Google Calendar of all Ducks games https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0?cid=ZDA0MDA3Y2U2M2IzN2Q2NmE0YmJiODZkNzljMzhhNjVmYzJhYmQ4NjE5MDVhNDZlNjI3MjdkYjg0MWQ4ZGRkOUBncm91cC5jYWxlbmRhci5nb29nbGUuY29t

I thought I would share my Google Calendar that I update each season for all Ducks games. I don't like using third-party services that abuse access to my private calendar events, so I maintain my own calendar. I usually don't update individual reschedules, but I may update once or twice through the season if there are several schedule changes.

Ducks unveil new jersey ad sponsor - thanks, I hate it... www.nhl.com

I'm wondering where the C and A goes now. Kinda ruins the 30th anniversary threads IMO. *shrug*

Five NHL teams that can weaponize cap space and the trade assets they could target - Harman Dayal | theathletic.com

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/367124 > cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/302076 > > > Cap space is king in the NHL right now. > > > > Many teams are hamstrung by the lack of it. Others have an abundance and will try to exploit it for unique opportunities. > > > > One type of summer trade that’s become popular during the flat cap era is when a win-now team will dump a bad short-term contract to a club with ample cap flexibility. It gives a contender the financial wiggle room necessary to build the best team possible, meanwhile, the rebuilding club is happy to receive premium draft picks and prospects, not bothered by taking on a problematic short-term contract. Third-party brokers — teams that retain a percentage of a player’s contract to help two other clubs work out a trade — have also exploded in popularity. > > > > Which teams could be in the market to weaponize cap space for future assets this offseason? Thoughts on Gibby's possible exit www.yardbarker.com

I guess I'm on the fence. I want to see him behind a solid team that can compete. I hate to think he wasted his prime carrying a defunct team through season after season. On the other hand, I hate to admit defeat and let him go. It feels like we'd be submitting to several more shitty seasons, but then again, maybe we're kidding ourselves if we don't see that coming anyway.

Interesting review of the Andersen trade thehockeywriters.com

IMO it's too early to say for sure, but Freddy has certainly made me wonder if we went the right way on that trade several times in the past few years.
