This is a thread for discussion about anything. I just want to start it off with some questions! What vapes do you all own and how often do you use each? I have an Arizer EQ, a couple dynavaps and a bb9 for my bong, and a solo 2. Currently I mostly use the solo 2. I haven’t used my EQ in a while. Right now I’m currently more a in bed vape person and I like temp control. If my solo 2 is dead I will use my bb9 with my glass. I haven’t used my actual dynavaps in a while. I use CBG,CBD, and THC. How about you?
Hey so I have one of  I've run into an issue recently where one of the cartridges that I purchased for it doesn't fit properly (the cartridge in question has a flat mouthpiece that is longer than the normal round versions, and when you screw it all the way in it doesn't line up exactly flat to allow the case to fit over it). That's disappointing. I didn't realize this would even be an issue or something that I should have to look out for. It still works (mostly), but I think I'm also getting a lot of air in the draw as well which definitely affects the quality/useability. So, all that being said, I think I'd like to get something that's a bit better quality and possibly more universal design. I like the pocket-able design of the current model and the fact that it's discreet. So, I'd just like to know what are some of your favorite models like this or what's the next step up in quality. Thanks! Also, USB-C please!
From what I understand, decarboxylation is the key to making Fly Agaric safe and hallucinogenic, and given vaping decarbs cannabis, I figure it might do the same.

HLT (HighLighter/HighLightTED) is a little DIY vape I helped design back in 2021. Uses a halogen bulb for heat and boro beads as a heat sink. The wood outer is an Amazon pepper grinder. Was a fun project and it still punches just below a ball vape.
I've been trying to help kick start this community off. This is my first time really posting, I was always a lurker. I was trying to think of things I could post about daily and was planning to do an in-depth series of guides on ball vapes(which I will continue to generate). The problem I have with that is ball vapes are still very new, with them still pretty early in development there many dents to hammer out. They don't appeal to everyone and it's 100% understandable, I was turned off by the complexity when I first saw them and pretty much wrote them off (glad I looked back into them though). So I wanted to try to throw posts up on a variety of dry herb vaporizering topics, this one will appeal to people who want a heavy hitter ball vape adjacent device without any of the downsides of ball vapes. The Vapor Brothers VB1.5 **I DON'T OWN THIS DEVICE** **At a Glance** + Easy setup, plug-N-play whip desktop vape +Safe, very shielded from burning anything + Pure convective heating +Can leave on all day + Reliability, vapor brothers has been around forever and make a good product +3 ball materials (zirconia, alumina, or boro glass) and 2 ball size options 3 or 4mm +Can retrofit VB1.0 -Hits very hard but not as hard as a ball vape -once you select your material it doesn't look easy to change it out -Can't set exact temp, uses dial instead -Can't have a portable head, will be entirely desktop This is basically just the OG Vapor Brothers desktop but they changed the steam to include balls that you choose (see above for materials/size) so it seems like a hybrid ball vape/desktop device. Reviews seem solid, people report it hits almost as hard as ball vapes. This seems like a great middle ground bridging desktop and ball vapes, unlike ball vapes though this is a plug and play device with little to no safety concerns comparatively. It looks like you can pick them up for around $300 depending on what you choose, not a bad price point imo. You could get cheaper ballers but you could also get way more expensive ones. They can also retrofit an old VB1.0 and convert it to the VB1.5 for $125 which I thought was pretty neat. I don't think the stems/balls can be easily changed out but I could be dead wrong on that and of course no things that are for ball vapes will work with this. An absolute beast of a vape. Especially considering the lack of wires which basically just lets me carry it around my apartment very easily. I love it.
I saw this picture of the internal heating elements of the mighty. I hadn't seen it before so I wanted to share! Pretty neat: you can see the thermocouple in the bottom left of the heating chamber to track temp, the air path spirals up the element picking up convective heat, and you can see the hottest spot is in contact with the herb bowl which gives it the conductive heating. Superbly designed device!
I cleaned my glass for the weekend (ignore down stem haha) and wanted to share a picture of my daily driver setup! Just a TM2, glass bowl with 14mm connector, and an Orb water piece. I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend!
