Disney ruined the Hitman industry. There used to be hundreds of small, Mom and Pop assassin bureau's that maybe didn't always succeed in killing the target but you could tell they cared about ending people's lives. They put heart and soul into the assassination business. But now Disney has gobbled all of them up and it's just one cookie cutter hit after another. No creativity, no imagination. They pretty much just walk up to their targets in broad daylight then use the Disney lawyers on the back end if anyone tries to stop them. I sure miss the good old days.
That was a joke. I don't think Disney is running an assassin business, they're not Boeing.

People keep focusing on the slur and his apology. The context of what he is saying wouldn't be any better if he used an acceptable word for gay people. Either way, both times, he was saying that there are too many gay priests and that he wishes that there were less of them. This is bigoted regardless of the specific words used.

When I was a kid I came up with a name for the group that snuck in and set up those signs, "Polite People for the Cessation of Byway Maintenance". They always put their protest signs up a respectful distance away and always just the one in each direction, thus the polite people part.

So, instead of saying, "Catholic seminaries were already too full of [bundle of sticks]" instead he meant to say that "Catholic seminaries were already too full of homosexuals". I'm not sure fixing the one word helps his message or is actually even the problem.
The term he used is being censored on here so I used a substitute.

I don't think they should reboot a show or remake a movie that was initially successful and still holds up. Ironically it seems like that's the criteria for rebooting a show or remaking a movie.

The last season of Dr. Who I watched was season 9, so I'm a little behind. I liked a lot of the episode. I appreciated seeing Donna again, and I'm glad of the outcome. I thought the ending was a bit bad and I hated how the TARDIS looked on the inside. I don't know, I guess they are getting back into the flow of things, but something just seemed a bit off for most of the episode.
I did like the UNIT woman in the wheelchair. Other than the part at the very end she was great and I would hope to see her again. I'm also glad that Donna stayed on as a companion, even if accidently.

He didn't buy the company with the intent to kill it, he didn't even intend to buy the company at all. He made a joke offer to buy the company and took it to far, so they were able to sue him and force him to buy the company. If anything he hoped to get some trade secrets out of them before withdrawing the offer.

Reddit got caught unprepared by the protests, they are probably working on a shadow mod feature and forgot to hide it from the log. Deleting an already removed post is a fairly inconspicuous way to demo the feature.

Not only is "female" a dirogitory way to refer to a human woman, but it has been widely know since at least the late '80s. Why do you think the Ferengi in Star Trek:TNG use the term? People at the time weren't confused, they knew immediately that the Ferengi were sexist.

I know it's a weird thing to say, but instead of feeling hurt maybe try to feel disappointed instead. It sounds like your friend wanted you there, and since you weren't she tried to include you. It doesn't sound like they planned to buy the dress without your input, more like an opportunity came up to go shopping. So if you treat it more like a disappointment that you weren't there you can commiserate with your friend then find something else to do together. Being hurt implies that it was more something that your friend did to you than something that just kinda happened.

I think #4 is stated incorrectly. Premises are the parts of an argument assumed to be true. Begging the question happens when the conclusion you are trying to argue for is included, hidden or not, in the premises.
