The moment was a reminder that Harris is uniquely positioned to talk about the hot-button, national topic in a way that Biden, an 81-year-old Catholic who had long opposed abortion, never felt comfortable doing.
I would have voted for his administration regardless, had he stayed in the race, but I have detested Biden since the 90s (maybe 80s, I dunno time is getting weird). He became ever so slightly better liked thanks to Obama, but he was never liked.

This article just came up regarding cervical cancer and HPV. Same age group as this anal cancer discussion. Cases plumet for young women because of the HPV vaccine but not 30's and 40's because the vaccines were approved in 2006.

Serious question: Could it be HPV transmission through anal sex?

For him though.... That's like a quarter.
Today, yes, but back then he was just another dot com millionaire. Remember, that footage was before PayPal, so he probably had about 300M, tops. A million was still only a fraction of his wealth, but it was still a noticeable fraction.

No. I interacted with him on two occasions during the PayPal days. They were pitching PayPal as a payment mechanism for a bunch of our verticals. Even back then he was weird, awkward, and cringe. I think there is video of him back then taking possession of a McLaren and you can see how cringe he was.
EDIT: Found it.. On rewatch, it doesn't really show how insufferable he was in person. It's funny to see how x.com gets recycled though.

I guess I had an easier time with Brazilian Portuguese because I spent a decade in coastal Puerto Rico and they high speed mumble with tons of slang and a serious dislike of consonants (See Tego Calderón).

If you're fluent in Spanish, then you can get by with Portuguese and read Italian. Nobody can understand what the fuck Italians are saying unless they repeat it at 0.25x speed.

I would avoid Ubuntu and Fedora because of their corporate shenanigans. I've had a very painless experience with Pop!_OS as my daily driver and there's a version that comes with Nvidia support already baked in. Otherwise, I would recommend Mint D which is the version that ditched Ubuntu for pure Debían (what Ubuntu is a fork of).

I have one Windows machine in a Linux household, and it's also the only machine who's having problems. It has taken upon itself to stop networking. This is a problem on Wi-Fi and wired. Rebooting the machine, turning off the firewall, or disabling and re-enabling the adapters sometimes helps, but not always. What else should I look for?

I second Thinkpad T series. They are one of the workhorses of the corporate world, so they are often very well supported by the Linux community. Thinkpads overall should all be fully supported now since Lenovo has made a public commitment to make all of their Thinkpads Linux compatible. My daily driver for years now has been a Thinkpad X1 Extreme on Pop!_OS 20.04. I need to upgrade to 22.04 but the system is so rock solid that I just don't see the point.
CONTEXT: I have been on Linux since RedHat's Halloween release. I can tinker but at my age I just prefer thing to just work. Also, I am one of the first CISSPs, ever, and I have been working on information security since 1999 with Y2K prep. Kali is fine, but once you figure out your toolkit, you will want to pick your favorite distro and customize it to your taste.

I have a growing number of orphaned icons in "show applications" and also, somehow, my Steam launch icon is on my desktop. I would like to remove the orphaned icons from "show applications" and move Steam from my Desktop to "show applications" but I have no idea where to edit this.
