I've noticed a few things when blocking users. 1. If i block user A, then any post/thread by that user A is not shown. So lets say a thread has posts by user A and other people respond to him, all the replies to user A are hidden and only other peoples replies in the thread is visible. 2. If user A made link posts, they are all hidden including every reply to his thread. When blocking a domain, i see that communities from that domain still show up in all. I'm confused how to block all communities from a particular domain. Instead of completely hiding the threads, links and replies to banned users, can the blocked user's post/replies/threads be replaced with a spoiler that the user is blocked in preferences?

i think i read something similar on reddit years back. someone was arrested and everything was in japanese and he couldn't read anything. the police and lawyers were asking him to plead guilty or something and he was adamant on a lawyer which he never got. he was in jail for months i think.

yes, can't connect all hdd to laptop so only using 1 drive at one time in an external enclosure. some drives are portable drives, some are internal drives. its a mix of internal and external drives.
I lost 2-3 hdd's due to old age and lost all data on them. Some other 2-3 hdd's make a lot of noise while in operation and probably failing. I use VVV to catalog the stuff and to see which files have 2-3 copies, i need to manually search each file name. It's really tedious. I was wondering if there is another program that does this automatically. I let it scan the hdd's and it makes catalogs of each hdd and tells me which files don't have duplicates when i press a button. I have like 18 hdds ranging from 500GB to 4TB full of data so manually searching is too much work now.

just select only one episode if its a series. after the episode downloads, watch it to see if the quality is good or not. if it's good, you can select the rest of the files to download. you can do this in transmission, qbittorrent or deluge.

Apologies don't help much. The two women should ask for full refund of money spent plus additional $10k each for forced cleaning. Fuck the pilot and the supervisor.
After a supervisor reiterated that they would have to sit in the soiled seats, the two women were “reluctantly” provided blankets, wipes and vomit bags to clean the area themselves, according to Benson.

Why don't the sports federations just make a new trans category? Instead of all these medical tests for years and other complicated things, make a new category. Instead of only one person playing, let 10 other trans people play.

I had a miui phone and they only update their own apps and the phone with ads or unwanted apps. They only gave one Android update after a year and no monthly security updates. Plus their updates break things or make phone slower. They say a lot of things but don't follow through.

Why don't vehicles have some sort of heat shielding on the roof? even a car becomes like an oven if it sits out in the sun for an hour. Any vehicle should at minimum have a good heat protection at the roof so that the vehicle roof doesn't transfer heat below and heat up the interiors.

I'm in a developing country and such things don't happen here. Some months back an upstairs neighbour of mine tried to enter into my house when i was inside. He was trying his key and then rang the doorbell and i opened it and he was very confused. Then he looked at my house and realised he was on the wrong floor, said sorry and went away. These things happen if all the apartments look the same. No one needs to die for such small blunders. What's more disturbing is the amount of people here justifying shooting the kid because he broke a window and was forcing his way inside. They don't realise they wouldn't have to fear other people so much if there were no guns available in the first place. I'm sure I'll get a lot of replies that gangsters don't obey rules and what not but isn't that the same in every other country without guns? Maybe Americans like to kill people a lot. No wonder their entire country runs off war and destruction.

I take it when i have some symptoms of vitamin deficiency like if you're sitting in one place and get up and you feel some weird sensation in the legs or hands. Like hundreds of ants running inside the veins. Or when I forget to drink water and get dehydrated and the body loses vitamins. I usually don't take such meds.

I doubt it will help them mentally if they get emotionally involved with every patient and console everyone. One or two dozen patients a day or more than 50 in a hospital will wreck them completely. I think of them like they are car mechanics. No wonder they can easily cut people during surgery without blinking an eye. That professional is not for the weak minded.

Other ways to keep your account active include:
- Reading or sending an email
- Using Google Drive
- Watching a YouTube video
- Sharing a photo
- Downloading an app
- Using Google Search
- Using Sign in with Google to sign in to a third-party app or service
There are some exceptions to this policy. Examples include: a Google Account with YouTube channels, videos or comments; an account that has a gift card with a monetary balance; or an account that has a published application, for example, one that hosts an app on the Google Play store. Other exceptions to this policy are available here.

but also so that people get trusted components
no, most of the companies here just assemble or put a made in india sticker on stuff and sell it here. no customer service, no warranty service even with items having warranty. they just blame the customer for everything and try to charge us a lot of money to do anything. i wouldn't trust anything made in india. infact if it's made in india - it's rubbish. just e waste being sold to us.
example - there's about a dozen companies selling ssd's and hard drives for around 25% cheaper than the established brands with 3-5 year warranty but those devices don't last long. ssd's fail in months or before a year. same with mechanical hdd's. same with usb pen drives or sdcards. let's say they are similar to overpriced alibaba trash components.

I didn't watch this movie but saw the series (till the latest episodes) about 2 times now. First time was around 5-6 yesrs back after which i stopped watching it because it's pace was too slow. Then during the covid season i picked it up again and had to download more than a hundred episodes so i started watching from the first episode again. 8 episodes a day and it takes around 4 - 5 months to get to the latest episode.
One funny thing i noticed is Luffy is so simple minded his attacks are the same with different names. No tricks. No extra tools. Everyone in his team has something new and he's just the same.

My magazine [@GooglePlayDeals](https://kbin.social/m/GooglePlayDeals) has no subscribers except me. Most probably because it's new and was just created a few days back and I don't know how to advertise it on kbin. On the other site, there were subs we could link to to get subscribers. I've seen some people who have their magazine name next to their username. How do they do that? Probably saw it on lemmy world i think.

Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon. I am using powertop to view what is using my laptop battery the most and it seems the bluetooth adaptop is using around 5W. I turned BT off in settings and also in /etc/bluetooth i changed the config file main.conf to not autostart bluetooth. Even after doing this and a couple restarts, powertop still shows BT using 3-5W power. > > > pasocon@pasocon:\~$ sudo systemctl status bluetooth > [sudo] password for pasocon: > ● bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service > Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) > Active: active (running) since Fri 2023-07-28 13:09:10 IST; 1h 0min ago > Docs: man:bluetoothd(8) > Main PID: 792 (bluetoothd) > Status: "Running" > Tasks: 1 (limit: 18691) > Memory: 1.9M > CPU: 26ms > CGroup: /system.slice/bluetooth.service > └─792 /usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd > > > > > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSink/ap\> > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSource/\> > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSink/sbc > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSource/\> > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSink/sb\> > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSource/\> > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSink/sb\> > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSource/\> > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSink/sb\> > Jul 28 13:09:13 pasocon bluetoothd[792]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.33 path=/MediaEndpoint/A2DPSource/\> > > > > > pasocon@pasocon:~~$ rfkill list > 0: phy0: Wireless LAN > Soft blocked: no > Hard blocked: no > 1: hci0: Bluetooth > Soft blocked: no > Hard blocked: no > pasocon@pasocon:~~$ bluetoothctl \<\<\< show | grep Powered > Powered: no > pasocon@pasocon:\~$ > > I searched the bios but didnt find any option to disable the bluetooth device.
