All is not lost friend. Believe it or not there are people in the US who care about this shit and are actively fighting it (and by extension, you)

Very interesting, I wasn’t aware of specifics. Obviously I don’t think it’s impossible, but I would think that the grand majority don’t, while this bootleg technique would have a higher rate of creating worse problems for people already suffering and essentially sealing their fate.
We need to tackle big pharma for the problem it is: greed and neglect and I don’t think a pirated solution will make that in any way better for people.
Maybe it does for some but hurts others worse. Which is the same coin as big pharma but worse for some. That’s my perspective, but I hope that an open-source style solution would gain more traction rather than one that’s essentially just ripped music.
People deserve to be healthy

College was huge for me. Much more diversity in the people and better chances of making friends with mature, educated people (not to say that they don’t exist outside of college, just that the pickings were much easier/reliable)

Not sure honestly what the cause is (I doubt there’s a singular explanation, nothings black and white like that ever)
I do know there are some common problems with contamination, costs (China might’ve grabbed this opportunity), market demand for whatever the output of the recycling operation is fluctuating, logistics, and I’m gonna argue that there’s not really much legislation to push for this.
The good news is they recently were able to make graphene with plastics (very high demand, tough to produce) which could be huge for civ as a whole. Things like space elevators are more plausible with advances like these

Good luck. All the people who would’ve used this policy already killed themselves. That’s the grim fucking reality.

I’m debating whether or not to even engage with you here given that you just gaslit a stranger because you’re upset about what the ruling class isn’t doing for you (presumably) - are you assuming maliciousness where ignorance might’ve sufficed?
You tell me. If you knew that you had all these great ideas and support for people but knew if you didn’t complete this first step, someone else’d be elected and do the opposite of those things, would you willingly lose and put those people you support at risk??
Do you really and truly think that progressives/liberals don’t care about trans rights? After all the bickering these rich assholes do on every damn channel on TV?
Give me a break.
You are valid in being frustrated You are allowed to have feelings and emotions about your treatment/mistreatment
But none of that makes it okay for you to take it out on your neighbors during a discussion which was trying to emphasize that politics are about strategy, not only morals.
This country operates via a leader person who’s voted for by majority count. In other words, that’s one person who needs to cater to 345 MILLION people.
Sometimes that means keeping your mouth shut on a particular issue temporarily to secure the win. When you’ve won, then you can start acting on those things you held off on emphasizing.
The alternative is that the other rich asshole not only comes in and withholds support, but also comes in and takes active measures to make it worse for these groups.
If it’s between regression and stagnation, I’m not happy with either. I will still take stagnation however because walking something back after it’s been walked back will only be harder.
When I go to pride festivals/parades I’m there to show my support. That’s active support.
Just because I don’t bring up LGBTQ+ rights and arguments at work doesn’t mean I don’t support them. Sometimes, by giving new dem voters some time to acclimate to the waters, you can give them the food later and they’ll be more likely to eat then, rather than when they’re first getting in the pool.
As much as some would like it to be true, you can’t just cram “new” morals down people’s throats and expect miraculous results. You can’t just tell people they’re a POS for not believing in what you believe in and expect them to be like “yo! I am an ignorant, holier-than-thou asshole… you’re right!” There is grace (growing thinner by the election cycle) and strategy in politics. Not everything is as shallow or malicious as people want them to be.

Beautiful article thanks for sharing.
This highlights the problem that inherently exists in nature: feedback loops.
Repeated exposure to similar information or signals amplifies/entrenches existing patterns and can lead to distortion, narrowing frequencies, and reduced adaptability.
Its why these people turn into racists, sexists, abusers, etc. they get what they want all the time simply because they have money and power and know how to game systems. So they learn on those narrow pathways that they get what they want when they want.
They learn a reality that doesn’t exist for the greater whole because they themselves are not living as the greater whole does. None of this is rocket science.
I have to conclude that Extreme wealth threatens the stability of our society. Not arguing for communism or anything else. Every path has its hazards and shortcuts. Just pointing out problems and opening the floor to discussion of the problem and potential solutions

Hey all! While investigating some malvertising campaigns today, I noticed that one of the sponsored google search results, upon hovering, appeared to be changing/resolving through rather than simply showing what link was being used by the result. Any ideas as to how this hover url result works and if you can disable resolving/force top-level results upon hovering over anchor elements? Malvertising is hot hot hot!
Hey all, got a quick question! I want to receive, parse and store syslogs from various devices on my home network on my windows box. I know, I know, its a bit backwards but I'd like to proceed with this sort of setup if possible (not against discussion, of course). I've looked and looked for options but it seems like everything has been bare bones and basically just receives, or is locked behind premium. Surely there's some sort of solution out there, no? I'd be willing to implement something in Python if I need to but I'm considerably more hesitant when compared to using an open source soln. Thanks for your time, looking forward to discussing/learning more!
Anyone else getting tired of all the click bait articles regarding PoisonGPT, WormGPT, etc without them ever providing any sort of evidence to back up their claims? They’re always talking about how the models are so good and can write malware but damn near every GPT model I’ve seen can barely write basic code - no shot it’s writing actually valuable malware, not to mention FUD malware as some are claiming. Thoughts?
