Cupra aren't just EV's, they are Seat, they just changed the name in 2018, and all Seat have been since 1986 is a mish mash of the VAG parts bin.

I'm not quite sure what your point is given the large proportion of road fatalities in this country are on rural roads not road junctions, removing the 5'ish red light cameras on the whole of the island would make very little difference.

Depends on where you live, the two European countries that I've lived and worked in my employers would allow additional leave for funerals of aunts, uncles, cousins and some even allowed for the death of a pet.

I've watched 4 episodes, it sticks nicely to the theme and format of the original 4 panel cartoon. Me and my teen are thoroughly enjoying it, my wife on the other hand spends most of the episodes just looking confused.

We'll get info on changes on radio stations and streaming service ads here in Ireland, also updates to any changes on the annual roadworthiness test, I'll let you look up "Irish road safety advert" on YouTube, they're quite graphic.

You'll probably die while being t-boned by someone else sharing the same view as you, it's strange that your country's road safety record is far worse than any country that has been using roundabouts for decades.

I try to do as much as possible myself, saves a fortune, it's really only anything on the cars that requires a lift that I farm out, but plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding and fabricating etc I'll do myself, usually as it's a good excuse to hide in the workshop away from being found other things to do.
The NAS is an ancient Qnap TS-209 Pro II a friend gave me after the psu and cooling fan died, this is the first time it's failed again in about 10 years, it's only used for backing up photos and stuff from a car owners club I run, so nothing fancy.

I'm hoping to have a day off from having to fix broken things, so far this week
Monday and Tuesday - taking all the guttering, soffit trims and soffits down on the front of the house because a small furry thing nibbled the wires to the outside lights.
Wednesday - replacing a dead capacitor in the lawnmower.
Thursday - replacing the dead cooling fan in my NAS.
Friday - fitting two new glow plugs in one of the cars (I'll be glad when it's replaced with an EV).
Yesterday - stripping down the dishwasher and cleaning load of gunk out of it that was stopping water going in.

Yeah, the cost of domestic batteries are mad, hence the cannibalised leaf route, I can pick up a 24kwh battery car with around 15kwh left for €5k, then I'll just use the motor and rest of the gubbins to convert one of my classic ICE cars.

They're quite expensive when you compare them to a normal inverter, they can't be that different inside the box.
I'm going the ultra cheap 2nd hand Leaf route for my solar storage using the canbus hack to make the inverter think it's a BYD domestic battery.
The Government diverted £136m away from its electric vehicle (EV) supply chain fund to the UK’s main nuclear reactor project Sizewell C, i can reveal. The Automotive Transformation Fund, a Government initiative designed to make it easier for car manufacturers to build and develop electric vehicles in the UK, spent just 5 per cent of its initially allocated funding in the year to March 2023, according to Government documents seen by i. Given an initial budget of £191m, just £7m was spent and 76 per cent of the funding arrangement was transferred to the Sizewell C project, the construction of the UK’s first new nuclear power station in more than 30 years.

Having moved to London in 1987, the single was the band's first release upon returning to New Zealand and changing their name from the Dance Exponents to the Exponents. The song was written by Jordan Luck in London in 1989, with the group returning to New Zealand in November 1990 and signing to PolyGram Records New Zealand.
"(We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang" is a song by British synth-pop band Heaven 17. It was their debut single, released on 6 March 1981, and the lead single from their debut studio album, Penthouse and Pavement (1981). It was a minor hit in the UK in 1981, despite being banned by the BBC. It was also a minor dance hit in the US. It developed from an instrumental, "Groove Thang", that Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh created earlier that year for Music for Stowaways, an album they released as British Electric Foundation.

Supply issues and rising prices could slow down Irish drivers’ switch to electric cars despite increased demand for such vehicles, according to a new report. Done Deal, an Irish online marketplace, says consumer demand for new electric vehicles (EVs) has increased by 35 per cent this year despite a rise in cost. According to the report, as of May 17th the average cost of a new EV in 2023 has risen to €64,775, an increase of 13 per cent on the figure from the same period last year.
Encouraging behaviour change to boost Electric Vehicle adoption in Ireland is a complex issue that requires a multi-faceted approach, writes Ricky Hill of Monta

For those of you that have never heard of him [Peel was one of the first broadcasters to play psychedelic rock and progressive rock records on British radio. He is widely acknowledged for promoting artists of multiple genres, including pop, dub reggae, punk rock and post-punk, electronic music and dance music, indie rock, extreme metal and British hip hop. Fellow DJ Paul Gambaccini described Peel as "the most important single person in popular music from approximately 1967 through 1978. He broke more important artists than any individual."](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Peel) [Website based archive ](http://vibracobra23.blogspot.com/) [Youtube channel ](https://youtube.com/@Vibracobra23_Original) Enjoy!
