Simple cause and effect, coupled with pre-existing fear of cops because of the multitude of times they’ve shot a person dead over nothing, or kneeled on their neck until they were dead over cigarettes.

Work makes us feel like we have purpose because capitalism has deprived us of the opportunity to fill that void with anything that actually enriches us as humans. If we’re not working, we feel worthless because that status quo mindset has been forced into reality, while things like homelessness have been criminalized, and everything else has been pushed to the redline of profitability.

Project Zomboid. That’s the most recent game I can think of where I reduced the difficulty (and that’s coming from someone that has nearly 400 hours into Elden Ring). It’s not that the game is tougher than ER or anything like that. It has a ton of cool mechanics and detail that are really enjoyable if you’re into zombie survival games, but the zombies can really swarm you in that game and you won’t live long.

It also has sandbox mode where there’s no zombies and you can focus on farming, building, etc.

I can give Ali a pass for niche things, but Temu is straight up junk. The problem is when these cheaper products permeate everything while being pushed as high end. Etsy is basically useless now because of this. Almost everything on there is an overpriced knockoff.

None of this is necessarily AliExpress’ or Temu’s fault though. It’s just what happens in a capitalist system.

Products as a whole are going to shit in terms of quality. It’s part of the enshittification that late capitalism drives.

And automatic litter boxes have always been trash. I’ve had 2 in my lifetime and they were both bad. Just scoop that thing and call it a day!

If you don’t have 3 part-time jobs, you have 1 full-time job that is an absolute brain suck. At the end of my work days, I get the thousand yard stare. I’m lucky if I can even feed myself an actual meal.

Even Amazon has gotten super sketch as of late. It’s hard to determine which products are good or not when the site is flooded with 500 duplicates from 500 clearly fake companies.

The US has gone so deep on this venture that backing out risks basically everything. I’m a lefty to the bone and have been since I was a kid. I’ve spent most of my life in the south and have met some amazing redneck folks that don’t fit into this mold.

My identity comment was tied to Mullvad itself. They don’t require any identifying information when signing up. For the kind of protection you’re talking about, yeah you’re gonna have to go further than just a VPN. Their fingerprinting capabilities are ridiculous.

I signed up for Mullvad and it’s worth it. Super cheap and no data tied to you.

This has been going since 2015. Ionov’s group worked with 2 other separatist groups back then too. One from Texas and another from California. It’s been a wild ride to follow, especially when coupled with this story.

These groups need to recognize that:

1. Russia doesn’t give a shit about what these groups believe in; they’re using them as influence while flashing money at them
2. The US has all of these groups under a magnifying glass at all times and has for years. I know firsthand because I was on a police watchlist for working with one
3. I think part of why the US is going hard against Uhuru is because they’ve funded and run a local candidate for a few years now in the city of St. Petersburg Florida. So they see that as directly trying to influence elections (despite their candidate unsurprisingly getting barely any votes in a very liberal city)

It’s going to be a fun slippery slope watching the US try to fight against something it regularly does on every single continent.

The area I’m in has skyrocketed and has some of the highest rent I’ve ever seen in my life (saw $5400/m for renting part of a house.) The folks moving here are mostly remote workers from what I can gather, so they basically make it impossible for other residents to afford rent. I’ve talked to waitstaff here that say they can’t even live in the town they work in.

I live in the southern US where people keep moving to. I don’t know why they’re attracted to this place. My partner and I both hate it and have plans to move to the northeast where it’s a little more remote and there are less assholes per square mile.

I have unlimited and I’ve seen a few people take 2 weeks off consecutively. So it seems like the company is pretty flexible and doesn’t put artificial limitations on it. That said, I’m pretty sure even a month off wouldn’t fix the damage that’s been done to my brain from years stacked upon years of redlining it to write code and solve problems. I find as I get older I need more time off to truly disconnect.
