More than I'd be willing to pay. I'd be happy at $30k for this, but if $55k didn't make it who do they imagine it's the customer?

Howdy folks, Thought I'd share a tool I use when buying or selling a used car. It's not the only tool to use but I think it's a useful data point. Plus I like looking at the charts and seeing how much our cars have depreciated. But I'm a data nerd, don't judge me too harshly!

No joke, I thought this was a photograph. Amazing work! The touch of green is on point.
They cause havoc, wreck plans, make life just difficult. They frequently disguise themselves as one of us to get to otherwise inaccessible places to cause chaos. And until now nobody has been able to reliably detect them. But you found all monsters when making a PB & J sandwich put the J on top of the PB instead of on two separate slices of bread before eating.

I saw a YouTube short where the artist built a brush to quickly make books on a book shelf. I thought I'd give it a go and it became this. I'm particularly proud of how the book shelf turned out!

I spent most of yesterday on this. I went to add a background and was out of layers on my phone. So imagine one for me instead.

The Ford GT makes a pretty good argument though. The sound very much has a lot to do with the experience and even it's V6 is a bit sad.

Thank you for taking the time to type this whole thing out! I thought I knew everything but I clearly only knew the GN takedown piece, wow.
Before I die of old age, I might eventually be brave enough to try something like this and stop paying people to do it. Probably not.

I hope that's the end result. GM was been busted for selling telemetry to data brokers and that data ended up in the hands of insurance companies causing rates to go up.
While not the same thing or the same company, at this point I have trust issues.

I'm not sure how to cross post so I'm trying it this way. But yeah this is terrible...
There is a competition called the 24 hours of lemons, where the car has to cost $500 or less outside of safety equipment. Getting a car for that price is near impossible unless it's totally crashed out but when I was young $500 specials would run for years without much issue. Car costs are nuts these days.
Cars of this age just seem to look better with age. This one is particularly gorgeous to me.
Gorgeous vehicle that's very well done. My favorite part is that they kept the original shifter, that hits the nostalgia button for me! I can almost hear it shifting in my head right now.
My dad owned multiple Nova's as a kid. There were plenty with lifted rear ends and blowers sticking out of the hood. But ours you had to lean forward to get decent acceleration. I still loved the lines of those cars and this one is no different! Spectacular.

Andorra has been up to something...
97 years ago Bugatti was turning out supercharged sports cars... what? I just thought this was a car company that started in the 70s... The more you know.
When I find myself at car shows I mostly just want to see the old rare sports cars like this. I dream of daily driving it, knowing my old man back won't be able to handle it. But I can dream right?
Set aside that Maseratis are unreliable, lose value about as fast if not faster than any other car brand, or their looks age poorly and look dated in less than a decade, or are way way out of my budget when they first come out, I still want the new ones every time I see them! And this one is no different.
I just want to see and hear it just once, and maybe drive the crap out of it on track until they demand their car back.
Ohhh yes! Look, I'm not an EV enthusiast but this car might change my mind. I love the way it looks from every angle. Just needs a trapper keeper background to complete the look.
When a safety car needs a safety car!
I had no idea this type of valve was a thing. Interesting to learn a little about. Maybe something like this would make electrically controlled variable timing more viable and thus improve the efficiency of ICEs?
I like the way the glasses turned out. I did an over paint of a photo taken during a family outing and threw some lines on it to help it match. Not sure I like how the background turned out but I need to stretch myself.
AI driving real race cars, and just as much of a mess as you think it would be lol!
Feet in the sand, on a dock, in a boat, or wherever relaxation happens best for you at dusk.
I've struggled with the rear end of the C8, it's just too busy on every trim. This rear end looks fantastic. I'm not sure about the rest yet but the rear end is an improvement to me.
Into a sand storm!
Making the track day video got me all excited for my car. So I drew this, not exactly a selfie--I'm old and have a beard--but it gets the job done.
Howdy, I finally took the time to make a one lap video with no identifiers of myself or other drivers. My lap time was 2:31, in the simulator I can get a 2:07 in the same car so I left a lot out on the track. In the sim there is no break fade and on track I could get 2 or 3 really hard breaking zones before I'd start to experience fade. My fastest lap on the day was a 2:19 mostly due to the break fade. I have good video of it but the audio is just wind, and the only laps I did with the GoPro on the rear of my car for good sound were pretty casual laps. So I took a casual lap and paired it with the audio. I'm going back in September for my last outing of the year most likely, then likely working on better breaks and cooling system as I could only get about 5 laps full out before I had heat soak issues and needed to pull into the cold pit to let the car cool off. Fantastic track, quite technical. I put about 150 laps in the simulator before I went out and I'm glad I did. While there is pretty much nothing to hit, a few off camber turns and a few late apex turns would have thrown me into the weeds otherwise.
I only know this character from the MCU, I hope there's more!
That cold open though!
Still trying to work on the female form in my style. Another attempt, after I did the outline I felt it looked like Domino. So that's how I finished it.
Inspired by Cashmaggot's exceptional line work I did something not within my normal style. What do you think? I can't stop looking at it myself.
Until this video I'd never heard of a scotch yoke engine. I know this is car enthusiast not engine enthusiast or engineering enthusiast so I'm not sure if anyone else will like this. But I sure do!
I've never been able to really do the female form in my style. I'm trying again, thoughts? ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/5e31a280-5607-4e1f-8d43-6a6a78b013a1.jpeg) ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/c89864de-2722-43e4-ac46-b4a1d0a6c2e0.png)

They are supposed to be an absolute riot on the track! ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/d980dc3d-72a1-40bd-bb59-d623c6e223e8.jpeg) They're both gorgeous! I would have loved to hear them rev the engines just once.
As a former owner of a 370Z I want this car to be better. It looks the part, but it's performance at that price just doesn't make sense to me. For this price I can get a used C7 Z06 (with not so desirable milage) which will be a lot more fun and based on my ownership of the 370Z, more reliable too.
@cashmaggot reached out to do a collaboration together. I can't stop staring at the line work in Nightcrawler, particularly the hair. I had so much fun doing this I can't wait to get another opportunity! And mostly I think I made a new friend!! (Not trying to be too forward and all)
