Someone who occasionally makes me feel special. It'd be nice to feel special all the time, but I think that's unrealistic. It'd be nice if I could feel special or important on a semi regular basis. Not just useful, like a wrench is useful, but treasured.
The older I get, the more I understand the "lone old man and his dog" stereotype. The dog thinks you're great and everyone else just sees you like a machine that is disposable when they're done with you.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's requiem. It's an older game, GameCube era. I don't like horror games and this one isn't true horror. There are some good jump scares and body horror though. I had to stop after a certain scene because of the jump scares. The sanity system is really great.

Kung Fury. It's a short film, so maybe that's cheating. Regardless, I love the writing. It's the perfect blend of absurdity and over the top action. It's a Swedish made film that's a satire of 80's cop and Kung fu movies. Free to watch on YouTube.

Biomass isn't that bad now that it has conveyors. It's still annoying but not painful.
Leaves & wood -> biomass -> solid fuel -> generators. All automated. I put the leaves in the top bin, the wood in the bottom (like a tree!) and the constructors do the rest.
It looks like they're making a reply thread with the changes. alt link: https://xcancel.com/helldivers2/status/1833853134755496240

Opt out of betas, restart steam! 11GB download, lol.

Don't set yourself on fire to keep others warm. If you want to help, ok, but be realistic about it. Also, you can't help anyone who doesn't want it. Also-Also, it's nearly impossible to help someone who has a different reality than you do, which you've described him having.

Early access and beta and alpha terms for games. Also, early access has a time limit.
Alpha - we're adding and removing features.
Beta - we're 90% polishing 10% adding/removing.
Early access - just fixing bugs. Maximum 3 to 6 months.
You can stay in alpha and beta as long as you want. I don't want to change game dev actuality. I just want the terms to reflect what's actually going on.

Ah, social anxiety. Yep. My first recognition into info dumping and realizing people didn't care was in my late 20s. I really find copyright law and technology fascinating. I loved tech dirt blog at the time. I started noticing that people's eyes would glaze over and the conversation would die. (I'm sure I did this before but never noticed.)
Nowaday, I drop a nugget or fact and let them ask me if they want to know more. It's a skill.

And their products are smaller. There are Dollar General sized versions. So you end up with less product per dollar spent.

So I saw this post, https://lemm.ee/post/41581714?scrollToComments=true where they state that Korn made a dubstep album. Yeah, it's real. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Path_of_Totality > The album features production by Skrillex, Datsik, Feed Me, Excision, 12th Planet, Downlink, Kill the Noise, and Noisia. Monti, and Datsik contributed to the mixing process. Uh, that's a good pedigree for a dubstep album. > Rock Sound gave the album an 8/10 rating > Sputnikmusic strongly criticized the album giving it a score of 0.5/5 Very mixed reception

I’ve also been through at least several primary care physicians because the ones I have seen are so short and don’t really take time to get to know you at all. They just pop in, ask you a handful of questions and leave, if your test results come back with anything abnormal, they say it’s nothing to worry about, they don’t want to take any extra time to help look into anything or diagnose you… like wtf?
Because we're not people to them. They're incentivized to treat us like cars. Repair as fast and as many as you can to get the most money.

Did you follow some guide when replacing the nozzle and bowden tube?
No, it's pretty intuitive so I just did it.
Did you hot tighten it when putting them back?
Yep.
What speed are you printing at, which you think is too slow? What’s your acceleration?
I was printing a speed test, the inbuilt one from Orca Slicer. Starts with a huge, slow brim, then low speed 10 layers, then slightly faster 10 layers, repeat until it fails.

You say you think you’re having heatcreep issues, what exactly are the issues you’re having?
there's a swelling of the filament, about 1" tall, above the hot end.
Related - I've replaced the PTFE tube with a higher quality one and I've replaced the nozzle (it was indeed clogged).

At some point, it will slow down, and then stop
All of the current scientific evidence disagrees with this. 1) There is a velocity such that you can go faster than gravity will be able to slow you down: escape velocity. So, it's possible even without any new, weird physics. 2) The hubble constant shows that the universe isn't slowing down, but the opposite: it's accelerating. Physics doesn't know why (see Dark Energy). It's physically measurable that things farther away are accelerating even faster scaling with distance.

I have the opposite question: Why are childfree people so triggered by children?
Context: I don't care if you do or don't have children, in general. I care how you and yours are behaved. Have kids and they're well behaved? Fine. Have kids and they're crazy? Not fine. Don't have kids and you're nice? Fine. Don't have kids and you're a shit head about them? Not fine.

I kinda feel this way about streaming music. Something has been lost with all the convenience gained. I like streaming. I've heard more electronica and techno and chiptunes that I'd never heard before streaming. I like weird stuff and I get a LOT of it for essentially no cost... But I miss collecting things. Collecting albums and such was more expensive and I got fewer but I miss album art and having a collection of said art.

Copying this from reddit. I am not OP. Hello All! I understand why anime takes place in high school a lot, because its intended audience is high schoolers. What is it with maids? And specifically the "French maid" type? Here in the US, maids are not like that at all. It's usually a Mexican lady in a minivan who comes by once a month or something. Additionally, they're not super common. In anime, they usually seem to be a cross between live in maid and nanny. That wouldn't be too weird if it weren't so popular a trope. Is that common in Japan? I'm not the biggest consumer of Japanese media, but I can't recall IRL maids besides the maid cafes.
Do a chore? Take a rest. Do a hobby? Fake a rest. Exercise? Long rest. Break up an argument between my kids? Rest. Everything is rest. I feel like half my life is waiting for my mental energy to come back. Not physical. I can do the task, but convincing the rest of my body to do the thing takes rest. I just wanna go, do, finish, whatever.
