I found some board games. I bought a Monopoly board game, and a Risk one for $2 each!

Hey, I know it’s been a while, but I just wanted to say that this meme wasn’t about attention removed. I made this meme for showing that dopamine release you get when you get a notification from someone because you know it’s probably gonna be a pleasant conversation talking with them on Lemmy. I made this meme because everyone was talking about how nice everyone is on Lemmy at that time so I though this would show it.
Sorry about that misunderstanding, I know my choice of meme template was not a good idea because it can confuse people.

DD/MM/YY and YY/MM/DD are the only acceptable ones IMO. Throwing a DD in between YY and MM is just weird since days move by faster so they should be at one of the ends and since YY moves the slowest it should be on the other end.

That’s not how farming started though. They started farming so that they can feed themselves and their community. It eventually devolved into that, but it’s not how it started.

Where I live it’s winter for like a little less than half the year (just started snowing) so the airs dry. Probably because of that.

Also, do you use a saline spray before your nose is dry, or when your nose is dry?
ProvokedGamer 11 months ago • 100%
Maybe. Is it normal to get dry boogers every 1-2 days or nah? It’s been happening my whole life so i don’t know if it’s normal or not.

Thank you! I might grab one of these then.

I always get dry boogers and they’re impossible to remove when blowing into a tissue.

My favourite ones the second one because I feel it’s the right amount of simplification without oversimplifying. The first one is alright though.

Same here, I grew up with consoles (Xbox mostly). I’m not used to keyboard so I don’t play that well on keyboard than I do on controller for most games. The only times I do use keyboard is for point and click or strategy games.

Ah ok. It did let me create an account, but the admin has to approve it so I probably won’t be on lemmy.one anytime soon (if ever)

Nothing, I just want another username that I use to separate my personal accounts (like discord, Snapchat, etc.) from my online accounts (lemmy, Reddit, etc.)

This is probably the main reason I’m considering switching to lemmy.one. Whenever I view a comment or what not, I can feel that I have a bias towards the person being upvoted instead of the one being downvoted. It seems to make it harder to take the post/comment for what it is.
Not only this, but I sometimes end up worrying if I’ll get downvoted for saying something, so I feel like no downvotes is the way to go. Do you know if any Lemmy clients support not showing downvotes if your instance doesn’t have them enabled?
I’m not from Lemmy.one, but I was wondering what you think of not having downvotes. Do you like having the ability to downvote, or not being able to downvote and why?

Yeah. People seem to forget that the people in our past are exactly the same as us. They had fun, loved each other, got upset, got happy, worked together. They just didn’t have the advancements we have. Just because they went where food was doesn’t make them any less human. What else were they gonna do? Starve? They needed to eat, and they didn’t know of any alternative reliable way of getting food besides hunting since they didn’t figure out farming yet.

I’m new to RSS and I’m trying to get into it. I don’t really check out news all too often, so mostly the other parts of RSS. Thanks.
I thought you could go blind looking at the sun. Edit: My title was worded badly. I meant how people don’t go blind. I understand why people look at sunsets, just not how they do blind. That’s my fault. Edit: Thanks for all the replies and clarification! Here’s what I learned incase anyone else has had the same question as me, the reason we don’t go blind is that we’re usually looking at the colours of the sky during a sunset and only some few second glances at the sun. Looking at the sun also doesn’t make us go blind during sunrise and sunset because the light rays have to go through more atmosphere, so by the time they reach your eyes, the rays are weaker. It’s fine to look at the sun for a few seconds when it’s more red than white or yellow. Again, thanks for all the clarification.
Any chance you can add saved comments eventually? In the saved tab inside your profile, it only shows saved posts. I haven’t seen any Lemmy client that has done this yet. P.S what would be the best way to send bug reports. Using TestFlight or something else?
In my dream, I dreamt I cooked a food in class. It tasted sweet and was a teensy bit crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside.
I come from iOS jailbreaking, and there was a tweak called cylinder that would add custom swipe animations when swiping from page to page in the home screen. I was wondering if there was anything similar to that on android. I’m willing to root if it’s required.
I would assume people would capitalize their titles in posts since that’s the standard pretty much anywhere else like on YouTube or news sites, and that’s what you learn to do in school. Why is it only different on forum platforms like Lemmy or Reddit?
Looking for stuff to do in them
This might not be the best community for this, but I don’t know what job I want after high school. I’m afraid of pursuing a job that I’ll end up hating. How do I figure out what job I want when I grow up?
I’m really enjoying this app so far for the past while. It’s the fastest Lemmy client I’ve seen so far, and I like the UI. It reminds me of Apollo. I have a few feature requests that I feel like would be nice in the app. 1. An ability to save drafts of posts would be nice. I don’t know if it’s in Lemmy itself, but if this isn’t in Lemmy itself, then disregard this request. 2. I’ve asked this on TestFlight, but I figured it might be easier to put it in here, so I think it’d be cool if there was a display total score for comments as well. ![An image of the total score feature for posts that’s in settings with it circled](https://i.imgur.com/4JkGFnE.jpg) 3. An option in settings to remove the text thumbnail for text-only posts. There was a setting for this in Apollo that I really liked and it’s the only thing stopping me from using the compact post style as my main style. ![An image showing the compact view of Memmy with the text-thumbnail circled](https://i.imgur.com/0qdEUGT.jpg) 4. I put this on TestFlight as well, but having a way to view all comments under a post after clicking on a reply from the inbox would be useful. When you click on a reply from your inbox, it only shows your comment and the reply so there’s no way to check the full thread or check out other comments under the post. I could’ve sworn that was already implemented, so it might be a bug, but if it isn’t a bug, it would be a massively useful feature. ![An image that shows 2-comments. The top one it me commenting, “These forest fires man,” and the person replying to me says, “who the fuck lit the whole goddamn province on fire.” This image is showing the fact that there is no button to see the full thread or see all comments.](https://i.imgur.com/PCip5kP.jpg) P.S: I’m glad Memmy finally released to the App Store! Thanks for all the hard work y’all do. Edit: 5. I think the ability to swipe to view the next image for a post with multiple images would be cool as well, or like the images to appear in the post at the places the OP put it at. Edit2: Formatting.
I can’t seem to find an option to cross-post. Can someone help me out please?
Mine is the Great tournament series, although some of the characters could’ve been more in depth. (Also, first Choicescript post, yay!)
Are there any pointers or resources you can give me to start out that can point me to the right direction to learn GDScript? I have no experience in coding in general and I’m looking to get started with Godot and using GDScript. Thank you.
I’ll go first. I dream journal with an app because I type much faster than I write, and I can actually understand my writing because I write very messy when I just wake up. I use an app called DreamKit to journal my dreams.
Dunno if this is a bug or just hasn’t been implemented yet, but when I click on another person’s profile, it takes me to my own profile instead of theirs. iOS 15 iPhone 8+
I really like this app! It’s more developed than a lot of other Lemmy third party apps currently. I was wondering if you could make the tabs darker on dark mode because the difference between the black and the tabs look too contrasting in my opinion. I feel like that would make it look more aesthetically pleasing. Thanks.
I really like this app, and from what I’ve seen, it looks like the most fleshed out Lemmy app on iOS currently., but Whenever I try to log in on any of the instances where I have accounts on, it gives me the spinning wheel of death. I’ve tried multiple times today and yesterday, but it doesn’t work for some reason. I can log in on other third-party apps and on the instance websites though. iOS 15.6 Model: iPhone 8+
Probably a dumb question, but I can't seem to find an option to change the sort order of comments inposts. Also, is there a way to make a default sort order for posts as well? Thanks!
