Eve online? In game Trolling/scamming is allowed and a completely valid gameplay, profit generating activity. The game is open ended so personality conflict and consensual/non-consensual PVP are the main activity drivers in the game.
Creating a python script to watch your screen and report intelligence to a third party out of game/recon tool? Probably completely within EULA and useful.
Creating a script that interacts with the client in any way (mouse clicks, packet sniffing etc.) is against Eula and will get you banned (considered cheating)
It’s a really unique game, worth a try. Nothing like it, not for everyone though. If you try it, try to spend no more than a week on your own in it. Then seek out other player groups in the game. It’s truly difficult to get by on your own in that game - and actually quite boring without the social aspect.

I’ve used some of these features when I’m trying to skim many articles for my grad school work. It’s not terrible.
There is a use case for this stuff. Especially in a search engine.
Short of hosting your own LLM, Kagi is one of the few I’d hope can get it right and respect privacy. (So far unverified on the AI side tho)

Ok, awesome for the programming practice/proof of concept but for gaming, I never understood the idea behind cheating.
Takes out half the fun of playing the game. You enjoy trolling people and harvesting the salt? Either get better or find a game that includes it as part of its core gameplay (ie eve online)

Straight out of the fascist playbook. Claiming the election is stolen before voting has even taken place.
Yet the GOP is the one with a fake elector scheme.

Hey, old thread by now but for anyone complaining about price, you’re completely justified.
I would not pay 20/mo either. You can still get game time down to as low as approx 8/mo but it requires committing, finding a sale, and paying up front for the 12 or 24/mo.
I get a lot of people don’t want to commit that long or don’t have that spare $ up front.
I hate that they’ve gamified paying for the game.

It’s probably irresponsible of me, but now that I’m older and have expendable income - I will buy games, (usually on sale but sometimes at full price) to support the Devs of games I like. (Provided initial reviews are positive and the game is in a decent state, not riddled with micro-trans ect.)
Even if I don’t have the time to play it. I know I could get some games cheaper if I buy them later but I think the initial sales numbers are a big factor in whether or not certain franchises get continued funding.

As I posted above, try out faction warfare if you haven't recently. It's pretty PVP centric but with a low barrier to entry.
lenninscjay 1 year ago • 100%
Faction warfare seems to be getting the most attention/iteration at the moment. I'd recommend looking there and if you haven't gone the PVP route, try there! A lot of good small fights in as little as t1 frigates can be had on the regular. A lot of public fleets flying with Sedition. who are hosting 3-4 fleets a day!

That’s you but there are plenty of us where the novelty of binge drinking got immature fast. Don’t get me wrong, I partied in my 20s but the way I carried myself when drunk, the dumb shit I did, the after effects of the hangover… definitely gets old. (If I could go back I think of would have impressed far more people, and more girls, had I not had a goal to get shitfaced with everyone and I don’t even consider myself a sloppy drunk.)
Also, at a certain age I think a lot of people realize that your drinking buddies are not necessarily your friends. When drinking is removed as your common activity it surprising how little you have in common with some people and who is really willing to stick their neck out for you in a time of need.
As a parent, my goal is to never let my kids see me drunk/buzzed. I want them to know they can always depend on me, and that I’m always clear headed and in a mental state to provide whatever might be needed (unexpected trip to the ER anyone?). Always on duty.

So apparently, this applied to alpha accounts too. Had I known, I could have walked away with 100-200 plex. Some of my corpmates did but I found out too late.

TLDR;
The technology is simply not available to achieve these wonders in a slim, light glasses form factor right now. But progress is being made. Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1 processor and devices using this technology could launch in 2024, if not sooner.
Looking further down the road, Lumus is working on advanced, full-color AR glasses for targeting late 2024 or 2025. Meta AR glasses are in development, and Apple AR glasses are planned as well.

Thanks for this! So I understand all these “arrest” chapters of the timeline means he has to turn himself in and post bail. My question is how is a person of his status and money, and access to private jets not a flight risk? He has too much business here to not flee the U.S.?
I’d think the moment the writing was on the wall that he had no chance to win the case he’d be on a plane to somewhere. Fortunately he’s too stubborn to think he’ll ever loose.
But unlike us common folk, it’s not like they’d cuff him immediately after the trial. Odds are he’d be given a few weeks/months to put his affairs in order then surrender himself. What’s to stop him from fleeing short of a 3 letter agency keeping intel and actively intervening… if they figure it out in time.

I think it’s the way the fediverse works, an inherit limitation, by the fact that it’s not all on one server that’s easily indexed.
However we do have lemmy search:

Homeworld is so good I’ve purchased it 3 times over the years on separate platforms.
Can’t speak to any of the issues of playing the HW1 campaign on the HW2/remastered engine. It’s been so long since I’ve beaten the campaign that I can’t remember if it was on the original engine or remastered (that’s the great thing about old video games, you always remember them looking so much better than they do haha!)

Hey, that’s valid. I just know space was a premium. Personally, I don’t think it’s as hard of a leap as you make it out to be. It phonetically spells out “lemmy.” I think anyone who is curious enough to warrant a search could figure it out.
That aside, you won’t find me on r/place. I want to stay off Reddit. Those that can tolerate it enough to vent their frustration and mourning while leaving a flag pointing where to go next… more power to ‘em.

I use YT prem. Use a ton of YT for the kids and I like that my YT prem helps the content creaters I sub to. Though, if they had a patron or something they'd probably get a cut.

Hey all, teaching myself CPP through a few books (and a little bit of CS in general through CS50) and hit a road block. I understand what pointers are, and understand they’re a big part of programming. My question is why? What do you use pointers for? Why is forwarding to a new memory address preferable to just changing the variable/replacing what’s already at the memory address or at a new one? Is it because new data could exceed the size of that address already allocated? Thanks in advance!
