is far enough literally beyond our comprehension. Is it really a horror?

For the most part, but maybe a quick skim of their Wikipedia pages would help. Or try asking Copilot to give you move spoiler free summaries of the characters. Bit of overlap but this should give an ok base of info. https://sl.bing.net/jeamSKws8G // https://sl.bing.net/jM0nsgjJa68

Planning is well and good but your present self should be driving towards your future, not the other way around which is how this kind of feels. In some ways it strike me that you seemed to see yourself as the future state person that you wanted to be rather than who you are. It may be worth taking a step back to try and rediscover who you really are "right now" as a person, not what you think or thought you wanted to be, if the plan has been in place that long you may find that at heart you just aren't in the same headspace as the you from all those years ago. With that done, reassess what the current you wants and set out to "make" those things happen, don't trust for the new plan to just natural play out, each thing should at least be treated like its going to take effort. If getting a family together is a thing and really important, don't just hang out at bars waiting for a connection to happen. Get on apps and sites and date like it's your 2nd job. Building on that as an example, if you're a halfway decent person you will find somebody, but it might still be person 112 and you have to put in the work to get through the first 111 to get to them.

"Book It" had nothing to do with Grades, just raw effort. In my area at least, but I thought it was pretty universal in its execution.

Yeah, the new emphasis on "pollinator gardens/spaces" has maybe made it better, but when the conversation was "save the bees they are important pollinators" the public 100% saw it as a bee specific issue.

May have mixed feelings about the "timeless" bit, depending deeply on how it's meant. Do I think you'll find a buyer at any given time in the foreseeable future? Probably, yes. But I would have very mixed feelings about having that in my house. (Space consumption, cool on its own to some degree but clashing with basically everything else and cherubs are not my jam, maybe a status symbol since it isn't the norm.)

You were a Russian agent for implying that you wouldn't still vote Dem in the event that he didn't quit. Also the enthusiasm over Kamala, and now Walz as well, is great but absolutely unprecedented. While people certainly believed we could and would figure things out if Biden stepped down promptly, I don't think anyone honestly believed things would come together anywhere near "this" well. Which makes it all feel extra satisfying in the aftermath.

Still irrelevant to a coop conversation thread, but I've seen people Solo 9-Helldive. They are beasts, but the people going for the highest difficulty usually are. Not everyone is cut out for any given games max level, that's part of how difficulty levels work, you find the place that challenges you in an achievable way. "I" for instance am not cut out for Legendary difficulty in any Halo campaign. And 9-Helldive with a full team is going to be dicy for me and I'm probably going to be getting carried a bit.

Also this is a reply to someone who specifically mentioned coop so kind of irrelevant.

That or some iteration of "search it". Interesting that I see a lot of people emphasizing the "online" here but that seems so implied to me that I don't usually include it, and I am not young. Not sure what to think of that.

IMO, it's fine and good, but it is something you should opt into. If you know what's going on and know to backup your recovery keys, or just make normal backups, then all is well. But if you are unprepared it's fairly easy for you to end up locked out of your data in a lot of scenarios where it would have been recoverable without bitlocker turned on.

The meme is real, but that doesn't mean that Mozilla is suddenly bankrupt. I can't speak to Mozilla specifically, but there are non-profits like Wikipedia that set up stores of money equal to at least a full year of operating expenses, so that they can work to pivot in the face of exactly this kind of eventuality.

This may be as much a bug on the source instance as anything but I'm not sure. So I was trying to share this post from Memes@lemmy.ml; https://lemmy.ml/post/4814128 But Sync is generating a link back to the post's record on OP's instance. https://startrek.website/post/1658921 And while the community link works fine. The link from OPs instance is buggy. On my phone at least. Firefox keeps trying to download a .bin file and Chrome opened it ok 1 time but ever since I keep getting a Jason/xml looking code snippet page instead. Going to startrek.website itself and browsing around is fine though.
Taken from an AI community.
If Sync could integrate searching lemmyverse.net, or a similar source, when searching for communities, I think it would really smooth out the user experience, especially for newbies. If I could set that as my default community search in the app I 100% would.
This is kind of a test. I'm having trouble posting in Risa
Can't have a Stargate community without this post being posted.

When I try to create a community, the create button turns into a spinning icon after I click it and it just sticks like that, forever. I tried like...15m ago and that attempt is still spinning. I've tried multiple times, its not just one bugged attempt.
