Reconfiguring Keychron V3 Max's F3 key to send the same signal my old K2 did

On my just departed [Keychron K2](https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k2-non-backlight-wireless-mechanical-keyboard?variant=39627685003353), the default Mac-specific key set supported the special functions of the F3 key for both iOS and macOS but not - if I recall correctly - on iPadOS. Those special functions being Mission Control on macOS and triggering the App Switching view on iOS. Though I very much appreciate the theory and sentiment behind supporting open-source customizable layouts in the design of the keyboard I've replaced that one with (**[Keychron V3 Max with knob](https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-v3-max-qmk-via-wireless-custom-mechanical-keyboard)**,) so far, the latter has been significantly less functional for me. *Just focusing on F3 key to start* As it came by default, the V3's F3 key is labeled as Mission Control and appears to be mapped to the special Mission Control function in Via. On macOS, this appears to be true. However, it does not appear to be sending the same signal as the K2 was, because the V3 in the same configuration does *not* trigger the App Switching view on iPhone. Unfortunately, I think I was dosing off having left videos about this topic play in the background the other night, so I'm not entirely sure, but I thought I heard whoever was reviewing a K2 suggest that - unlike the V3, now - the K2 "fooled" Apple devices into "thinking it was an apple magic keyboard." Is there any truth to that differentiation? Is that the direction I should go in pursuit of figuring out how to get the F3's special function working on my iPhone, iPad, and macOS without needing a remap? But ultimately the most specific/consequential question: **is there a way I can configure my V3 Max to send *precisely* the same signals from F3 was my K2 was?** Thanks for your time!

technology Technology Microsoft Account to local account conversion guide erased from official Windows 11 guide — instructions redacted earlier this week

I appreciate all of the privacy and ethics-associated reasons why it is preferable to start a Windows 11 installation with a local account, but if I could just add one more...

When you use a Microsoft account to do so, the operating system still requires a fucking username for the name of your user directory (because a local account must be created regardless, yes,) and all it has to go on is the email address you used to set up your Microsoft account.

A few years ago when I first installed Windows 11 on my home PC, the email address still associated with my primary account was ihadtopee@gmail.com.

So, what do you think my user account folder was named? You'd probably assume it'd be ihadtopee, right?

No. Through whatever process they set up to decide upon this, Windows 11 came up with ihadt.

Perhaps it makes me a superficial person, but that shit bugs me far more than anything else about the whole thing.

Depending on the generation of CR-V, I suppose - and without any hard math/stats despite how hard I've tried - I suspect the net impact of your relative driving it for the rest of its usable life vs buying a brand new EV to be significantly less, considering Lithium mining, curb weight, etc.

    The State of Tweet Mockups

does anybody have/know of any **still-working** apps/services for creating mocked-up images of single Tweets? It occurs to me that I'm late in addressing this and panicking a little bit lol... Given the state of things, it definitively no longer makes sense to embed them imo... (`publish.twitter.com` stopped working a few weeks back, anyway, which was a real wakeup call lol.) ... but obviously, I still come across Twitter content I absolutely want to retain every day. (if you're still not sure what I'm talking about - the exact same function as [Re:Toot](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/re-toot/id1661697436)'s exclusive purpose, but for Tweets instead of Mastodon posts.) I've inadvertently spent more than an hour this morning going back through my favorite old methods and loosely classifying their current states. lmk if anyone desires more details on that.

Create a customizable, feature-rich Apple Reminder for a single file. | RoutineHub https://routinehub.co/shortcut/17360

![Mocked-up iPhone 15 Pro screenshot of an example result of my File Reminder shortcut.](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/83fb9f5e-152b-4f31-8849-aebcf6f8aaf9.png) I created this Shortcut to address a long-present and costly need of my own: **interlinked, visible task management per single files of all types**. It has begun to assist me in slowing the accumulation of redundant/duplicate/forgotten/lost files across all of my various file systems. Out of the box, this version requires [**Toolbox Pro**](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/toolbox-pro-for-shortcuts/id1476205977) for its whole function. ### Video Demo - [HardLimit](https://video.hardlimit.com/w/2nCTWX1FdQSWXEtXszADci) - [YouTube (Shorts)](https://youtube.com/shorts/cJwCNlTULbo) - [Imgur](https://imgur.com/a/yFx4W3K) Shown are two methods: 1. Running the Shortcut independently (which will show a file picker.) 2. Running the Shortcut from the Share Sheet. ### Setup Steps 1. Choose native Apple Files tag(s) to attach to the input file. (Optional) 2. Customize behavior of the [Change Case Action](https://matthewcassinelli.com/actions/change-case). (Optional) 3. Customize the output format of the [File Size detail](https://matthewcassinelli.com/actions/format-file-size). (Optional) 4. Choose a List in Apple Reminders in which to add the Reminder result. (Optional) 5. Choose whether or not the Reminder result will include an Alert. (Required) 6. Choose the priority of the Reminder result. (Optional) 7. Choose whether or not the Reminder result will be flagged. (Required) 8. Choose tags (in Apple Reminders) to attach to the Reminder result. (Optional)

    Shortcuts for Timery and Charty?

Howdy folks! Pretty straightforward ask: though [**Timery for Toggle**](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/timery-for-toggl/id1425368544) new charting features + corresponding Shortcuts action are incredible and almost certainly all I'd ever need, I was wondering if anybody out there had ever taken the time to integrate Timery data with [**Charty**](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/charty-for-shortcuts/id1494386093) via shortcuts actions. Thanks!
