It’s still wild to me that there are workers out there that will defend this.

The violence wouldn’t have been escalated if
- The cops didn’t chase them down for a measly fare
- The cops weren’t absolute monsters that shoot first and ask questions never
Simple cause and effect, coupled with pre-existing fear of cops because of the multitude of times they’ve shot a person dead over nothing, or kneeled on their neck until they were dead over cigarettes.

Work makes us feel like we have purpose because capitalism has deprived us of the opportunity to fill that void with anything that actually enriches us as humans. If we’re not working, we feel worthless because that status quo mindset has been forced into reality, while things like homelessness have been criminalized, and everything else has been pushed to the redline of profitability.

They could’ve done that without the greedy crypto aspect, but as the enshittification trend goes, they just couldn’t help themselves.
But Gametech's efforts to legally acquire the Flappy Bird name seem to go back much further than that. Back in 2014, an outfit called Mobile Media Partners tried to claim the Flappy Bird trademark in a filing made mere days after Nguyen pulled the game from the App Store.
Purely opportunistic bullshit and painting it as anything innocent is disingenuous.

I love watching the empire erode in real time.
Amazon is also flattening its corporate structure by having fewer managers in each organization.
This is just them wanting to pay people less money.

- Joplin has a lot of customization
- Can store your notes wherever you want (Dropbox, WebDAV, OneDrive, Nextcloud, Joplin’s own cloud service, etc)
- Backups can optionally be encrypted (you set a password used to decrypt them and store that somewhere)
- You can make multiple notebooks in the hierarchy structure you want
- Open source
- Markdown (if you’re into that)
- Plugin support
- Tags

Love that you have Joplin on the list! I started using that recently to handle all of my notes and it’s been great.

Project Zomboid. That’s the most recent game I can think of where I reduced the difficulty (and that’s coming from someone that has nearly 400 hours into Elden Ring). It’s not that the game is tougher than ER or anything like that. It has a ton of cool mechanics and detail that are really enjoyable if you’re into zombie survival games, but the zombies can really swarm you in that game and you won’t live long.
It also has sandbox mode where there’s no zombies and you can focus on farming, building, etc.

I can give Ali a pass for niche things, but Temu is straight up junk. The problem is when these cheaper products permeate everything while being pushed as high end. Etsy is basically useless now because of this. Almost everything on there is an overpriced knockoff.
None of this is necessarily AliExpress’ or Temu’s fault though. It’s just what happens in a capitalist system.

Products as a whole are going to shit in terms of quality. It’s part of the enshittification that late capitalism drives.
And automatic litter boxes have always been trash. I’ve had 2 in my lifetime and they were both bad. Just scoop that thing and call it a day!

If you don’t have 3 part-time jobs, you have 1 full-time job that is an absolute brain suck. At the end of my work days, I get the thousand yard stare. I’m lucky if I can even feed myself an actual meal.

Even Amazon has gotten super sketch as of late. It’s hard to determine which products are good or not when the site is flooded with 500 duplicates from 500 clearly fake companies.

Hey, I’ll take any ceasefire at this point. If she goes through with it, I’m all for it. But history doesn’t make me optimistic, and she’s using the same 2 state solution stuff we’ve heard before and it sounds like appeasement.
The US has gone so deep on this venture that backing out risks basically everything. Members of the Knesset have already stated that if Netanyahu agrees to anything that stops or reduces the genocide, they’ll kickoff a coup. So I’m not optimistic that any president in our lifetime will finally put an end to this, and words amount to nothing.

Republican Party: openly supports Israel and pushes for the genocide. Continues to fund Israel. States all of this stuff. Overt.
Democratic Party: covertly continues to fund Israel, but knows that they can’t publicly say that. So they frame it with bullshit platitudes like asking Netanyahu to “reduce civilian casualties”. They’ll use the term “ceasefire” but will never push a true ceasefire. Covert.
Obligatory notes:
- No I’m not funded by Russia. I’m just some dude living in the US that has followed politics and police brutality stuff for ages.
- No, I don’t support tankie shit; I follow socialist and Marxist philosophies, but authoritarianism can fuck all the way off.
- Vote shaming is for people that can’t face reality. It’s anti-working class bullshit that the ruling class benefits from. It’s okay to criticize your party. They work for you.
- I’m not magically endorsing Trump and the republicans because I stated some hard truths about the Democratic Party. If you think that’s the case, I implore you to put aside the kindergarten-level logic and get real.

My identity comment was tied to Mullvad itself. They don’t require any identifying information when signing up. For the kind of protection you’re talking about, yeah you’re gonna have to go further than just a VPN. Their fingerprinting capabilities are ridiculous.

This has been going since 2015. Ionov’s group worked with 2 other separatist groups back then too. One from Texas and another from California. It’s been a wild ride to follow, especially when coupled with this story.
These groups need to recognize that:
- Russia doesn’t give a shit about what these groups believe in; they’re using them as influence while flashing money at them
- The US has all of these groups under a magnifying glass at all times and has for years. I know firsthand because I was on a police watchlist for working with one
- I think part of why the US is going hard against Uhuru is because they’ve funded and run a local candidate for a few years now in the city of St. Petersburg Florida. So they see that as directly trying to influence elections (despite their candidate unsurprisingly getting barely any votes in a very liberal city)
It’s going to be a fun slippery slope watching the US try to fight against something it regularly does on every single continent.

The area I’m in has skyrocketed and has some of the highest rent I’ve ever seen in my life (saw $5400/m for renting part of a house.) The folks moving here are mostly remote workers from what I can gather, so they basically make it impossible for other residents to afford rent. I’ve talked to waitstaff here that say they can’t even live in the town they work in.

I live in the southern US where people keep moving to. I don’t know why they’re attracted to this place. My partner and I both hate it and have plans to move to the northeast where it’s a little more remote and there are less assholes per square mile.

I have unlimited and I’ve seen a few people take 2 weeks off consecutively. So it seems like the company is pretty flexible and doesn’t put artificial limitations on it. That said, I’m pretty sure even a month off wouldn’t fix the damage that’s been done to my brain from years stacked upon years of redlining it to write code and solve problems. I find as I get older I need more time off to truly disconnect.
A meme that shows an image of Jordan Peterson on the left, and Henry Rollins on the right. The title at the top reads: > Why listen to glorified motivational speaker Jordan Peterson when you can just listen to Henry Rollins The left column below Peterson reads: - Thinks there is a "crisis in masculinity" - Insists that the "hero's journey" is a long, strenuous process - Never collaborated with Tool - Zero scene cred - Writes self-help books The right column below Rollins reads: - Never belittles or puts you down for your inner turmoil - "Hero time starts. Right. Now." - Provided a visceral monologue on Tool's debut album - Well respected in the music scene - Writes about his travels and interacting with foreign cultures

Powerslide Next 100s on unrockered PS Katana frames and PS Spinner 110 wheels. They’re not in the picture but I’ve since added 2nd Skin liners. The stock liners were *way* too thick.
Now to find Donnie and Raph.
The left one is the remake from the old mold, but I have the real OG stored away. Leo was always my favorite. I want to collect all of the new ones though.
I recently started playing GTAV again and sometimes I’ll get in my car and let the radio stations play while I do house stuff. Favorite stations are the 80s one with Kenny Loggins, and West Coast Classics and Rock Radio.
He’s been doing this ever since we got him and I hope he never stops. Bonus thumbs!
