I do have a construction planner tab open in my steam overlay.

The fact that steam now remembers the tabs you had on a game-by-game basis makes it extra useful. You can close the game, and it wont appear in other games, but start up Satisfactory, and all your plans are right there.

Doesn't it do both? Quick switch toggles through all the items in a category, so it should go tier one single wall, tier one double wall, then tier two single wall, and tier two double wall.

Yeah, those would makes sense being together with power-poles, but they aren't.

I tend to stick to just keep cables on the hotbar, pointing at walls, ceilings, or floors, will build a wall connector or pole, respectively.

Do wish there was a key to make it build a double wall connector.

Tapping "E" will toggle between all the types of a constructable. On belts, for example, you toggle through the tiers.

So you can have just tier one belts on the hotbar, and to select tier two, three, etc. you'd just tap E the corresponding number of times after selecting "belt". You can to get to a shitload of constructables really fast with just one hotbar.

This one is huge for programmable splitters, and pretty good on smart splitters, too.

For real. I've seen kids years younger than when I started pedaling scurrying around on these, and it instantly clicked why it's a much better way to learn to stay upright on two wheels.

I wish my first bike had been something like that. Training wheels stop a bike from leaning into turns, so they don't teach you anything about what it is like to ride without them.

Yes and no.

Pending means the sub hasn't gone through to the home instance of the community. If you're the first subscriber, this means the there will be no inbound federation bringing the content from that community to your instance.

If someone else on your instance has already successfully subbed, the federating is already occurring, and your instance will be receiving the activity as it comes in.

Your instance will then show it to you, both in your subscriptions and in general, even though the sub is pending.

If your sub stays pending, you may have to unsub and resub to get it to work. If no-one else on your instance has subbed either, then the activity will continue to not show up for as long as it is pending.

I don't mind PDA most of the time. It's cute when two people are completely lost in each other. I appreciate it when people bother being discreet, but even when they don't, it's usually not that invasive when people express themselves just between the two of them.

But then there's the attention removed, playing it up for the crowds.

I think those are extremely exaggerated lower eyelids. They rise a bit when a person smiles, so they're like that to make her smile look extra deranged.

2048 is so good. I love the teams each having three craft types. The tracks are really fun, with both wide sections where you can go flat out without a care, and narrow parts where you have to really thread the needle and use the airbrakes with total precision.

BalisticNG is my latest main game, but my love began with the WipEout series.

I also enjoy Redout and Redout 2, but the lack of weapons means I can only go so long before needing to play WipEout or BNG again.

I had that on my first unit, RMAd it and hasn't happened again on the new one. I assumed it was some kind of faulty hardware component. Like the RAM or GPU.

It's a Tiagra 4700 (works really fucking well, actually) which is 10-speed, but it for some ass-backwards reason uses 11-speed cable pull (but with the actuation for a 10-speed cassette), which isn't disclosed anywhere.

So it'll work as-is with any 11-speed shifter, as long as you make sure the mech stops are set so you can't shift off the cassette.

Here in Helsinki I've been seeing some local restaurants converting the parking spots up front into patio space for the summer.

Once it was clear they could choose between two parked cars, or four more tables for customers, a lot seem to be picking the latter.

There are a lot of kinks around VR on linux. Wayland has been better in my experience, but I still can't believe SteamVR on linux just doesn't have power management for the base stations implemented. Like, it works, there's a fucking python script that can do it! But not via SteamVR.

I use an app on my phone to turn my base stations on and off.

Just as an example, I have a bike with shifters that attach to the brake levers. Neat, minimalist.

Except the brakes and brake levers are kinda shit, so I'd like to replace them. Except then I'd need a new shifter. Ok fine.

But wait, the derailleur uses an unusual cable-pull-interval that shimano used on literally just this one derailleur-shifter combo, so now I need a new derailleur that'll work with the new shifter.

It's fucking infuriating.

It's probably not worth the effort. It's one of the more complex mods, and the screen with additional resolution comes with a bunch of drawbacks, and the anti-glare coating isn't that big a deal.
