I've read several books in the Objectivists library, including Atlas shrugged, the fountainhead, and the virtue of selfishness.
For a certain kind of person, I do think they have value in showing a different ethical/moral framework. To wit, if you have been raised on the principal that you must always sacrifice your own happiness for others, then Onjectivist philosophy is quite novel and can actually be helpful in moving towards a more self-actualized thought mode.
For most others, however, it can turn you into a raging a-hole.
In terms of how tenable the overall principles are in practice, just remember that Rand herself went on social security.

That's pretty much it. There was a WSJ article about this very thing: frequent flyer miles are more based on spending with the airline CC then by actually flying.

Windows is like the corner prostitute: pay some money, usually get what you want although not the best, occasionally get some horrible disease
Linux is like the sweet SO: has its quirks but you love them for it. let's you grow in your skills but that can be challenging at times. Surprises you in good and bad ways.
Edit: for grammar

Can confirm that with pihole you still get these. I browse with vanilla chrome on my phone at home and use a pihole, and I get these messages.

Similar in principle to carbon emissions: yeah, people individually have a carbon footprint, but corporations and industrial activities dwarf that.

Using the touch screen as a pain, for sure. However, nearly all commands on the touch screen can be accessed via voice commands from a button on the steering wheel. In practice, the need to use the touch screen while driving (other than to monitor your speed and cruise control settings) is practically zero.

The voice commands work as well as anything. It's much easier to push the roller button on the steering wheel and say "turn on defroster" than to manipulate controls (either on a touch screen or non-touch screen interface)

Enjoyed watching the race and seeing Baltimore in a good light. Lived there for 5 years and was hoping they would go through my old neighborhood....but alas no luck.. a little too close to Greenmount I guess lol.
I always enjoyed cycling out in the countryside. Baltimore is great in that you can live in the city but be out in beautiful roads along horse farms in 15 minutes.

There is an old Behind the Bastards pod on Manafort that's a good listen. Not to ruin the story but ..he is a Bastard.
Happened to be in the area of with masters track national going on at the same time. Never seen track racing before so checked it out. Rock Hill looked like a nice outdoor velodrome. Never seen team pursuit before but kudos to the Masters athletes putting in the pain purely for love of cycling, sport and competition. Cool to see. Some sick bikes on display also. Lucky I live to far away from a velodrome otherwise would probably be adding another couple of bikes + workouts into the mix!

I actually like it, but overall probably depends on the type of gravel you're going through. But I tend to like wet and sloppy conditions overall. The only thing I don't like is the grit being thrown up in my eyes. That gets a little tiresome.

Stupid. Love girmay..hope this gets worked out in time for him and his country men to compete.
I already have a cross bike (bought new last year) that works pretty well for gravel with a number of gravel races and lots of miles and elevation on it with no problem. A local guy is selling a gravel specific bike that I love the look of but is essentially the same geometry although a little shorter wheelbase and 650b tires. Other than n+1, why should I buy a gravel bike? Wrong answers only. Bonus points for adressing the inevitable eye rolls from the SO about another bike in the garage.
