My critique of the video is the creator's devoted need to make people feel concerned about something that really isn't that big of a deal.
The "call the guy" rhetoric really speaks for itself. Look at how it's presented.

- I have snapshots included as well.
- Bugs found even in Testing and Stable can be prevented from entering Manjaro repos!
I stand by my point that the update strategy is a feature. You might not understand this, but my experience speaks for itself!

What about the 20 years between 1990 and 2010? The 25 years between 1990 and 2015?
I'm not saying they didn't happen, but they seem to be happening much more frequently now. Hence why we actually have groundings to see what's going on.
I really think it's a cultural issue. People get lazy, think technology/training will do it for them, and then reality hits. Hard.
Edit: Or, I guess, pilot error isn't the cause? If it is pilot error, though, then maybe my theory has some credence?

30 minutes of bullshit, and hopefully you can see how this guy who's paid to make videos has a vested interest in making them seem... interesting.

I'm not talking about convicting the perpetrator. Please stop assuming, lol.
Legally speaking, there is no ambiguity.
But in reality, there is. If you can't understand that, it's probably because you don't want to.

Sensationalism.

I don't see why you think the constituency would routinely make worse decisions than the people they put in power.
Fact is a large portion of the population has no problem voting incompetently and/or under the influence of malicious talking heads.
What makes you think politicians are exempt from this?

I'm on Manjaro, so I think it'll be included shortly after it's released :(

I totally agree. I have mad respect for Linus for the work he's done and the immense amount of removedation he's had to sift and fight his way through.
I have very little respect for the people critiquing his behavior while contributing nothing of value themselves.

Prolly cause your boss doesn't have half the responsibilities Linus did or had to deal with as many removed.

I think he knows that but is cleverly pretending that you meant something else.
I don't think this is a bad thing.

So just vote for the issues that matter to you.
Either way, you get more control than having someone else make the decisions for you.

You keep saying what is required as though it's absolute fact.
I just said you can "can pass the training and certification [and inspections] then still slack off in the field." What part about this is so difficult for you to understand?

Pretty much every restaurant loads their food up with sugar or salt because that's what makes it taste good.
We've become addicted to salt so much that we don't even realize we're getting too much of it. You won't make it as a chef if you don't make your food unhealthy. Putting in a healthy amount of salt will always result in your food tasting 'bland.'

Couldn't disagree more, depending on the location.
Pretty much ever McDonald's outside of major cities is a social hub for locals. People will go there everyday and spend hours inside talking with each other.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought the residents were always disrespectful of the city.
Something like Venice having the filthiest water of any city because the residents just dump their trash into it.
I dunno, I never really understood the reverence for Italian culture 🤷
They always seem to put the shittiest people on top while good people go unnoticed.

Fun fact: there is always a divided congress because the ruling class just adjusts its spending on elections to ensure nothing ever gets done in our favor.
As soon as we start voting more/for better candidates, they start spending more. They haven't even scratched the surface of how much they can spend to control the government; they don't need to yet.
As the disparity in wealth continues to grow, they'll just have even more money to ensure their grip for generations.

They're willfully using vague language because they know talking specifics weakens their argument.
It's a pretty common tactic these days, so I always ask for specifics or point out that they are not being given.
The headline is misleading because trans teens can still be treated.

Everytime they get caught in a lie, more people have to realize they've been duped.
Imagine shouting from the rooftops "beheaded babies!" and then it turns out to be false. Hopefully that will put things into perspective for some.
I'm curious about getting into the comic and would like to start where the show currently has ended.
They have a right to defend themselves. They wouldn't have been treated as nicely as they've treated Gazans if the roles were switched. Hamas decided to attack people who were so merciful to them when they wouldn't have shown such mercy.
