I try to see as much live music as possible (within the genres that I at least somewhat like). There's something about being just another face in the crowd dancing to the music that makes me feel like I'm a part of something greater than myself. Everyone there at least has the common ground of liking the music regardless of their political stance, sexual preference, etc.

lol that's true but I should've said that I asked him how my scalp looks (since I can't really look at it closely myself), and he said "yeah seems fine, maybe a little dry." That is one thing that I noticed during the winter that dandruff got a little worse since skin dries out during the winter, but when it warms back up the dandruff dies down again. So again just to be clear, not everyone can stop using shampoo/conditioner especially if they have some kind of scalp condition, but for those people with the right hair type, it's totally fine and really not a big deal at all. You don't stink, your hair doesn't smell like anything at all really (as long as you are still regularly taking showers, I'm not saying to stop taking showers lol).

It's been 2 years now since I've used shampoo, just been rinsing with water only since. I'm no cosmetologist but my hair feels perfectly normal and healthy, and without telling him anything's changed, my barber hasn't been able to tell a difference. The first few weeks after stopping using shampoo my hair did get pretty greasy, but it eventually settled down and now it's totally fine. Instead of stripping away the natural oils with shampoo and replacing them with the synthetic oils in conditioner, just let your natural oils come back. Granted, this doesn't apply to everyone, I am lucky enough to have a hair type that I'm able to do this with.

I have a chance to see Randy Feltface live in December but may have to go by myself since my one standup buddy said he "can't do puppets" lol. I mean I get the puppet hate but this isn't like Jeff Dunham, Randy is actually legitimately funny to the point that you kinda forget you're looking at a puppet.
also agreed on Mitch, RIP.
Craig Ferguson is probably my number one though. His specials aren't even that great but the three times I've seen him live have been hysterical, and his Late Late Show was legendary imo, such a quick witted mind for improv.

Just did Long's this past week for the 2nd time, my wife had to get revenge on this mountain after getting psyched out on the trough 13 years ago. absolute pain in the ass of a mountain but a beautiful experience at the same time.. we call it "type 2 fun", meaning you might not enjoy it while you're doing it but you're glad you did it once it's over.

Still waiting on my dream of an easily pocketable handheld powerful enough for 100% smooth GC/PS2, while also having great battery life and managing to be passively cooled at the same time. We’re getting close but currently all the powerful handhelds are too big and the pocketable handhelds are too weak.

Is capitalism dying or will it just get more and more ruthless until like 10 people have 99.999% of the wealth? Is there a difference? Either way it seems like humanity will have to make a choice soon whether we want to keep propping up a system that has fundamentally failed them.

Multiply 9 times any number and it always "reduces" back down to 9 (add up the individual numbers in the result)
For example: 9 x 872 = 7848, so you take 7848 and split it into 7 + 8 + 4 + 8 = 27, then do it again 2 + 7 = 9 and we're back to 9
It can be a huge number and it still works:
9 x 987345734 = 8886111606
8+8+8+6+1+1+1+6+0+6 = 45
4+5 = 9
Also here's a cool video about some more mind blowing math facts

Decentralized localization of every possible energy generation system (renewables but if we're dreaming here then the supposedly suppressed Zero Point / radiant / overunity energy systems). Post scarcity abundance levels of all essential items, but mainly food, again through the localized means of production with vertical farm towers if space is a constraint. Free travel to anywhere on the planet and beyond using suppressed anti gravity electrogravitic technology (you said I could dream). Free access to every form of media ever made and knowledge formerly sequestered behind paywalls or otherwise suppressed, and a free and open forum to discuss these things.
But most importantly a new way of thinking that is cooperation based instead of competition based, and a new economic system that renders the profit motive obsolete and money itself much less of a controlling factor in peoples lives (such as a resource based economy like The Venus Project)
[Here's a longer version of Pedro Hernandez's video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCsjHJXGamo) (turn on English closed captions) And [here's Alfredo Carrillo's original video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kegC5gg8TM) which is slightly better quality. This is definitely one of the weirdest UFO videos I've ever seen with the dozens of spheres being ejected, almost seems organic in a way. And with two different people filming it at the same time gives it more credibility in my opinion (the movement of the ejected spheres matches up between the two videos) Have you seen these videos before? What are your thoughts?

Is there even an objective truth though? I’d say there technically is, but I think we all have our own subjective versions of what our “truth” is that rise and fall like a sine wave around the straight line of objective Truth.
Just remember that what is popular is not always true, and what is true is not always popular.

I prefer my ambient to have a psychedelic aspect to it instead of just pure drone, so probably my favorite ambient artist is Ishq, namely his albums Orchid, Sama, And Awake, Bloom, and Lotus. Sinepearl and Chandanam are also artists that have a similar sound to Ishq. also check out Woob's Repurpose album
getting into more of the psybient/psychill genre than pure ambient, mostly everything on Ultimae Records is gold imo (Solar Fields, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Cell, H.U.V.A. Network, Sync24, etc.)

yeah as far as I know, that's the only way to subscribe to communities that aren't on your instance. If you visit a community that's not on the instance that you made your account on, it will say this in the corner (for example): "You are not logged in. well living in clown world doesn't help, seeing as how we're at least a hundred years behind where we should be if history didn't go the way it did. if anyone's to blame it's JP Morgan after he shut down Tesla's funding way back then.
The footage shown in Pierre Beake's presentation above is some of the best I've seen, it shows 3 different objects on film at once. Renowned crop circle photographer [Steve Alexander's footage](https://temporarytemples.co.uk/what-are-crop-circles/the-milk-hill-ufo-footage) of a ball of light is also compelling. There is also of course the famous [1996 Oliver Castle video](https://vimeo.com/252590542) showing the supposed creation of a crop circle by the balls of light. The jury has been out for years as to the authenticity of this video so take it with a grain of salt. So what do you think these are? Solid metallic spheres? Or are they somehow made of pure light as some have reported?

hi first of all join me in the Crop Circles community here on Lemmy, would love to have you. (And for those not from lemmy.world, paste this in the search field of your instance: !cropcircles@lemmy.world )
secondly the objects seen hovering over crop circles are often reported as being balls of light or pure energy instead of metallic spheres or something necessarily solid, although I suppose they could be solid but just are very bright. This presentation by Pierre Beake shows some great rarely seen footage of balls of light seen over crop formations (skip to 58:13)

If every person in the civilization could absorb any form of media ever made as well as knowledge formerly sequestered away behind paywalls or otherwise suppressed, just imagine what heights such a society could reach.

A complete collection of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, including the first few years that nobody thought to record. The LLS Archive channel on YouTube is the most comprehensive source available but there's still huge gaps of missing episodes. Rumor has it there's one guy out there who recorded every episode on VHS but is refusing to digitize them.

Thanks for this list, gonna check these out. I am mostly in to old school goa trance the likes of Hallucinogen, Doof, Astral Projection, Darshan, Green Nuns of the Revolution, Blue Planet Corporation, etc.
So it sounds like I’ll like the Medicine Drum EP since goa seems to have a more organic sound than the more “digital” sound of more modern psytrance.
