She has made many appearances on the TWiT network over the years. Always interesting to hear what she had to say. Hopefully she finds somewhere supportive to continue her work.

It’s a built-in card, as of 2023.11. On my instance, it’s listed below the Vertical Stack card.

You’re welcome. Pretty cool features with to-do lists now, and the conditional card got some nice updates as well.

Per the release notes for 2023.11, Shopping Lists have become To-Do Lists and the card has been renamed to To-Do List Card.

Looking forward to the day when I use Darktrace’s AI threat detection to stop ChatGPT’s AI generated threats…

Same device, same issue. I feel like I barely touch it and it refreshes. Loving the app so far!

I’m pretty liberal but I work for a construction company with a lot of very conservative people, and my father and his family are catholic and very conservative as well. I regularly interact with a lot of people that share vastly different views.

I get it. Just have to be careful about the language we use when we want to change minds.

I’m an atheist. I disagree that this is about intelligence… I think it’s more about ignorance. This is an important distinction and I think it’s more harmful to our cause to demean them the same way they might do to marginalized groups.
A lot of people have trouble empathizing with those in marginalized groups because they don’t have anyone close to them that is affected by their hateful ways of thinking. Often, just having a family member or friend come out to them is enough to open their mind. I think that most of the time, these people just lack the information (emotionally) necessary to understand harmful their beliefs have been. Years of indoctrination make it so much harder to overcome, but indoctrination doesn’t necessarily mean they lack intelligence. I think the words we use are important tools in changing minds.

Switched a year ago and never looked back. I was using ddg before that. Highly recommended. Being able to block and rank sites is great. You can also setup redirects and there’s a quick link to the Internet Archive for every link too.

It’s interesting how is response did not address the numerous clips of his staff asking for more time to make videos, to slow down, or the worst one (imo), where David said he’s, “rarely proud of what I create”.

Thanks for the info about the DeckyLoader plugin and the suggestion to not require login from sleep. I think that’s a good compromise, meaning my computer will lock if powered off or rebooted, but not from just sleeping.

This seems to work ok. Thanks!
Hey Steam Deck community. I’m hoping that I can get some help from the community. 1. Is it possible to unlock my Windows PC remotely? I currently run Home Assistant, and have WOL setup so I can easily wake it, but without logging in, I can’t stream to my Steam Deck. Is there any way around that? I am not willing to remove the login password from my PC. This is the main thing I want to solve. 2. Should stream via Steam or is there a better option? Moonlight? 3. When you stop streaming from the deck, what happens to the game on the PC? Does it stop running? Thanks in advance!

I have logged an issue here > https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/issues/17413.
After rebuilding my dashboard, I have created a bunch of subviews for the rooms in my house. Since doing this, I now have these arrows appearing when I open the app. Tapping the arrows makes them disappear. I’m see this in the mobile app and in Safari on my Mac. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this, what the reason for it is, and if there is any way to fix/stop it.

I added a triple back tap to open Spotlight, which sort of solves for this, but is still as fast as a Control Center option would be.

This is a great idea as well.

I do this too, but sometimes I need/want to run a Shortcut while using another app, which isn’t related to the app I’m running, so the Share Sheet isn’t relevant.
Anyone else think this would be useful? Sometimes it isn’t convenient to use Siri to trigger a Shortcut and I think Control Center would be a great place to be able to do this. Just like we can make a Shortcut available on Apple Watch, we could have a checkbox to make it show in a new Control Center menu.

Seems strange that you could remove 2FA without being forced to authenticate via 2FA first.

In my view, I think I would seriously question anyone that suggests using Google products for business.

I was already on the way to it but Stadia was the thing that finally pushed me all the way out of Google services. I wouldn’t invest any time into any of their products at this point. Especially on the business side, I just can’t fathom choosing Google for anything.

Is there a way to get backup codes? I enabled 2FA, but I don’t see anywhere to generate them.

I use Reeder as well, with my feeds coming from Feedbin. Reeder has an option to use iCloud to hold & sync feeds across your devices, but I haven’t had good luck with that.
