I use Bash and I'm open to people explaining why a different shell would make a difference for me, unless it's a matter of preference? For instance I'm not a huge Arch zealot, but by now I know all the pacman commands and I don't see the point of switching.
This is ultimately not very productive, but I've had free time lately for obvious worldly reasons. I feel as if I'm missing something obvious, but is there any way to completely remove a package and its directories through pacman without running rm -rf /path/to/directory] manually after pacman -Rs package_name and hoping you get everything? Otherwise, my best solution so far has been to run tree with options where I can browse through my directories and check file-by-file. I've unintentionally developed a neurosis where I want my system as clean as possible since I've put enough time into it. Which may be dumb, but yeah.

I installed Linux Mint on a refurbished ThinkPad x220 because I was broke as shit and had to sell my gaming computer to pay rent. Eventually life got better, never replaced the ThinkPad, traveled with it, distro-hopped a bit — and I've gained a love for decentralized and open-source software. Becoming more comfortable with the command line has led to plans for a career change as well.
This is a community meant to discuss Korea and Korean culture for both native Koreans and expats. Note: I began this community because I'm an expat who lives in Korea, but I would be open to passing ownership to someone who's native Korean or is more integrated than me into Korean culture.
