I like to do the opposite in fighting games, making sure to try and make an underused fighter shine. Also, take care and get well!

My favorite tie knot is the Pratt-Shelby. The only thing not to like about it is the fact that the tie needs to be reversed when tying it.

How they implemented it it is you can't get a strong item if you pick-up the item box while being stopped (like as it respawns with no forward speed), by going in reverse or picking up the same one multiple times.

I recommend it especially to first time readers. So much of the vampire story mythos was crystallized right then and there, it feels kind of progressive for the time and the English doesn't read outright ancient, it's kind of an easy read.

Your French is pretty close. "héroes" should be written "héros", there's no "e" and "du" means "of the" singular. So The Death of the Hero .

But the héroes thing might be misspelled in the ost itself.

I use other search engines such as duckduckgo which are better for privacy and less aimed at steering you to the websites that are using the search engine's ad services. They do have a deal with Bing, so I might be wrong.

I don't think people are gonna adopt Lemmy because they stumbled on it from Google searches.

    I'm currently reading this. https://perfectdailygrind.com/2018/05/why-are-some-coffees-more-acidic-than-others-a-brew-roast-guide/

It might help you in deciding which green coffee you want and how to experiment with it. I hope it gives you ideas like it does for me, I'm currently experimenting with pan roasting. If you want to invest anyway, I'm not recommending you do many pan roasts but you might wanna try at least one, especially since it's super cheap to accomplish.

Batch 4. 100g for 12m at 52%. First crack (after 4-5 outliers beginning at minute 3) at 7m. Net loss of 15g (15%). I was aiming for a medium-er roast since the acidity was a bit much. Next time, I'm keeping everything the same, but I will try to use a lid and stir with occasional tossing motions for the first 3 to 5 minutes.

    Bean close-up

Those represent the extremes of my last pan roast. If the middle bean is 50%, most of my roast was beans at 40%. The leftmost one tasted a little fruity and chocolatey. The middle one tasted baked and toasted and the rightmost one tasted more like burnt toasts, the only one with a frank bitterness.

Batch 3. 100g for 15m 30s at 48% bumped up to 50% near the end. First crack began at 12m 30s, so my next batch will be done at least at 50% power. It's a little more uniform. Net loss of 17g (17%). I found a comfortable and efficient agitation technique. My second batch was more of a medium roast and I feel like I lost some fruit and chocolate notes, so I'm trying to get back there a little while keeping a pleasant bitterness.

I will keep an eye for a used bread maker, but I'm just not sure I need a heat gun, so unless I find a use and ask one for Christmas I'll be doing pan roasts for a while. Still, that method was a fun rabbit hole to explore.

This is my first mechanical. I ordered Gateron pro yellows pre installed. Everything is supposed to be lightly lubed. Managed to get it for 121 CAD + taxes and free shipping. I think I got a substantially better deal than if I went with my original plan of buying a Keychron V1. I can't describe the feel too much because it's my only mechanical ever but it's very good. I don't think it feels flawless, but it's good. Left shift and space have foam or rubber beneath making them thud more than the other keys and the board itself is heavy and already dampened. They gave a cap and switch puller as well as 3 switches and a black space bar cap.

In my experience so far, it's the cheaper option. Most roasteries I can find can apparently not be bothered to communicate their roast dates. I think I know of a few places where I would be able to know it, but those places will sell me beans at 20$ per pound and more if I take a smaller amount, which I have to, because I don't use it that fast. This all means expensive coffee that will stay in the cupboard or the hopper for up to 3 months, being really good mainly the first 2 weeks. Green beans I found are half the price, and I can roast whatever I need on a weekly basis. I assume you think it's expensive because you would need to buy a roaster, but really, I bought a metal sieve from the dollar store and got started earlier today. It helps that I like to mix dark roast with light roast, so inconsistencies in my process will lead to something similar anyway. For now, I actually tried a rather good cup and it cost me 25 CAD and 10 minutes.

    First pan roast

Ethiopian Kaffa Anderacha. 100g for 9m20s at 65%. Cracking started at around minute 6. When I was happy, I went to shake it outside in the sieve. I was aiming at a light roast but realizing that it's not a very even method, I went and made sure even the greener beans had time to get a little tan. I think I'll use 50g instead next time. Advice is super welcome. I just prepared a cup using the James Hoffman daily driver aeropress recipe as soon as it was cool. I know I should let it degas but I wanted to experience the freshest cup possible as a base for later comparison. As is, to my understanding, it tastes planty, caramely and neither too acidic, astringent or bitter. Really nice cup.

Full 3 pass. The GEM was easy to use and not as aggressive as I was lead to believe so I went a little chase-ish. It's not an exceptionally close shave, so I might try a slight bit of pressure or a different angle next time. Also, it might just be the patina on top of the razor, but it doesn't glide as easy as my other ones. Globally a DFS with a bit of irritation. Good enough but I'm not impressed for now. Plunder is a wonderful scent. Instant classic.

You can use an octo baloon shield instead of spending a rocket.

You can parry the lasers but since they are continuous, you end up getting hit after the parry and you don't reflect them back.

The best damage combo once it's down is to be at 1 heart or less with a molduga jaw knight's claymore, Evil Spirit armor (Phantom Ganon) or Radiant armor (glow in the dark skeleton luchador), and attack lvl 3 food. This allows you to kill it in 1 cycle. I think the base damage of that sword is 128 displayed, the armor multiplies by 1.8 (cause the jaw is considered a bone) and the attack buff by another 1.5. This assumes the sword has the attack + modifier and is pristine.

Mail Call: MMOC and 10 Personna GEM blades

It's most likely from 1930-1931 since it doesn't feature bumps to accommodate double edged blades. This is after a quick clean using dish soap and a brush. I'll submit it to an alcohol bath just in case and then try to flow some mineral oil in the mechanism. After that, we'll see if I want to do some detailing, I'm still unsure which product to de-grime it with and bring some luster back. I've heard it's supposed to be full brass with gold plating.

    Unroasted beans buying advice

I want to start home roasting but I'm not sure where\what to buy as far as beans go as a Canadian buyer. I did a quick check on Amazon (which I try to avoid buying from) and found the cheapest beans are about 14 CAD per pound, but I'm not sure that it's that good of a deal and I don't know what quality I'm getting. Any advice is appreciated. Edit: found a supplier: https://terracaf.ca/

    Hardware suggestions

How do any of you read your comics? I'm looking for something like a tablet/e-reader that would support either web browsing or adding files without using a proprietary store and color screen. Bonus points if the screen is huge and I can compromise having one that is old, a little slow/low refresh rate and low res. Currently using a MS Surface which is great but really heavy and slightly clunky. It's also shared so I have to give it back occasionally. First time poster, happy to see so many people on Lemmy.
