Let's begin the book of Habakkuk, once again a short one, with only three chapters.
Here's the first chapter, humans suck, we just won't live together : ‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭1:2‭-‬6‬ :

LORD, how long will I call for help and you not listen ? I cry out to you “Violence !”, but you don’t deliver us.

Why do you show me injustice and look at anguish so that devastation and violence are before me ? There is strife, and conflict abounds.
The Instruction is ineffective.
Justice does not endure because the wicked surround the righteous.
Justice becomes warped.

Look among the nations and watch !
Be astonished and stare because something is happening in your days that you wouldn’t believe even if told.
I am about to rouse the Chaldeans, that bitter and impetuous nation, which travels throughout the earth to possess dwelling places it does not own.

‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭1:12‭-‬17‬ :
LORD, aren’t you ancient, my God, my holy one ? Don’t let us die.
LORD, you put the Chaldean here for judgment.
Rock, you established him as a rebuke.
Your eyes are too pure to look on evil ; you are unable to look at disaster. Why would you look at the treacherous or keep silent when the wicked swallows one who is more righteous ?

You made humans like the fish of the sea, like creeping things with no one to rule over them.
The Chaldean brings all of them up with a fishhook. He drags them away with a net ; he collects them in his fishing net, then he rejoices and celebrates.
Therefore, he sacrifices to his net ; he burns incense to his fishing nets, because due to them his portion grows fat and his food becomes luxurious.
Should he continue to empty his net, and continue to slay nations without sparing them ?

[How many nations have stupidly/uselessly disappeared forever ? Such a waste, we could have helped each other instead, here's the real glory of the victor(s).]

While it's hard to be certain i'm quite sure that ‭‭John‬ ‭3:23‬ is speaking about water in an allegorical way here(, especially considering that Jesus said « unless someone is born of water and the Spirit » only 18 verses prior to this one :
John was baptizing at Aenon near Salem because there was a lot of water there, and people were coming to him and being baptized.

And here's the end of the third chapter : ‭‭John‬ ‭3:27-‬36‬ :
John replied, “No one can receive anything unless it is given from heaven.
You yourselves can testify that I said that I’m not the Christ but that I’m the one sent before him. The groom is the one who is getting married. The friend of the groom stands close by and, when he hears him, is overjoyed at the groom’s voice. Therefore, my joy is now complete. He must increase and I must decrease.
The one who comes from above is above all things.
The one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth.
The one who comes from heaven is above all things. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.
Whoever accepts his testimony confirms that God is true.
The one whom God sent speaks God’s words because God gives the Spirit generously. The Father loves the Son and gives everything into his hands.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.
Whoever doesn’t believe in the Son won’t see life, but the angry judgment of God remains on them.”

[Yeah, i don't get it, of course that Jesus-Christ did his first miracle at a marriage isn't a coincidence, nor that he changed water into wine, but for the rest...
«He testifies to what he has seen and heard» ? When he was in heaven ?
And «won't see life», not «won't have life», i.d.k., the four gospels aren't easy but John's is the most difficult, i see it as the gospel that needs to be read once you understood the previous ones]

Surah 2:58-60 :

And (remember )when We said :
"Enter this town(, Jerusalem), and eat bountifully therein with pleasure and delight wherever you wish, and enter the gate 'in prostration'/'bowing with humility', and say : ‘Forgive us,’ and We shall forgive you your sins, and shall increase (reward )for the good-doers."
But those who did wrong changed the word from that which had been told to them for another, so We sent upon the wrong-doers a punishment from the heaven because of their rebelling against God’s obedience.

And( remember) when Moses asked for water for his people, We said : "Strike the stone with your stick." Then gushed forth therefrom twelve springs. Each (group of )people knew its own place for water.
"Eat and drink of that which God has provided and do not act corruptly, making mischief on the earth."