So I've used portables for years and desktops a few times. The last couple years I've kept reading about ball vapes and they sounded cool but honestly I got intimidated and stopped looking into it. There are so many options and components and you have to worry about compatibility etc.... Well I hope to make a series of posts addressing all of this to help other people be more comfortable approaching getting a ball vape! **At a glance, what is a ball vape?** Simply put a ball vape heats up an e-nail, that then heats up a metal or glass housing, that houses hundreds of 2-4mm balls (where the name comes from). These balls are made from materials that have good heat retention properties, silicon carbide(SiC), ruby (corundum), alumina, zirconia, and many more. These balls heat up as well and when you draw air though the balls the air heats up and passes though the herb vaporizering it. **What's the benefits?** The reason small 2-4mm balls or jewels(lil diamond shapes) are used is because they have a large surface area compared to larger (5+mm) shapes and you can get a higher packing density(more balls/volume). This heats the air passing though very uniformly, leading to a much more uniform extraction (less green and black ABV). It also allows for a very open airpath, while being able to maintain temperature. The housing and balls (often referred to as a head assembly) have a huge thermal mass so you can rip the hell out of a ball vape and the heat will keep up! A ball vape offers a one hit extraction from flower, kinda like dabbing flower if that makes sense. There are three main components you need to start a ball vape setup: -PID controller -a coil that is compatible with the PID -a head assembly that fits the above coil and balls The rest is a bowl, bong, and any adapters you want. These depend on injector vs difussion style but that goes past the scope of this post. All of this is just a very general picture of a ball vape written as succinctly as possible. Just a quick guide to help anyone understand some of the differences between conduction and convection vaporizers. Hopefully it helps people make informed decisions on what types of vapes they want! **At a glance**: Convection +More even extraction +Better flavor +Lower combustion risk +Better for on demand large rips +Less stirring needed _______________________________________ Conduction +Larger clouds +Better heat retention +Designs are more compact +Cheaper +Better for long vape session/ sharing _______________________________________ What's the difference? **Conductive** **heating** is heat that is transferred though being in physical contact between solid objects. Thus a conductive vape is a vape where flower is in direct contact with a heat source. By contrast **convective heating** is heat that is transferred though gases. Thus convective heating heats the air that then travels through and heats the flower. Most portables and devices in general are hybrids where some part of the bowl heats up and the air that passes though the herb is heated, the mighty perfect example of a hybrid device. Pure devices exist of course, the Tinymight 2 is purely convection. Pure conduction is a little rarer or at least I haven't personally come across as many pure conduction devices, I believe the starry 4 is a pure conduction portable. *That is not my picture, I got it from the Wikipedia page on heat transfer.
Ahoy hoy! For 4/20 I got a great deal on an arizer XQ2 an was excited to try it out but after 5 sessions I feel like I'm doin somthin wrong as Im getting a lil vapor an some taste but thas about it. Last 2 bowls I used the larger bowl filled at half way, because it's closer to the heat, I'm preheatin for 5-20 minutes, and am startin at 450f, an still is not givin much. I'm not expectin big ol vape juice clouds, but I get more out of my 501 cartridges an the high is not on the same level, any suggestions?
The magic flight introduced me to the world of vaping more then 10 years ago. I was traveling for work alot and it was a great companion. Today I use the Plenty, but most of the time I just handle it like Lebowski.

I have an OG mighty from 2017 and accidentally dropped it the other day, causing one of the shell's tabs to snap and leaving a gap in the body between the pieces which slightly exposes the top of one of the batteries. I've been looking for a replacement shell since the rest of the vaporizer is in great shape, and I just replaced the batteries in it about 18 months ago. I did find a seller on Etsy calle ETNAMAKER who makes replacement shells for the Mighty that have been made out of wood. I haven't been able to find anyone selling a plastic replacement case or even a 3d model that I could print out (no I won't use PLA for it). For now I've added a zip tie to keep the case held together and it's working well. Does anyone have any ideas where I could get a replacement shell for my Mighty so I can get a few more years out of it?
I used to vape with a little Pulsar APX but I got tired of cleaning teeny-tiny threads and screens, and the chamber is a bit small IMO. I picked up a Dynavap this past summer and really liked it, but those hot monster hits were starting to take their toll on my throat so I decided to give the APX another day in court. I gave it a good cleaning and was really liking the flavor and cooler hits, but it’s an old device and still a hassle to clean so I went shopping and landed on the Lobo from POTV. I love this thing! The chamber size is just right, flavor and vapor quality are great, the dosing capsules make cleaning mostly a non-issue, and the glass accessories are pretty nice. Having a swappable battery is a nice bonus too.
I've had an Arizer Solo 2 and I daily a B0 ball vape. Just curious how it compares.
Hello ! I'm new to bubblers. I got a cheap one and it turns my Air Max into a brand new shiny unknown vaporizer. I love it 8D But how do you guys clean this ? Is iso enough ? How do you scrap any potential leftover after an overnight sinking ?

