I dove into the Wikipedia article about handgrenades. There's a common separation between offensive and defensive grenades. Those which cause shrapnel are usually considered defensive grenades as they're having a larger, unforseeable area of effect and because of that you want to throw it from a defensive, covered position. But often times offensive grenades which usually cause harm only through their shockwave could easily be upgraded with a metal cover that will provide a shrapnel effect.

I actually heard that reasoning as well but after I read into it I came to the conclusion that this is most likely false. Roundly shaped grenades have been around for centuries and the first introduction of a pineapple-shaped grenades was by the Brits in WW1.
Also a grenade is around three times as heavy as a baseball.
But it makes sense that Americans were/are especially good at throwing grenades because of baseball.

Grenades are way older than baseball.

Since most of us can't afford retirement this should make a comeback.
Or we push billionaires down a cliff and use that money to take care of the elderly.

Somehow trolling in the fediverse is even easier than on Reddit. Probably because the lack of normies brings out the worst out of radical reactionaries.

Generalizing anyone who argues against tankies as neolibs isn't portraying the situation correctly.

Black people have different hair than other races so it requires a specific skillset not all barbers have aquired. Also the black American community puts a lot of value in their haircuts. Because of that black barbershops are not only a place where you get your hair cut but also an important meeting place in the community with huge cultural importance.
Btw I'm a white German who's never been to the US who got all his information about black barbershops from media so if someone better informed than me chips in I'd rather listen to them than me if I were you.

I can't even see downvotes as I'm on kbin. I think I see the difference between up- and downvotes which should be at +9 at the moment.
Tankies are basically communists that are mainly anti west to the point that they support autocratic countries like china and north Korea.

I consider running a half marathon at the end of October. The furthest I've run so far is 16km but I hope for a <1:50 time. Idk what to think about what kind of progress I can expect until then. I want to lose 3kg until then and I just raised my cadence to 150.

Your argumentation is similar to that of tankies. The US undeniably did shady shit to maintain hegemony over the last century and the whole past 911 thing was an unreasonable fiasco that cost the lives of over a million people.
It's just that autocracy is no alternative in any form and it's the biggest enemy of a free world.

The things that should be done to these executives would probably get me banned from Lemmy if I said.
Funny you say that. I was banned from Reddit for suggesting that suicidal people should take oil-ceos with them instead of wasting their death. Of course I learned my lesson and won't do that again.

Now the entire apartment smells like oil, gas and other carcinogenic chemicals.
To be fair I was well rested and since the heatwave is over I didn't have to fight the environment as much (although it rained and I was properly soaked and heavy). Also I looked up how to properly move while running yesterday and I realized that I had to include my upper body more into my movements. Using my upper body more is still a thing I have to consciously decide to do but I'm really excited that it'll soon go into my muscle memory and I'll naturally move better.
I mean that's a cool feature Reddit didn't have. There are so many tech savvy people here yet I feel the boost button is mostly ignored even though it can be so much more powerful in how it changes the exposure of a link/comment. If I can't see the actual amount of boosts due to some fuckery with being on kbin instead Lemmy or whatever lmk. Edit because I immediately got plenty of confused comments. I enter the lemmyverse through kbin and this federation offers to not just upvote but boost a comment as well. For me this means I can give a comment more exposure. But I'm really not good with computers plz to halp. There's a very good chance that I entirely misunderstood what I'm clicking on all the time. Edit 2: I just wanted to let everyone know that this post was boosted eight times 48 minutes after posting which is a lot. Kbin represent!
I honestly don't think I can confidently define if/when there was a shift in morality on this topic.
Has anyone tried installing barends upside down on a MTB to achieve a more aerodynamic position? [\#cycling](https://kbin.social/tag/cycling)
