I have read and watched every piece of SW media I could get my hands on for the last 30 years. There were absolutely some trash books or plotlines but nothing is worse than the 3 sequels and the Book of Boba Fett. Also, Solo got a bad rap.

The Apple iOS method. See a great app or product on your platform. If they won't sell it or want to much Apple just makes their own version and prohibits the original.

He's a callous shitbag is why. That's the correct answer. It has nothing to do with some deep thought on how the US exploits people, etc. It's a response he gave because he doesn't respect people regardless of whether they are dead or alive. The only people he respects are those in power.

People are acting like this game is terrible but forget they said the exact same shit about Skyrim, NMS, FO4, and Cyberpunk 2077. After a few updates and some mods no one's going to be shitting on this game 2-3 years from now.
All of those games are considered great today but you couldn't visit social media without seeing people complain about any and everything after they launched. I have a couple hundred hours in and I love this game. I haven't even finished the main story on my first play through.

As a former listener I just enjoyed that he had people on I both wanted to hear from and people who were talking about shit I never heard of so it filled din as background noise while working. Even when he was misinformed it was merely the topic of the day. Sometime around when he had Dan Crenshaw on for the first time is when I remember him really digging into weird rightwing talking points. Once covid hit it was over. It was like he moved into an ego silo and he wouldnt even let his guests provide a point of view he didn't agree with or understand. Every episode became about COVID and the woke left. He really is a fucking misinformation machine who can get away with it because everyone knows he is that fucking stupid.

Did we forget Russia invaded and captured Crimea and then said they had no further desires to expand or wage more war against Ukraine? GTFO

Republicans I know: "Gas is too high and it's Bidens fault!"
Me: "Actually, 203 Republicans voted against a bill to stop predatory gas prices and 0 voted to support it."
Republicans I know: "Cause it's too expensive to enforce. We all know it's another govt law to hold over us."
Fucking idiots.

This isn't happening in factories. This is happening in situations where someone is remodeling so none of those guys can afford fancy machinery. They usually cut/fit/sand on site.

I absolutely love the enthusiasm for required regulations in this thread but everyone is missing one critical aspect... illegal workers are probably a huge part of those impacted by this. Many of these "companies" who cut counters work through subcontractors and I bet the majority of these are just a guy with an LLC. I would love to see more numbers on the type of worker/businesses being hit with this illness.

The easiest way to get POIs is to buy slates from vendors, pick up tracker missions for combat, and when you scan planets land at the first random place that shows up. Also, it really helps to hail ships and ask.

On my playthrough I just unlocked the Mantis questline. With the Razorleaf for my combat ship I just jumped around stars and went to any and all POIs that were hostile activity. Got to level 3 really fast like that.

In my defense he's probably a bully at school too.
So my kid was playing and while attempting to hijack a ship it took off into space. Once he killed the crew he was unable to fly the ship due to having too low of a level. Being overburdened he dumped all of his gear and then fast travelled back to his destination. About an hour later he returned to that planet and found the ship floating in space and when he boarded everything was floating like the power was off. Pretty cool for sure.

I am the lead on a team of 5 and technically we have an on call rotation but it is rarely used. In the last 3 years I have been called after hours a total of 4 times and TBH it was usually due to an AWS outage which resulted in us saying well let's see how long it takes for them to o restore services and then someone run a safety check to make sure shit is normal.
For that I make $120k, have unlimited PTO, and work from home.

Legally yes. But you have to prove they didn't simply misplace the funds. Democracy is great and I love it. However, the fact remains you can't report something you don't have documentation on.

The Pentagon does know where there money goes but they are never going to tell a committee of idiots who cannot keep a damn thing secret. If you can't trust even the President to not run his mouth or expose classified satellite capabilities to our enemies then why would they ever tell anyone in politics where that money is going? I want a transparent govt as much as the next person but it isn't going to happen.

Simply based off of his track history of not paying his debts I wouldn't take on a single contract or loan with this person. We have a local business owner who doesn't pay his contractors. It's well known locally so he always has to hire out of county to get work done because everyone knows he will screw you over. Trump is no different.

I know 2 people who wrote COBOL code for some major healthcare systems a long time ago and they came out of retirement about 5 years ago to update/convert that code. They made six figure salaries working from home to update that code.

To quote the great Nicholas Meyer (Director of Wrath of Khan) who spoke on this topic:
"Roddenberry had his own utopian vision about the perfectibility of man, and I never really believed that. And I don’t think the show demonstrates that. I think it is about gunboat diplomacy. In the final analysis, the Enterprise fires. They’re always shooting and bringing civilization, and coming to worlds where they don’t approve of tyrannical enterprises – no pun intended – and they substitute their own quote unquote enlightened version of how society is supposed to work, which is essentially American."

I use Windows for work and gaming, MacOS for app development (mostly because I can code for iOS and Android in one environment), and ChromeOS for my daily browsing.
I just enjoy how chrome always works when I need to just browse the internet or buy something online without issue.

When I worked as a IT Tech at a University years ago we had a lot of MacOS users who believed they could just pick it up and use it like their iPhone. It was absurd how well their marketing worked because those users either forced themselves to learn it or dropped it and went back to Windows.
I know a lot of iOS users who have iPads and iPhones but still have windows PCs because they don't have to worry about compatibility issues.

I think it's more about how those types of buyers view the manufacturers reliability long term. The man is unhinged and has proven with Twitter that if given the chance he will willingly fuck over users. Imagine giving a bully the ability to limit your driving range or disabling your vehicle on a whim because he decides he doesn't like you or what your local govt says.
Not saying he would do it but he has proven repeatedly to be unstable enough to believe he could escape punishment for doing it.

It's a little rough to read in the beginning. You can clearly see Cook struggling to find his voice in writing. The story is great and the writing does improve.

100% agree with you. The TOS loyalists are going out of their way to find excuses to hate this show. It's the best series I have seen since TNG and I am not saying the others were bad. I actually like all of them with the exception of Discovery because it focuses so heavily on one plotline and one character.
This is an ensemble with humor when it needs it and is more true to the heart of Trek than people are giving it credit.

I am on a Pixel 7 Pro running the latest version of Voyager and was curious if it is possible for the Devs to add an attach image option to the response text editor? I see the option to add a link but not one to just attach a photo.
Need help identifying this unmarked roughly 6" CI? Any idea of age and manufacturer?
Made the switch from reddit and I feel this was the most appropriate place to upload my first image to Lemmy.
New to Lemmy so wanted to start creating some engaging content for new hunters who may land here. What's the must haves in your pack? Mine is a life jacket strobe light. Occasionally I get weird glances when people see it at camps, etc. but it has more than once been used to guide people to our location after recovering game at sunset. I originally carried it in the event I was lost while hiking since I solo often in Arizona's Southern Mountain ranges for Deer .
