What a joke.

Thanks! Berlin was deserted, and the sign at Ione said Population: 3, and while I didn't see anyone there, I did see a potted flower on a window sill that was clearly being watered.
Berlin and Ione just next to it are two abandoned towns from the gold rush era. I went on this solo road trip about 4 years ago. I got so lucky with the clouds that day. They're ridiculously picturesque.

I learned about catbox.moe recently. It's pretty great. Simple interface, uploads up to 200mb, files are kept forever, and when you upload a picture, it gives you the actual direct link to the image; not like every other image hoster that gives you a link to the "image page", then you have to right click on the image and copy the link address to actually get the direct link.
Only thing that sucks is it doesn't strip exif data from the pictures uploaded, but not a huge deal since I just use it for memes and random pics anyway.

For anyone who likes diet soda, check out Zevia. It's sweetened with Stevia instead of aspartame. Doesn't taste too bad either. Makes a great vodka mixer since it's 0 calories.

Plus, if the internet goes down for whatever reason? External HDD > Laptop > HDMI > TV. Boom. Offline Netflix.
It's also nice for traveling and staying in hotels. Most hotel TVs have at least one accessible HDMI port, and that's all you need.

Guess they're gonna have to pull extra hard on those bootstraps now. But hey, at least they don't have a damn dirty librul governor.

This is great to see.
My biggest complaint about Democrats has always been their lack of balls, and weird cultish insistence that they always take the "high road" and try to work with Republicans in good faith.

This is the "big chart" of all the drugs that Erowid has info for.
A great resource for drug information including common dosages, pictures, trip reports, etc. presented factually with no anti-drug bias.

Didn't everyone want to defederate entirely from Threads? That would have kept out more people than calling them "normies" would, I imagine.
I personally don't care either way though; on one hand, I like Lemmy as it is now so don't care if there's a huge influx of Threads users... but on the other hand, while with more users you're definitely going to get more garbage, it also brings in a few more diamonds.
I come from IRC and message boards during the dial up days, so I'm adaptable.

I got a Galaxy S20 Ultra refurbished off ebay for $300. It was a flagship phone and was $1,400 when released. It has an SD card slot that allows up to 1TB I think, a 5000mAH battery, and a 108 MP main camera. And it has 12 gb of ram.
Whatever you decide, definitely consider refurbished options.

I usually go with postimg or pasteboard, but it takes a couple extra clicks to get the direct image link.
This is the first I've heard of catbox, and they give you the direct link as the only link. Catbox is my new favorite.
And catbox has no "make public or private?" or "is this nsfw?" bullshit. It's just a straight up, simple as can be, image hoster. I can't express how much I'm loving catbox already.

"The team’s goal is to keep Ingenuity ahead of Perseverance, which occasionally involves temporarily pushing beyond communication limits," Anderson added. "We're excited to be back in communications range with Ingenuity and receive confirmation of Flight 52."
All communications to and from Ingenuity must be routed through Perseverance. That explains the recent silent spell, which the two mission teams had expected: The rover had disappeared behind a hill from the helicopter's perspective, and it didn't come back into view until June 28.

I currently have 32 tabs open in Edge, albeit most of them have been suspended.
I also have FFXIV running at 40-60 fps. I could start encoding a video right now, and Edge would slow down minimally, if at all.
But for some reason, Firefox has always been slower for me. Basically everyone's experience with slow Chrome is my experience with slow Firefox. I truly don't understand why.