Any small pyrex or ceramic container should work, such as a coffee mug but oven and freezer safe are best. A small brush can be used to get every last bit of ABV out of the ginder. * Heat coconut oil in the microwave (or stove/oven) until it is hot but not scalding, pour over the ABV until it's just barely submerged, do not add this all at once, add a little then stir, add a little more until it's the consistency of a thin batter. * ~~Add soy lecithin granules, about 25% by volume the amount of coconut oil you used. Stir until dissolved.~~ (/u/averyminya strike this because I have read controversy about S.L., but keeps it in for those curious) * Heat for 3 hours on low in the crock pot. * CONTAINER WILL BE HOT using a pot holder or oven mit remove your dish from the crock pot and allow to cool (about 15-20 minutes) then transfer to the freezer for at least 2 hours. Remove from freezer and allow oil to thaw at room temperature (\~30 minutes) pre-heat the crock pot to low at this time again. * Repeat steps 6 through 8 one or two more times for extra potency * Optional: Add 1 drop for every \~2 grams of ABV used of lemongrass oil or hops extract to add Myrcene. Many know of the boosting powers of mangoes, lemongrass oil and hopps extract have the equivalent of about 12 mangoes per drop. * Using a spoon or needleless syringe fill gel capsules, I recommend putting down paper towels or news paper for this as it can be messy * Wipe down the completed capsules to remove excess oil --- ***HOW TO INFUSE 4 + CAPSULES*** MrM0stly pt. 1 Are you asking how to infuse the THC into an oil? That is actually quite easy :) * Throw the oil and the AVB into a crockpot and leave it on warm for as long as you can take (pretty much, the longer the better, but at like 8 hours you could probably consider most of the THC has gone out of the AVB and into the oil). * Coconut oil is better, in my opinion, because it is more shelf-stable than butter (unless you use clarified butter). * You will have to play around with how much AVB to oil ratio you want to use. More avb, more potent, more oil, less potent. I have made some so potent that I can just eat a teaspoon and feel good for hours. I prefer more potent vs. less potent, because you can always dilute later with more coconut oil. THC is oil-soluble, so it will extract wonderfully into oil, not so wonderfully into water. And by extracting, you don't have to eat the bud. You just eat the oil containing the THC (you strain the bud out at the end of the crock pot cycle). * Some people like to add the bud and oil to boiling water, which works faster, but is more dangerous (if the water boils off then the oil will get REALLY hot and burn the bud and destroy the THC). * You could also put the oil and bud in an oven-safe container and leave the oven on low for many hours, taking it out to stir occasionally. You could do this if you do not have a crock pot. * Yet another method is to make a ""double boiler."" This is when you have a pot full of boiling water, and above it you rest another container (like a pyrex bowl) and add the bud and oil. This way it gets hot and begins to infuse, but if the water boils off the double boiler, you don't risk burning up your bud. Worst case, the pot that is actually touching the burner might get warped or blackened. pt. 2 - Oh, you don't need a machine. That just makes it a lot easier! That will take heat, and time. But even if you don't get to it for a few weeks, at least the infusion will be slowly taking place! ***CREATIVE ALTERNATIVE HEATING METHODS*** * You could get creative though! I have a heat pad that you can sit on, or put on parts of your body if your muscles hurt. It is not suspicious at all, but you could set your jar of oil and AVB on top of that and leave it running in your bedroom for hours. It won't get as hot as a crock pot, but, time is on your side... you could just keep it on whenever you are home, for days, or weeks! At some point, most of the THC will leave the AVB and saturate the coconut oil. * Then it is time to strain it. Make sure you really press/squeeze out the AVB -- it will have a lot of oil in it, which you don't want to waste! You can even save that AVB after extraction by putting it in the freezer. * At some point when you make your next batch, you could add that to it because surely there will be trace amounts of THC left... --- ***MILKSHAKE*** mix the abv and nutella together then throw it in the oven for 22 min at 230F. Then make it into a milkshake. --- ***Biscuits*** Pretty easy; mix 1 cup bisquick, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2-1/3 cup abv, bake for 12-15 min at 350. It makes two or three good sized biscuits that are pretty good cut in half with over-easy eggs on top and a little maple syrup. --- ***AVB COFFEE*** What you will need: * French Press - You can find these on amazon or a lot of other places these days. It is a method of coffee making where the grounds are steeped in water to extract the flavor rather then your traditional drip coffee maker. It is then pressed down with a mesh screen which further extracts flavor. This is the perfect tool for the job. * Whole Milk - higher fat content but I am sure it would work with 2% * Coffee - 3-4 Tablespoons depending on how strong you want your coffee * ABV - 2-4 teaspoons. I tend to keep it how it is out of the vaporizer. Grinding it up further could get stuck in the screen or just go right through and end up in your coffee cup... GROSS * Water - DUH... * Tea kettle - used to heat water just off boil. ***STEPS*** * Put the water on to boil * Empty your ABV into a small microwave safe dish * Cover ABV with the milk. Just to cover and enough room in the dish to mix. * Place ABV