It's extra funny considering the pace in Hot Fuzz is super snappy. And Hot Fuzz is definitely their masterpiece.

Oh no way - awesome and thank you.
Edit: still won't work for me. Are we sure it's not a user error on my end or is this really the right way to fetch a remote instance?

Or it's because Western countries directly prop up and support Israel, which we do not do for China or Russia.
And therefore Western citizenry feel more culpable and outraged about something their countries support.

I lost access to my original copy because I completely missed the Microsoft shenanigans of account transfering due to not playing for 10+ years.
Kind of feel cheated as I recently got the itch to play again and was unable.
Any recommendation of the best way to play Minecraft now? I'm not particularly keen on rebuying it :/

Costco toilet rolls are the superior product, my friends. Trouble is you get something like 48 rolls in a wholesale packet - so you need somewhere to stash them.

Me and my wife... Got really bored. The gameplay loop is supppperr trivial, and even though they add in stuff every now and again, eh...
I dunno, it's okay - but I just don't get the hype. I wanted to pitch in because if someone is considering buying it I'd really recommend checking a Let's Play of it before trying it.
It felt like a game specifically designed for a gamer to introduce gaming to their never-gamed-before partner. If you're both experienced gamers like we are, I wonder whether you'd give up on it too.

Corbyn was absolutely shit smeared by the press; if you get people to look at Corbyn's Labour policies in isolation, I reckon you'd be hard pressed to find someone that disliked them.
I wonder why privately held media would do this...

Was disappointing to see so much pussyfooting and backpedalling on stuff like this from Labour over the past 18 months.
I'll be over the damned moon if they put some strong climate positive policies in the manifesto.
Is it too much to hope for electoral reform too?

I feel like you took my comment to be a critique of the EU's position, which is not what I was trying to say at all.
I presume that such an agreement would be in the EUs interest - hence the expression of such. Public clarification at this stage of the 'cost'- as you put it - is a great way to take it off the official policy booklet. Which doesn't make sense to me.
I am aware that UK politics is stupid. I live here.

If the move would be of interest to the EU, then unless they are completely politically inept, can these officials not see how saying it would require ECJ oversight before an election risks it being eliminated from Labour policy?
It gives a free attack point for the Tories and couldn't be a bigger face palm - for anyone actually interested in it, of course.

I swear to god, more and more I keep having 'clean' versions play on Spotify, YouTube Music, Deezer - despite the song being marked as 'Explicit'. And no, I definitely do not have the setting checked for only playing clean versions. It's not just me - is it?
Mine is plain/lightly salted Doritos/tortilla chips dipped/scraped in unsalted butter. I'm now wondering whether this is a little too specific of a question and I just really needed somewhere to get this off my chest...
Today's loaf. ~350g water ~45g starter (I didn't feed it enough Thursday lol) ~350g Strong Multigrain (Matthews Cotswold) Flour ~100g Very Strong White (Allinson's) Flour ~50g Very Strong Wholemeal (Allinson's) Flour ~10g salt -added in that order and mixed all at once. I don't autolyse without starter cause I can't be arsed with the extra steps and the few times I've done it I didn't find any difference. This was the first time I used the multigrain flour (normally I'd use all white, recently with the 50g wholemeal) - dough was much wetter/stickier than usual, so I didn't get as many stretch and folds in as I normally do. Mixed approx. 9pm, as many stretch and folds as I could get in considering tackiness of dough before midnight. Preshaped, rested for about 30 minutes, shaped and baked straight away at 240°C fan oven in a Dutch oven (steel pot with lid) for 30 minutes, uncovered at 220°C for 20 minutes. I've found pre-shaping makes a humongous difference to the shape of the boule - normally my loves would sink out to the sides a bit.

My takeaway is that it's only original Rogue fans that care about the delineation of the terms. Is there a modern (i.e. post 2000s game) that matches the definition of a roguelike as given in the article?
I am just a little bit excited. I love this game.
Needed some positivity in life, so just upped and decided to rewild our front garden. My wife and I have talked about making the front garden a wildflower meadow (which will be step 3 or 4), but my wife likes frogs so I thought I'd gamble on the chance that a little pond might attract some - as well as being a boon for wildlife in general. We used the kids' old paddling pool, as you can see, and I'm following guidance found on various websites (e.g. rewildingbritain.org.uk, RSPB, etcetera). Step 2 will be buying some native pond plants once we've got some rainwater in. Once we've got the meadow going, I'm planning on seeing if I can recruit any neighbours. (First target is next door who has never once used their garden and only goes out to strim it down. I'm hoping I can tempt them with an offer of turning it into a meadow for free, seeing as they paid for our shared fence.)
Hey dads. How's your day/week/existence going? My wife, spontaneously (actually to procrastinate), decided to start sorting through our thousands of saved but unsorted phone pictures of the kids etcetera. Kinda magical to revisit some forgotten moments through the years. Will make it a hell of a lot easier when I finally get round to picking a handful to send to my own parents. (Specifically curated so that when my mum ends up 'accidentally' putting another one on Facebook I don't have to go too nuclear. Just regular firebombing.)

What a fucking disappointment. I've not watched the final episode and I'm not going to, as apparently Netflix only understands something sucks if people don't finish watching it. Season 1 was fantastic. Season 2 was... tolerable. The writing for Season 3? I've never been so bored, disengaged, or had suspense so masterfully deflated.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've tried a couple of times now, and the 'Create' button on https://feddit.uk/create_community seemingly does nothing.
I just switched over to feddit.uk to reduce the strain on lemmy.world. Either I've forgotten or am doing something wrong, because I can't seem to subscribe in what I thought was the right way. [Here's](https://i.imgur.com/DoavQ0B.jpg) what I see. I navigated to the community via the technique in the pop up - but it still won't let me subscribe?
