In cell arc only gohan achieves ssj2 and it’s while fighting perfect cell after he kills android 16.
In hyperbolic time chamber gohan and goku perfect the ssj form so it doesn’t use as much energy or not more than base form.
Trunks “discovers” buff ssj1 form that is stronger but slower

Pole here with Ukrainian wife. Actually it’s a traditional Ukrainian dish.
Ruskie has nothing to do with Russia, it’s how the land was named in the past (ruś).
Russia actually took the name for themselves as a part of the assimilation tactic. That’s when Ukrainians started calling themselves Ukrainians to differentiate themselves.
Say to my wife that pierogi are polish dish or have anything to do with Russia and she will rip your head off

Tbh it’s worse than fallout. In fallout you didn’t have loading screens every 15 minutes. Going from planet to planet is just a loading screen after loading screen and some additional meaningless steps like “get out of spaceship”. It’s a Bethesda game but with worse exploration mechanics. But now we know what fallout/tes in space from bethesda is gonna be like.
Otherwise it’s decent. Mind you I haven’t gotten far but story is kind of interesting, side stories(the larger ones) as well. I think they did a good job with lore. Can’t say anything against shooty combat, don’t know about melee.
I just wish there was less garbage to pick up. In a game where you can gather materials for crafting and projects etc, where you are in a room with 20 object you can take but just 2 of them are not trash it’s tiresome

I dislike the narrative that it’s “not officially out”. It is, for people who paid for it. It’s just that people who paid less need to wait.

It’s one of the reasons why I didn’t upgrade my a14 air to m1.
I would love to be able to have a laptop for some light programming when I travel occasionally. But I don’t NEED a laptop on day to day basis.
I use my iPad every day, it’s light, it got a pen, I can take it anywhere.
MacBook or any other laptop would just sit and collect dust, I have a pc for those needs.

Jesus Christ. I don’t watch tech YouTube anymore, I just come back when I need to buy a pc part or something. Back when I did, Linus seemed like a guy with integrity, I guess I was wrong.
It first started with buying stock or w/e in that laptop company and stating that he personally won’t review their or anyone else’s laptops. But it didn’t matter, even back then. You and your wife are sole owners of media outlet that would review those laptops. You gotta pull out of that part or not invest.
And now all of the things Steve said. Cross brand promotions, not giving a fuck about their tests accuracy, constant errors.
But to me the most egregious thing is always Linus reaction. Condescending, hostile, with superiority starting with “uh, eh guuuuuuuyyyys, I can’t….” When he thinks of any arguments followed by doubling down either by “I’m experienced” or “it costs ME money to be accurate”. Like, removed I don’t give a fuck, it’s your job to give accurate, trustworthy information. And Luke just sits there like a Linuses removed he is.
And the waterblock cooler example is so infuriating. He tested a prototype, on a card that the makers said they don’t know if it would work, and shat on it. Would he use i don’t care know, cooler made for am4 board on intel whatever their socket name is? (One that doesn’t have adapters or something)
He either was always like that but didn’t have enough clout to act like it or money really changes a man. Guy is no longer the “buddy fellow tech nerd guy” he still would like ppl to see him as. But his fanboys won’t see the truth and it will always stay like this

I’m sorry but you are wrong. Role queue is a godsend to this game, most of the competitive community loves it. No longer you have to pray that your team comp will look somewhat decent instead of everyone instalocking dps and one poor shmuck going for support.
Besides, you don’t want role queue? It’s still there, open competitive exists

I would add to that lack of support for DualShock haptic feedback and adaptive triggers over Bluetooth on pc. So we are paying full price for in some ways inferior product
I played rift apart on ps5 cause I got it for free with the console. And while it’s an enjoyable game I started playing it and not sold immediately because I was curious about DualShock features(and they are good in this game)

I do not want to recreate 40 years of best practices, I want to understand them and try to implement them. That’s why I’m asking for some reading, educational material. It’s not that I’m averse to using an engine, it’s just not something I set out to do
For some time I've been trying to create some rudimentary hack'n'slash game. I didn't want to use ready game engine because I consider it more of an exercise in programming a game than an honest attempt at creating one if that makes sense. So I started with SFML. Along the way I've recognized the need for loading settings from files(Json library), logging, map editor(ImGUI) etc and it's posing a questions to me for which I struggle to find answers to. For example let's consider map editor. Currently loading/saving the map to file is done by TileMap class itself but I don't know if it should be. If the map is not as big as render window, should it itself be responsible for centering it or class/function using it should do it? What about scrolling map bigger than render window? Another example is I have Entity class (player, monster can be entity) which can have Graphics, Physics component etc and it is responsible for rendering itself. But I don't know if it's the right approach. I would like to have logic separate from drawing but Entity essentially merges the two with some extra steps Add to that is that I would like to painlessly inject debug enabled logging into different parts of this code and I'm afraid I will end up with spaghetti monster for code What this long windup is leading to is a question. How do I write render independent, reusable game architecture? Where can I read more about this so I can make better decision about what I'm creating. Now that I've read all of this before submitting it seems to me like what I'm really asking is "how do I make a game engine?". And this was not supposed to be exercise in creating one, at least I didn't think so when I started

As I said I suck at crossposting here. There is a link embedded in title that has more details of what I'm after and why
https://kbin.social/m/DnD/t/156689/How-to-make-mechanically-sound-DnD-5E-character
I have no idea how to crosspost on kbin and I just found this community to ask
I'm not sure if this is the right magazine to ask this because it doesn't pertain to pen and paper game. With Baldur's Gate 3 release closing in I would like to learn how to make a mechanically sound character. How to distribute points, what abilities to take, why take them etc. Up to this point with cRPGs I was winging it and basing on gut feeling and brief in game description but for this one I would like to construct a proper character. I've tried googling but everything I've been able to find either focuses on "make a backstory" and glosses over "here toss in those points" or is a full on dissertation about mechanics. I'm looking for something lighter and easier to digest
Hi, as it’s in my title. I’m looking for narrative driven games with good story, something I can play on my steam deck. Not something open open world but more of a on rails experience. Things I’ve played that that should give rough idea what I have in mind: * The last of us * until dawn/the dark pictures anthology series * the quarry * new/remakes of resident evil games * Road 96 * Alan Wake remake I obviously have a horror/mystery preferences and I want the story to be told to me, I don’t like the dark souls approach of “guess or read all of the in game books or w/e to have a chance at glimpsing a hint of a story”

- It’s his body. The tape is the answer. When making everybody’s suits they used IT tape to seal the suit. That tape let in radiation or whatever and killed people sent to clean. In Julie’s case they used superior mechanics tape that properly sealed her suit allowing her to survive
- I would wager entrance to other silos

Playing about 6 hours a day for two week since release, and after that about 1-2 hours a day I’ve experienced no server issues. The only exception was this past weekend ddos.
This game is phenomenal, with yesterday’s patch became even better, I like multiplayer aspect and just randomly doing some event with a bunch of ppl instead of being on my lonesome.
Why are ppl so insistent on hating on this game is beyond me. Overwatch complaints at least have some merit

I’ve seen the show about mint or two ago and now I’m playing the game for the first time. You know some major plot points but they don’t play out like in the show. There are some added characters and backstories for characters existing in game(for example the whole bill and frank episode) based on just snippets of lore provided in game.
I would say it’s worth it. But full disclosure, I got the game for free with my GPU
