I'm a buyer for a wholesaler and import a lot of food. I'm having to discontinue most of my imported dairy products now as this additional charge makes it no longer worth it.

It was announced in Jan that she had surgery and was in hospital for a couple of weeks, and all of her public engagements were cancelled after that. She's likely just recovering but the Royal's silence on it is generating a lot of conspiracy theory fuel.

It has been photoshopped more than these agencies allow, and the reason people are interested is because there is a lot of speculation right now about where Kate Middleton actually is.

We're talking about why people like working with people face-to-face, so how is that not important? 😆 It's pretty much the only factor that matters to me in terms of wanting to work in the physical office or not.

Yeah we all are mate, neither of us have much choice in that 😆 Doesn't mean it doesn't attract wonderful people.

Obviously I do, some of them are close friends now. But being around 100 people I really like for 27 hours a week is really good for me. During the pandemic I only went into the physical office once a week and it made me realise how much I appreciate that kind of socialisation.

You shouldn't have pain just from sitting. Doing yoga or pilates or other strength exercises can stop this from happening.

Depends on where you work. My colleagues are brilliant, I've made lifelong friends at my work place but then it's quite a radical work environment so attracts interesting people. I'd be gutted if I couldn't see them every week.

Definitely do both if you need to, but don't under estimate exercise. I went from 10.5st to 9.5st just doing couch to 5km and then continuing to run 5km 3 times a week, no other dietary changes.

Running for half an hour burns about 400 calories. 1 hour of running, 800. 3 runs a week can burn a day's worth of calories. Don't understate the impact exercise has.

It does sound like an obsessive trait but if it's not causing you any problems and it makes you happy, then why not?
Although, a tip for you or anyone else reading this - letting your hair completely dry naturally without towel-drying it can make the texture so much nicer. I stopped towel-drying mine completely and now it dries with lovely, soft waves, no frizz at all.

Yeah I'm guessing the fancy seats at a big stadium are swaying this? It's rare for me to pay over a tenner to be honest though up to £35 is the norm I'd say. But then I'm not watching Taylor Swift in a stadium.

You're talking about a climate that changed over thousands of years and methods that were implemented thousands of years ago.
Our climate is changing over the course of decades and my current government is announcing things like this: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/oct/28/rishi-sunak-to-double-down-on-anti-green-policies-in-kings-speech

I don't think it's difficult to understand that people feel moved by atrocities that are closer to them. The UK directly helped create present day Israel and the colonisation of Palestinian land. Our current government also supports Israel in their attack on Gaza, meaning our taxes are being used to fund weapons and aid the genocide that's happening right now. Of course people are protesting here.
Does it mean people don't care about Tigray? Or course not, but we have less direct influence over what's happening there.

Agreed on period variation. I remember my teacher telling everyone women didn't lose more than a teaspoon of blood over the course of a period and I was so confused because I could be sitting over the toilet and losing a teaspoon's worth in 2 minutes. But no, apparently I was misjudging the amount.
I felt vindicated when I later bought a mooncup and it would fill up in an hour 😆

Gaza is only 25 miles long. The furthest away I could get from my neighbours right now would be the next town over, where 1 million people already live and there is limited food and water. Have some compassion ffs.
And bombing civilians is a war crime, so no, it doesn't happen in a war zone.

What is the purpose of saying "Hamas should have thought about that"? It's apportioning blame to the victims, who are children.
Like, when you can hear something in your mind? Is there a word for this?

It's hard to trawl through the app store. Are there any apps or games you'd recommend?
My parents have always been left-wing hippies and entertained the odd conspiracy theory, but during the pandemic they got lost down YouTube rabbit holes and bought into Q-Anon and anti-vax ideas. They still don't believe Covid is real (even though they blatantly had it...). We've just kind of agreed not to talk about it anymore, but they've steadily become more and more batshit and I think they believe I have been brainwashed. Anyone else's familial relationships changed forever?
Edit: ok your comments just made me buy a cheap android TV box, thanks guyz x
