The name means "Let's Talk" in Korean and apparently it was a forum which claimed you could talk with actual north Koreans. It also claimed to be affiliated with the DPRK government. The site has also been mentioned on a few youtube channels, such as one called "SunhiPlays" which posts music videos and one just called "Yaegihaja" which uploaded a DPRK movie. Apparently the URL used to be [yaegihaja.com]() but the website is now shut down and the Wayback Machine's latest snapshot of the website is from April 2022, only showing the home page. Such a place existing is so bizarre and I can't find more information on what it actually was. Her previous one was blocked by YouTube. If you're not familiar: she lives in Pyongyang and she posts videos about daily life in DPRK as well as special occasions. It's very interesting, and I encourage you to subscribe to her new channel.

Like the title says. I watched it quite a while ago, it essentially amounted to a showing of us news footage with narration explaining what's happening. Can't find it again amidst the tidal wave of garbage reactionary propaganda videos you get searching using the words "dprk" and "documentary". Anyone have a clue what I'm talking about? Sorry if this isn't the best place to post this, just jumped ship from reddit to lemmy.

Hey all, I just watched a cool family movie from the DPRK, and I had to share it here because nobody else cared haha. Personally, it was an incredible experience. First, just by itself it's a cool and wholesome film about a badass female comrade in the DPRK. Second, it was refreshing to peer into the (albeit scripted) lives of the people. And third, it helped deconstruct my subconscious liberal assumptions about them. Despite a vastly different culture (e.g. trusting and generous to strangers, coequal friendly workplace management), the movie was accessible and engaging. No more spoilers, because I genuinely encourage you to watch it (link in the post title). Have any of you seen DPRK productions before?
