Hey now, we don't want an actual democracy now do we? Think of the corporations. With all these broken up powers it's going to get really expensive to bribe them all to subvert the will of the people.

Trolls will be trolls. There are millions of foss projects that function as community efforts and thrive. As another example, have you ever used Wikipedia?

Maybe if OpenAI didn't suddenly decide not to be open when they got in bed with Micro$oft, they could just make it a community effort. I own a copyrighted work that the AI hasn't been feed yet, so I loan it as training and you do the same. They could have made it an open initiative. Missed opportunity from a greedy company. Push the boundaries of technology, and we can all reap the rewards.

Wasn't really all that long ago when non-black people very commonly used that word in public and probably still so in certain communities. Having said that, obese is a medical term and I don't think it compares in anyway to the n-word.

There is no electric vehicle mandate. Trump just made that up.

I think 'complacent' is a better term than 'docile.' The upper class has put significant time and effort into making everyone else believe that their actions won't make any meaningful difference, and it's worked just as planned.

I can't comprehend why there aren't people marching in the streets demanding a constitutional amendment to limit the executive branch and restore checks and balances. The recent Supreme Court decision granting absolute presidential immunity is a direct threat to our democracy. We all need to be more proactive. Government moves so slow if not pushed.

I don't know if this makes it more or less scary but the idea of Perry being able to just pardon anyone isn't actually factual. A Texas governor can refer a pardon, but a board still has to approve it.

Edit: I installed antennapod and it's exactly what I was looking for. Very light weight and even open source. Thank you for all the suggestions.

It happens quite often. I'm a paramedic and have responded to scenes numerous times where the patient was only hit in the face once and died. I actually remember, years ago, it happened two shifts in a row in the same parking lot. There was a bar there that commonly had fights outside after it closed. Both times, people told me the person was punched in the face only one time. One of the two he was laying in the grass, so it wasn't even like he bashed his head on the pavement after.

While it might not be the most popular opinion, I personally appreciated Leto's interpretation of the Joker. He's no Heath Ledger, of course, but considering how often the character has been brought to life, I thought Leto's performance was at least unique.

I'm more wondering why someone would spend that much on a damn bike. I bought my car for 15k of course that was in 2010 but I'm still driving it to this day. Toyota Corolla before anyone asks.
Edit: I just realized this was posted under fuck cars and now I feel like a dick comparing it to the price of my car. It wasn't intentional but still holy shit that's still a stupid amount of money to spend on a bike. Like how can you even justify that price? It has to be a completely insane amount of markup.

I'm sure you're right. Just wondering what these proceeding end up costing the tax payers. Whatever the cost I'm sure it's a drop in the bucket considering what it would cost our country if Trump somehow managed to win the 2024 election.

This seems like a total waste of time since Trump didn't win Colorado in either election and has very little chance in the state next year or am I looking at this all wrong? I guess if it passes in Colorado it paves the road for other states like Michigan and Arizona where it really will matter.
Otkaz 11 months ago • 100%
I'm more interested in Michigan and Arizona since Trump didn't win Colorado in either election it hardly matters if he's on their ballot or not.
I'm trying to get a script built. I want to check if a variable exist and include it if it does. Just really struggling to figure out the formatting. Something like ``` script: sequence: target: entity_id: "{{ entity }}" {% if variable is defined %} data: "{{ variable }}" {% endif %} ```