milk mixture into microwave for 30 seconds 70% power. * Add your coffee grounds to the bottom of your french press. * When the water just off boil add your ABV/Milk mixture to the french press with a little water from the kettle. Give a quick stir. * Add remaining water from kettle and give another quick stir. * Place lid on the french press and set your timer for 4 minutes. * When the timer goes off slower plunge the screen to the bottom of the french press. Keep aware that there is more material to push down then a normal mornings coffee so don't rush it. I find this little thing makes a big difference. * ***Enjoy***.. This will get me about 2, big coffee cups worth. I feel it start to kick in within 15 minutes. usually and hour after I finish both cups I start to feel my muscles all loosen up so that I can stretch and start my day. Pain in non-existent and I have a pretty decent head buzz going on. --- ***BROWNIES*** [nuts are probably optional, but they do have oils so potency mileage may vary, but that's to be expected](http://imgur.com/a/TcFRL) --- ***Chocolate*** melted down some chocolate and mixed in about 10 grams in it and we each ate half. We couldn't move for 12 hours --- ***ABV Milk Ice cubes*** /u/RedSteppa does the following: I'd throw it into (hot) whole milk with cacao on a stove for about 45 mins. Don't boil. Just keep it hot enough that you see steam rising up. Stir often. After 45 mins...strain out the abv. Let the milk cool a bit. (Optional step: Drink some) Fill it into ice cube bags and put it in the freezer. You'll now have ABV-Milk on demand. Just take out the desired number of milk-ice-cubes and thaw them in a glass. --- ***AVB Lotion/Salve*** 2 cups AVB Infused coconut oil 1/2 cup olive oil 2/3 cup beeswax (pellets seem to work best) Essential Oils to your liking A double boiler * Combine infused coconut oil, olive oil and pellets in double boiler. * Mix until melted * Add in essential oils * Let cool slightly and then whisk for 1 minute * Transfer to your container, let cool and enjoy! * **Thanks to the Chronosseur on YT**

I have a mini shower head diffuser bong, and it's alright, but I heard a recyclers is better at preserving flavor. Does anyone have suggestions for where to find a good looking recycler for dry herb vaping that doesn't break the bank?
Been using the Brilliant Cut Grinder as my main driver recently.
So I've handled quite a few vaporizers in my time (lost count after a few dozen lol). I was excited to get this device for a few reasons including a few new aftermarket accessories which will be on the market soon. I've only handled the device a few times so these are initial impressions: Pros: * Nice heft in the hands - feels solid enough construction for the price. But that's expected from the manufacturer. * Flat base - unlike my HealthyRips Rogue which has rounded sides, this device has a flat base so it sits flush on a surface making it more stable (especially with the watertool attached) * Massive oven - this oven is larger than the Rogue (which is a decent size already)- it's just a smidge smaller in diameter than the S&B Dosing Capsules (maybe two or three millimeters smaller) * Removable 18650 battery - FINALLY!! Yes these batteries are not quite as reliable as the older LiPoly batteries they had been using in older models, but finally we have the ability to swap out batteries when you wear out a battery after 100 hours of use - it's also nice to easily swap out batteries with a precharged battery before heading out. Big win for sustainability over sealed-in batteries * USB-C charging - always a win. Now I can use one charger to charge both phone, and vaporizer, as well as any spare 18650 batteries I have with me (no need to lug around my Nitecore D2 on short road trips) * Love the upgraded slide mouthpiece. The older pop-in design used by the Rogue felt satisfying, but it was not durable and always wore-out on customers after heavy use. This new slide-in mouthpiece makes the device far more durable - I also like the added magnets for things to snap together * Glass mouthpiece - always a nice touch. Plus you can use other tools which slide into the same mouthpiece - including my old HealthyRips "water tool" inline vertical waterpipe which is pretty awesome for vaporbonging on vacation! * Fast enough heatup - from a cold start to 350F it took about 45 seconds. Seems like the temperature sensor is measuring a different spot, not exactly on the heater itself - possibly in the air chamber above the heater.. Just based on how I've seen it heatup compared to other devices made by the same manufacturer (including the rogue) Cons: * No pass-through charging. Not entirely unsurprising, but you cannot charge the device while using it. The workaround is simple: buy a few spare batteries and recharge them * Short Auto-off timer - feels like the unit always shuts off too fast. I wish it had a 7.5 or 10 minute timer - or the ability to disable it (maybe there is and I haven't RTFM to find out haha) * Minimum temperature of 320F - that's a bit high for me personally. I wish they had set it to a minimum of 300F * Draw restriction - feels a bit restricted which isn't terrible (and likely intentional), but I would have preferred a bit more As other's have said, it's an upgraded HealthyRips Rogue and that's a fair assessment - it has some good upgrades (especially the swappable 18650 battery slot) which makes it a fair more durable and sustainable device. Now to get back to some more R&D so I can finalize some new widgets! --
Also if you wanna know anything about this vape, ama. Been using it a lot over the last couple weeks since I got it and have dialed my technique in pretty consistently at this point.
