Hi folks! There hasn't been any misbehavior in this community, nor to be frank do I expect any, but it's good to have redundancy, cover **more time zones**, etc... in case of spambots and the like. I'm looking to add a couple more mods! I don't have many metrics by which to choose fellow mods (such as the age of the account) so **all you need to apply and get picked is to be active in this community** (which means contribute posts and/or comments... **the more quality contributions you've made the more likely you're to get picked**). I'm **CET**, btw. If you want to guard this community and help it stay a cozy place, apply here in the comments to become a mod. 1st segment is under construction with completion date of 2027. 2nd segment has been extended to the Western Desert and has begun construction, with no announced end date. Construction of the 3rd segment, which is currently in the planning stage, is reported to begin soon. Further lines are proposed

Etihad Rail is one component of the [Gulf Railway](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_Railway) that will connect: Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. So far it is the only part that is completed. Each country is responsible for its length of the railroad. The Arabian Gulf region is the least populated part of Saudi Arabia and therefore the Saudi length of the track is a low priority for the Saudi government and work is scheduled to start in 2026.
All lines are currently in service except the purple and yellow lines which are under construction. The UAE portion of the Gulf Railway begun freight service and will begin passenger service between Abu Dhabi and Dubai later this year. The orange line is a dedicated High Speed Rail with a service speed of 300 km/h (190 mph). The remaining line are shared with freight and have a service speed of 200 km/h (120 mph).

Please note state lines were disputed as depicted. Notably NH had older claims to the VT territory claimed by NY. And this list isn't all inclusive, there were many small fights.
