Cool!! I'll bookmark this!
Hi! I learned about AppArmor recently and I am setting up profiles for each of my applications on my server, but I'm not sure if I should also restrict python binary executable in local python environment for my django website, because AppArmor says: "is currently marked as a program that should not have its own profile.". Chat GPT says I should activate the environment, bypass the warning and create a profile, but I'm not sure, so I decided to ask if anyone knows better.

Oh, thanks for the info! 🤜🤛 Rovaniemi sounds like something my gf would be interested in, I'll look into it.

Uuu, thanks for the geocaching idea! I will deffo visit Helsinki, but I can go anywhere. What's the difference between Levi and Helsinki? :D
Hi! Can anyone suggest cool places to go and fun things to do in Finland for a tourist that doesn't like museums, historical buildings, etc, but is more interested in shopping, food, bars and fun physical activities? I'm visiting Finland in March for a week and I am trying to make plans how to spend time there and I decided that it could be better to ask people that probably know better, because I don't know anything about Finland and internet just suggests things that seem boring to me. 😅
When I first opened Firefox after installing, I configured all the settings for myself. And I unchecked >Always check if Firefox is your default browser. It checked it back on by itself and now I can't uncheck it! It's grayed out. ![](https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/b4016f36-7b32-4164-b4bc-f6fb8db23e9a.png)

I’ve always thought that FAT bikes are impractical in not just urban envirinment, but also on dirt roads and they’re only good for riding on snow and sand.

Wtf? I tried to vote, but it said “You can’t vote anymore”. I hadn’t voted before.

I have the same thing and I love that I can get so hyped and passionate about so many different things, the downside is that I never finish anything, because a next big thing comes and I lose interest, but at least I am never bored or don’t have new goals to achieve. I think it could be ADHD.

I personally don’t. I like the occasional updates about reddit.

It is, but I prefer installing and running software locally without ads. :)

I mostly use photoshop to remove objects from photos, place in images rendered with blender and retouch them to look like they were part of the photo, I think Darktabke doesn’t have tools similar to healing brush and patch tools in photoshop. Although photoshop is working perfectly so far, it would be nice to find a native application that is up to the task. I haven’t really tried hard to look for linux alternative that can do that.
EDIT:
Wait, I just looked into it and there are such tools! Thank you for suggestion! I might try it!

Wine was the first and only one I tried! I think it’s the most popular choice, haven’t really looked into others. Are there better options?

I didn't even know about Affinity. Had to google. Their software looks really cool and capable, something I would actually buy if it ran on linux.

Why is Hitfilm on the list? I think they are only available on Mac OS and Windows.

That’s crazy! I’m paying 18 EUR a month for unlimited 1000 mbps download and 1000 mbps upload and I thought my bill was high. 😲
Oh. You were talking about mobile data. That’s still extremely expensive.

I decided to go with Da Vinci Resolve for video editing and I might migrate to something to replace Lightroom in future, can't now, because I have all my Lightroom catalogues at work.

Ubuntu 23.04, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti and AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor.

I am on Ubuntu and I have an AMD processor.
Here are the steps:
If your system is 64 bit, enable 32 bit architecture (if you haven't already):
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
Download and add the repository key:
sudo mkdir -pm755 /etc/apt/keyrings sudo wget -O /etc/apt/keyrings/winehq-archive.key https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/winehq.key
Select your Ubuntu version and download the WineHQ sources file:
For Ubuntu 23.04 (Lunar Lobster):
sudo wget -NP /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/dists/lunar/winehq-lunar.sources
Update the package information:
sudo apt update
Install one of the following packages:
Stable branch:
sudo apt install --install-recommends winehq-stable
I also changed wine to windows 10 compatability mode with a command which opens a window where I selected the option:
winecfg
Then I just ran adobe installers with Wine by double clicking them and installed everything with no problem except After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Photoshop: https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=12019334
Lightroom: https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=12022938
Illustrator: https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=12021637
I haven't tested fully, but everything seemed to work when I was poking around.

That’s handy! Thanks. As for photoshop though, I use it daily at work and I rely on specific tools that I couldn’t find on any other software out there.

Thank you for tips! I don’t know where to find a patch that matches the jacket’s leather. What if Put something like an embroidered patch over it? Or better just try and find a similar material to glue it together instead?

Just go around, as a cyclist you have to learn to face many obsticles and find ways to evade them. Do a bunny hop over it, or maybe if the road is clear, go around on the road, or go around on the sidewalk not disturbing people or just quickly dismount.

I do. I’m fine, but I don’t turn up the volume so much, that I can’t hear surroundings. I can recommend using those earphones, that hang from the ear, not thise with rubber tips, that go inside your ear canal. Try it out and see how you feel riding with music yourself!

I would say, it depends on you mostly. How you’re riding, how much you follow traffic rules and pay attention. And I think, that you can ride almost anywhere and it would be fine, if you know what you’re doing and are confident enough. If you look at those crazy messengers on fixies, riding in NY on youtube. They’ve learned to be very aware of surroundings and they can predict what’s going to happen 3 steps ahead and they don’t even follow traffic rules at all, they seem fine. But of course accidents can happen to enyone.

I carry around multiple iPod shuffles with different playlists/albums on each.
I’ve been learning guitar for a while now. and currently my teacher is teaching me blues improvisation, i can play pentatonic scales in every mode, but I still don’t know what note is on what fret. I’ve brought that up a couple of times to my teacher, but it seems that it’s not really that important, should I try and learn where each note is or will I just naturally learn with time? I think if I knew where each note is, it would help me improvise better and not rely on just scale patterns.

I tried Django at the beginning, it is very nice and I will most likely use it if I need to build a professional website, I wanted to understand and learn better how it all works and for my personal not serious website it was a perfect opportunity, so I started messing around and testing without a framework. Coding my own back-end is very fun for me and I’m learning a ton this way. Currently I am making an authentication system where if a client is not authenticated, it will get redirected to a login page where a code is displayed and a user has to send that code to my server’s whatsapp. Once the server validates the matching code from whatsapp, it will authorise the client and redirect back to the original requested page. This system will be perfect for me and my friends to access my website!

Yes! Coding it is a blast! I started it just to better understand how all the HTTP communications work and I love customising my own personalised back-end, implementing new features and improving. I’m so hooked I can’t even sleep at nights, thinking about it.
