By default the app loads low resolution thumbnails when using mobile data, and higher resolution on wifi. To always load high resolution thumbnails, disable data saver options on "Settings-Data and storage"

The parameters being used changed with some recent Lemmy version. Fixed for the next version!

It is working again, Reddit fixed the issue

If you are a mod you won't get the 429 error

Edit: Working again
Reddit did some change in the API that breaks many apps. As far as I know they are aware of the issue and will fix it. More info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/redditdev/comments/1d3spoc/error_getting_submitted_with_mobile_useragent/

It still works for mods 🤷
I stopped browsing Reddit in July

The Android Youtube plugin does not work anymore, Google has discontinued it, that's why it is disabled even if the setting is checked. I'll remove the setting.
rmayayo 6 months ago • 100%
That setting from Lemmy is not implemented in the app yet.

The app only hides read posts that are loaded on the screen. After pressing hide read, Boost load the next page of posts that might contain read posts too.
If you don't want to see read posts, disable "Show read posts" in your account preferences

Lemmy.world updated to version 0.19.3, you may need a new authentication token for everything to work normal, so please log in again in Boost if you are experiencing problems. Thanks! https://lemmy.world/post/12525192

is there something I have to do personally to get 0.19?
No, just wait. They are updating to 0.19.3 on Saturday
rmayayo 7 months ago • 100%
I believe that's a problem with Lemmy. Boost shows the titles as they are received from the API. I think Lemmy 0.19 fixes that according to this comment: https://lemmy.world/comment/7986943

You may need to enable supported links in Android settings

Did you login again after your instance migrated to Lemmy 0.19?
rmayayo 7 months ago • 100%
Thanks for the info. I've have a flag to control the visibility of the new features for instances that are not in 0.19. I've just enabled them for that instance, it should be available in your app in a couple of hours (or immediately if you clear app data)
Hi Lemmy! I've just uploaded a new version, and this is the changelog: * Mark as read on scroll (Settings-General-Posts). Posts will be marked as read when you scroll past them. Disable *Show read posts* in your *Account Preferences* and you won't see those posts again. Note: In Lemmy, voting, saving or reading comments of a post marks the post as read automatically * Support for animated webp images * Play gifs embedded in comments * *Show context* option when visiting a single comment thread * Fix long comment chains being unreadable * Bug fixes and improvements [![Play Store Link](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/8e154c4a-bd6e-4581-8dbd-5b1e7e726331.png 'Boost for Lemmy download')](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rubenmayayo.lemmy) Thanks for using and contributing to Lemmy via Boost. You have to join the beta from the Play Store listing and a new update will show up.

Or all the app development still in beta and no announcement yet
Exactly, I'll make the announcement when the version moves to production
Disable *Show read posts* in your account preferences and you won't see those posts again. Join the beta from the Play Store listing and give feedback if you test it. Thanks! 🙏

Isn't that just drafts for that comment's reply
That button shows the list of all drafts saved in the app.
I thought Boost saved that because going to reply to the same comment would automatically bring up the draft.
That's also true. When replying to a comment that has a saved draft, it will automatically load the draft.

That data section on the Play Store listing is set by me by filling a questionnaire, and not detected or verified by Google, that's why it says "may". I can change what's shown there anytime.
For example, the app does not havethe Android location permission, I just added that because IP in your requests can be used to detect approximate location. The financial info was added because the app has in-app purchases, but that doesn't mean that your credit card details are shared with third parties.

Thanks for using Boost 🚀🚀😍
No "You may be interested in" suggestions are thrown
Lemmy does not have a "search by topic" feature, but you can open the left side menu, tap communities and browse/search communities by keyword in local/all instances.
No infinite scroll
That's a Lemmy thing. The number of posts received depends on the activity of the communities and the sort being used. The app does have infinite scroll, but until the API stops returning more posts.