My humble start to vaping. I outgrew this device pretty quickly, but it's not bad for $100, and it showed me a better world than combustion. And for that, I'm thankful.
I own 3 grinders, a cheapo off Etsy that's inefficient and gets gunked up quickly, a BCG and. Flower Mill. To my own surprise, I end up using the Flower Mill the most. I bought it because I was skeptical. I'm gonna be honest. The feeling you get from the Flower Mill when the magnet gentle pulls the flower in as you roll it around os EXTREMELY satisfying. Endorphin rush. BCG is a champ obviously and can cut through anything, but it's ripping your herb vs rolling. I haven't don't any bro science experiments to see while smokes better. I imagine with less of a fine grind I'm missing out on a little, but it is worth it.
Mighty+ is a great session vape if you want to kill a few bowls back to back while watching a video or something. I usually use it with type 3 and 4 bud. Glass mouthpiece from Vgoodiez.
TM2 with a GVB J hook stem with a vgoodiez mouthpiece. Cools extremely well, and makes me feel like Gandalf. Only complaint is that it gets hot at the bend, but that's expected. The real G move would be a U hook, but I don't know if I'm that showy. 
   Have had a few sessions with it so far, I love how well the ceramic holds the heat, and I was surprised by how well the stock cooling worked. It's the only vape in my collection I currently prefer to hit dry. It is a smaller form factor than my TM2, but can deliver just as much of a punch. However, I'm not sure my technique is quite right yet, because I'm ripping through battery a lot faster with the Firewood than the tinymight. The wood adds a slight flavor, but it's complementary, and I enjoy it. The capsules are okay, not as easy to manage as some other vapes, but does make my loading/unloading ritual a little easier. There is a new bowl option I may try when the parts become available again. TM2 is still my primary DD, but this vape fills a specific niche and makes for a great show piece.
Dani Fusion just got in, pictured with a Dyna to show the form factor, since most people will be familiar with that. First impressions: It arrived dirty af. Had to clean it thoroughly and particularly scrub the cap with baking soda + vinegar for a while to get it looking good, so that was a bit disappointing. Heating to the click gives me warm air pretty much. I haven't quite figured it out over my first 2 sessions and only managed to get some visible vapor for one single hit, heating ~5-10s after the click. I might need a bit of a beefier torch for this one to really make it shine? Build quality seems very solid and it looks and feels classy, although if you look closely, you'll see some small machining flaws. The leather case is nice for the metal stem (not pictured), unfortunately it's a bit tight for the wood stem. It's great for taking off the hot cap and lying that down somewhere though and it looks great, so I'm hoping it'll wear out a bit and get looser over time. We'll see. Not sure yet how I like it overall, first sessions weren't great but then again every vape and especially every butane vape has a learning curve and some of the trickier ones to master I grew to love over time. I might come back for a little review once I've used it more extensively :)
Finally got a decent paying job, need to send in my BAKx for repair and my go-to vape shop is having a sale. Enough reasons for me to splurge a bit and add another piece to my collection. Been eyeing the Dani line up for a while now and I'm looking forward to playing around with the Fusion!
As I'm sure many of you can imagine, I have a *lot* of devices in my collection (working and not working, as I sometimes need to test-fit prototypes of custom parts or mods). Heck, a few of my collection have long since been discontinued by this point (Indica vaporizer, Pax1, Grasshopper, VapeXhale Cloud+, Mistvape, etc) Anyway, I'm looking to grab another portable. But I can't keep up with all the new devices. I'm looking more at the popular budget to mid-priced devices. Thinking about grabbing an Xlux Roffu, although I'm open to suggestions. Yes, I know S&B is working on releasing a new portable vaporizer in the near future but I'm not waiting for that to drop. (I already have both a crafty and a mighty in my collection lol).
