But i can't seem to upload images for some reason so never mind....
Look, when you right click on a directory in dolphin, you'll see the option "link to activity" You can see your activities by pressing "meta + q" and cycle with "meta + tab"
then, when you link the directory through a particular activity, then when you are in that activity, you will see that particular directory on the desktop if you have selected that option "Files linked to current activity"

Ok, it's hard to explain for me just through words. I'll have to show through screenshots

Well, you can scroll through the desktops if you have that virtual desktop widget on your pannel. Or have you tried making a shortcut? In gnome, it's meta+scroll wheel so maybe give that. Try
evirac 1 year ago • 100%
You know activity? Like you can have different widgets, different wallpapers and different windows open in different activities. Like if you've got two activities, you can think of it as two sides of a coin.

I think that's fine. Your privacy is as valuable as you think it is. If you care about privacy, then you'll be on the lookout for this but if you don't even care to bother taking a look at what you're signing up for, you obviously don't care about your privacy

Update: I found the option to delete duplicate acounts from configure kmail
but now it just doesn't show any tasks at all. Not even personal tasks
I started using kalender as my task manager because of the recommendation, and I am really liking it but right now I opened it and it shows me my mail tasks 3 times for whatever reason. How can I fix it?

My brother was working for a US-based VPN fairly recently. Handled reporting bugs and doing QA testing with the software as well as customer feedback. In one of the internal tools, there was a "folder" that contained all the subpoenas from local law enforcement as well as from the FBI. If the gov't asks for info about a specific user, you hand it to them on silver platter.

Kalender works fine. I expected not seeing sub-tasks but glad to see it. It exceeded my expectations a bit

Vpns are not anonymous. If your government is not censoring the websites you visit, there's no need to use a vpn. It's not gonna make your any more private than you already are. Use tor if you care about privacy

I'm with you on this ... somewhat. I'm tired of everything being political everywhere. I hate how every discussion goes down with politics. One way to "achieve" this would be if you or someone like you made a lemmy instance where nothing political would be allowed and we were to browse that locally. I myself hate both left wing and right wing equally so I'd love a place where I'm free of politics.
The other way is much simpler, which is you browse through communities and find what's political and what's not and subscribe to them and only browse through your subscriptions.
However it's neither possible nor justified to not allow people to get political. 99% of the internet is made of politics and sex

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks man. That was the best explanation
I want a task manager for kde and if it could sync with google tasks or something it'd be swell

I've never had Instagram😂 so kindly explain why I can't just see everything like lemmy? Logically we all can see each other's content here so that should be the case there as well no?
I'd like to login on an instance that doesn't block other instances and I get to decide what and what not I want to see
evirac 1 year ago • 100%
I mean, there does seem to be the case. Look here : https://vlemmy.net/instances But I don't understand how... the structure of lemmy is more like reddit and mastadon more like twitter so I don't understand how they'd interact
I see a lot of people angry about redhat's decisions of not wanting to redistribute source code to others but I think that should be completely within their rights. The way I see it is like I am a developer of let's say a music player. I make my source code public because I want people to see what they're downloading and may be get advice what I can change to make it better. I charge $10 for my app. And then someone else downloads my code, compiles it and redistributes it in his name with few changes. Then why would people want to use my app when they get same app for free? I think then, it's completely within my right to make it closed source in that case as that's what I make money from. Sure, my app is based on a free and open source framework but then there's also such a thing as **consent** They consented their framework to be used for development. I don't consent my app to be redistributed. Why is it an issue?
I'm new to fediverse and lemmy stuff and when I made my account, I didn't know this but I saw a yt video today which showed that the instance I've registered with, can block another instance and I cannot interact with that instance as well. Is that true? That seems like more control over what I see than reddit itself. I don't want to be controlled by someone else's ideologies and opinions. And I hope that's not the case. I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding something but this is important to me
It says right there in the screenshot right? I've made 6 comments. None of them really controversial or political and completely related to post or comment I've replied to and still I was marked as bot. Why??
Gnome has really good looking news readers like newsflash and gfeeds also looks neet. Meanwhile we have akregator which doesn't look all that good. Currently I'm using fluent reader but it doesn't integrate into the theme. I have really high hopes with kirigami and plasma 6 and looking forward to kde news reader!
