The jump from mono to stereo made a lot of engineers' heads spin. Then again, how many 100% perfect 5.1 albums have you heard?
Actually, I've listened to only three 5.1 remixes, all of them phenomenal albums to begin with, and their 5.1 jobs were pretty meh. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots came out pretty good, but mainly because they just fucked around and tried stuff.

I remember this track from Beavis and Butt-head. They cut it off as that first big note faded out, and for years I thought that was the whole song, the whole video. I wanted that to be the case, because I thought it was brilliant.

I'm so glad this is where you took it. Great pick!
The story goes that the "Twin" in the Aphex Twin stage name refers to an older sibling of Richard D. James' who died as an infant (or was stillborn), and his parents reused the name Richard when he came around. The photo on the cover of the _Girl/Boy_ EP is allegedly the grave where this sibling is buried.

I use Voyager on Android with the iOS theme.
Song titles posed as questions comprised entirely of monosyllabic words.
Much like the "return to monke" meme, the themes of this song and video explore the dubious privilege of the "higher beings." Also, similar groove and vocal performance.
How do you do, fellow Blockheads?
Modest Mouse side project
Not exactly a cover, but written _for_ Johnny _by_ Tom Waits, who also did his own version. That fucking cover art is legendary.
More _American Recordings_ tracks wherein Johnny Cash covers songs you'd think he'd have no business getting near, but he pulls it off just the same.

Title's close enough. Featuring Julian Cope on epic poetry.
For more music history, this track is generally thought of as the branch point of disco into techno. Production by Giorgio Moroder, wherein the only non-synthesized instrument is the four-on-the-floor kick drum.
