Ah, never occurred to me that was the issue. Appreciate the feature if possible. Thanks

Yes, that same line but before each top comment on a post. Like this:
Hi, can you add a setting to show a separator line before a top comment? Thanks!

Why no one's talking about the math? Monthly expenses add to $49,000 times 12 equal $588,000 per year. That's clearly not $300,000 and not even earning $400,000 gets you to the end of the year.
Hi, Lemmy.ninja has been unaccessible since yesterday. Anyone know why?

No, it hasn't been implemented yet unfortunately...
Title. If I use Sync without an account it works just fine every time, but once I log in, if I close the app and open it again it'll just crash all the time. Thanks

It's crashing for me after I open the app a second time :(

Well I really hope this is real then and more importantly it translates to cheap, clean energy

Thanks for the explanation. So, this means we are another step closer to quantum computers for example?
I'm trying to grasp on this concept and how we could see this in our daily lives. Better batteries? I thought about that because they get hot when charging but not sure if it's because of the resistance. Going into standard circuits means we'll have better SoCs? better integrated circuits? Faster computers or phones?
Im trying to think about a daily life application but maybe it won't have a direct impact on that area, maybe it's more about facilitating research that will eventually turn into daily life stuff?

Can someone explain in lay terms why this is relevant? I read somewhere that it was considered as important as the invention of the transistor but didn't catch why.

Thanks! I'll check them out.
Title. Looking for the megathread of FOSS apps that used to be on the other site, can't find it anymore. Any suggestions? Thanks
Hi. I think I found a bug. I just updated to v1.0 and noticed the home page is set to "All", also that was the only bookmark there. So I added "Subscribed" as a bookmark and then set it as home page. So my bookmarks now show "Subscribed" twice. Thanks. Forgot to add, the option to remove the bookmark is gone. ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/69164e7a-a85c-4a36-8cd6-76bbbae2fdb9.jpeg)

Great release! I noticed the subscription filter is there, thank you!
Hi. I'm subscribed to many many communities so navigating the long list could be a little complicated. Can you add a filter field on top that can filter my subscribed communities as I type? Thanks!
Hi. The cards view on dark mode works really good with a black background and dark gray cards but on light mode the background is white and the cards are also white so the only difference is the card outline, which is a little bit thin. Can you please improve cards on light mode so it's easier to differentiate a post from the other? Thanks ![PIC](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/3c901969-d3fc-4ea5-b0f5-cf5f4b2b3bce.jpeg)

As long as they don't force M365 accounts to switch, I'm ok. I prefer the native Outlook desktop app than the PWA.

Hi. Thanks for this update.
I wanted to use the classic comment style because the continuous line through all comments but noticed is bugged. I'm using indent 5.

So, what's going on this weekned? I didn't watch FP1, got up to watch FP2 and first thing I see is that Perez crashed on FP1 but what about Max and Lewis? Why they don't have a time in FP1? Then a few minutes into the broadcast, FP2 already started and I see Max on the pitwall like WTF? Why is he not on the track practicing? Someone care to explain what's going on? Thanks!

Great release as usual.
Something I've noticed about the hide posts feature is that after hiding it loads new posts but it doesn't refresh the view or autoscrolls to top so you have a lot of new posts on top of your view and if you don't scroll up you don't even notice.

Summit.
Has basic functionality like marking posts as read after scrolling past them, has a "hide read" option on the FAB button and has a History tab so all hidden posts that you opened will show there. Also, it opens links on custom browser tabs.
I haven't found another app that does all 4. If someone knows please let me know.

I use GBoard but since you asked for favorite, mine is Word Flow, Windows Phone's keyboard. When MS killed Windows Phone they kind of ported it to iOS but never to Android.
The Windows 10 keyboard is very similar to this Word Flow and the closest I've been to recreate it on Android is using RBoard and the Xbox theme but since I don't have a real reason to root I haven't done it again, so I'm just using the regular GBoard. Also, last time I checked (few years ago) the Xbox theme didn't have a dark mode so that's another reason not to use it.
I'd use SwiftKey but they keys are to thin. I've tried using skins like the Surface Duo but still too thin for me.
Another keyboard I liked was TouchPal but I believe was removed from the Play Store for having malware, if I recall correctly.

Sorry I got confused with the setting name and my wording is all wrong now.
I'm talking about this one: https://imgur.com/a/HMLmnpC
So having this enabled should show the post tile on top and then the image below right? It still shows the title at the bottom.
Sorry for the confusion.

Hi. This is a simple suggestion that's not that important but anyway, here it is... I noticed the comment lines RGB (red, green, blue) actually display RBG (red, blue, green). Can you order red, green, blue please? Thanks!
Hi. I set the post view type as cards and enabled the new setting to show full size images. The setting to show post title at the bottom is disabled but titles still show up at the bottom. Can you check it up please? Thanks!

Custom tabs are browser tabs opened "in app", you won't leave Summit when opening a link in a custom tab.
So basically you have 3 options, open "in app" using Android's WebView, open a custom tab using the default browser, or open externally on the default browser.
Custom tabs are in between and the advantage is that you don't leave the app but the tab is created, I think, by the default browser so if using Firefox with uBlock Origin it'll also work on the custom tab.
Title. Can you please add support for 2FA? Thanks!

Hi, can you add custom tabs when opening links please? Thanks! Also, not sure if it's a bug but subscriptions are not refreshed on the left bar when subscribing/unsubscribing. Is there a way to trigger a refresh? One more bug, just found out. I tried posting this using obviously Connect but got an error saying something like it wasn't clear to what community I was posting this even though lemmyconnect @ lemmy.ca was right there in the community field.
Hi, I decided to write this post here and not on any app's community specifically since there are many in development and they are all welcome to take my suggestions. This post is about how I think marking posts as read, hiding read posts and keeping history of posts should be handled. If anyone else have different suggestions please comment below. **Marking Posts as Read** - Mark posts as read when scrolling past them. There should be a toggle in the app's settings to mark posts as read after scrolling past them. - Interacting with a post should mark it as read. Interacting meaning opening the post, voting, commenting, saving it, etc. Note: Sometimes I accidentally tap the user/community so the app takes me to the user profile or community. This shouldn't count as interacting with a post. **Hiding Read Posts** - Lemmy servers (instances) log your read posts and Lemmy has a setting to "Show Read Posts". My suggestion is to keep this setting enabled. - FAB. Please add a FAB to hide read posts. - Hide read posts by default. This is not a setting I personally use but basically since the server is going to feed the apps with read posts when loading (per the setting above), the apps should have a toggle to hide them by default both when opening the app and when manually triggering a refresh of the feed. **History** - History should be kept locally by the app, not the server. If you delete an app but want to keep a post on your history just save it. - Interacting with a post should add it to your history. Since most (if not all) apps are in their early days they sometimes crash unexpectedly and if you have the setting "Show Read Posts" disabled on the server then you can't go back to the post you were reading so, as soon as a post is opened add it to the history and if the app crashes you just open it again and the post should be there on top. These are my suggestions. Let me know what you think. If you are a Lemmy app dev please consider implementing them. Thanks!
