I set up nextcloud via docker on a raspberry pi and installed gpodder sync there. That is working for me.

I have also implemented it in emacs. It is awesome.

Yes I understand that, but 'pretty much' is not 'entirely', so I am looking for confirmation.

Does this also sync with nextcloud/gpoddersync?

There are a lot of shit people in this world. Try to minimize your interactions with them. Don't waste your energy on them.

I guess the transaction and exchange fees don't scale with the inflation of the currency. The exchange server may also have a minimum starting fee.

I havent looked into these other formats because maildir works for me. I can saxe local backups, remoxe mail from the serveg, and even put it back later. All plain text.

Look into isync / mbsync in combination with maildir utils (mu/mu4e) or notmuch.

This is such a nice introduction for people that are very new or have just started with meditation.

Why the emacs hate?
mosthated 11 months ago • 100%
Can you provide any source that it was created or initiated by what you call 'a crazed bunch of emacs zealots', or that the goal was to 'unsurp the rightful position of "man"'. Quite bold statements that are unlikely to be true imho.

I think it is pretty good in terms of difficulty. What I miss somitimes is a bit more variation in the levels in terms of color. But that of course does not make sense for a game like doom that is all about dark, industrial and scifi themed.

I bought Doom 3 a long time ago, but got stuck at some point and stopped playing. Gave it another try this week and was able to progress again. Turned out my last save game was from 2022 :o. Will probably play again this weekend.

There are many other great alternatives.
Wtf. are you talking about? Just the size alone reduces the competition to almost zero.

If the power lines are good, you can fairly easily extend your network with ethernet over powerline adapters:
https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Powerline-Adapter-Ethernet-Passthrough/dp/B0778Y6K6N
You plug one unit into an outlet close to your router and connect it to your router with an ethernet cable. You plug the other unit in in any other room in your house and connect it with ethernet to a computer, a second router, or any other device that has an ethernet port.

Other than for use with your apple watch, I don't understand why you would want twa carry around an iPhone in addition to an Android phone. Why do you prefer to use the iPhone for texting, streaming, news or CarPlay (instead of Android auto)?

I was exited for this phone, but as I said in another thread: I am a bit disappoited about the CPU and the substantial price hike, but most of all aqout the size increase. Is there any market research at all indicating that customers want 6"+ displays?

That even though you are running an LTS version of Ubuntu (e.g. Ubuntu 22.04), some packages that have arrived over a year ago on e.g. 23.10 will never arrive on 22.04.
Example: i3-wm 4.22 or up (https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=i3&searchon=names&suite=jammy§ion=all).

Did you guys see the cat face in her left knee? :|
I had a bunch of personal scripts to manage my music database. Maybe 10-sh scripts, max a few hundred lines long, nothing too big. A little while ago, I wrapped them into a big emacs org file for literate programming, and to tangle them, so I could easily edit them in one place. Backed them up to at least three servers, both locally and in another building. I also have Cronopete running, (a Linux implementation of MacOS Time Machine), so everything is safe, right? Right?!. I didn't need the scripts for 3 months or so, but today I wanted to use them but couldn't find them anywhere. Not on any backup server, not on the Cronopete drive. The only thing I can think of is that I must have saved that org file on the backup server and then backed up over it (and it never got pulled by Cronopete because it does of course not look at the backup server). I will have to start rewriting those scripts from scratch. FML.
This phone has everything that I am looking for in a <6" form factor. Its release date is June 29. Really looking forward to it!

When I look at Mastodon posts, I see a decent amount of replies and boosts for popular posts, but not very many stars (see example image). I assumed a star is the same as a like, but I feel not a lot of people star a post, whereas I did see a lot of hearts/likes on Twitter posts. Are they not equivalent?

I want to sync my podcast activity using Flodder (https://github.com/thrillfall/nextcloud-gpodder/). There is a nextcloud app for this: https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/gpoddersync I have never used nextcloud before, so I am not sure how to install an app. I created a nextcloud account that was pointing me to the a server with the address https://the good.cloud. With my credentials and this server address, I can log in to this nextcloud instance via the nextcloud android app. I don't see any options to install apps there though. Is it possible to install apps in nextcloud when you are not self hosting? If so, how do I do that?
I think they look pretty cool. What do you guys think?
I wish I had better news for you guys 😝
I have been searching the web on how to backup/download your reddit post history, but I have not found any good tutorials. Could someone explain how to do this?
