I like those XLERATOR dryers because when you stick your frank and beans in them they make your balls flutter fast enough to play a tune reminiscent of a kazoo.

I used to see threads like this on reddit where people would defend the act by claiming it keeps people employed. Anyone who has worked in retail knows otherwise, but it doesn't stop these neanderthals from existing and making their bullshit toxic arguments.

The technology for this has existed for 20+ years and is actually fairly common. It's often referred to as dynamic range compression. I think the chief complaint here is that it needs to be more accessible. Pre-applying it would mess up too many use cases.

Yeah no kidding, this guy uses decibel scale but doesn't understand decibel scale. I fucking hate leaf blowers but 55dB seems like a reasonable starting point to me. It won't even barely reach your yard from a neighbor's.

Great idea. Many Mac Mini users are entry level users and it's quite lovely that their existing peripherals may not work if they upgrade. Let's keep the Form over Function bandwagon in high gear.

I think this is where the experts hang out but isn't it true that maintainers let these tires basically shred themselves to death before they change them out? Seems like this could just be a preventative maintenance problem and someone at the airline being irresponsible in approving required replacement.

I'm really excited about how great KDE has become in recent years. It was getting scary back when KDE4 had lots of problems and gnome3 was devoid of all functionality. Nowadays KDE makes the Linux desktop truly a pleasure to use.

As a homeowner it's often difficult to find someone who will do good work and not rip me off. I usually just end up figuring out how to do a lot of work myself, but I'm busy so projects get delayed. It's encouraging to read a story like this. I hope someday I can find someone like yourself to build a relationship with to get more updates done around the house.

I installed one of these new displays this past weekend and it looks fantastic in Linux. Granted I've only tried Plasma so far on Wayland but that's because I really don't find Gnome usable. It looks good at 200% though and a similar scale to 150% on the old display.

Vista was absolutely the slowest thing imaginable. They reduced the requirements as part of a marketing campaign for "Vista-ready" PCs, but PCs that ran it "well" were few and far between. Even after 7 came out if you went back to Vista it was noticeably slower.

It absolutely amazes me that people give him a free pass for this shit. Same with his remarks at Belleau Wood.
“Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.
