I think uBlock has a feature that’s similar ClearUrls that you can replace

I use both but for different purposes: Signal for group chats and Telegram for channels (news and piracy).
I trust Signal more.

The real response you’re looking for is to use Lockdown Mode. Be warned, it’s the nuclear option of privacy.

Same here, I actually have a much healthier relationship with social media when on Lemmy vs Reddit. That might change as Lemmy grows in user content but for now I’ll enjoy the quieter experience

Hi everyone, With all of the rising subscription prices, I am hoping to get some advice on the best Android device that will allow me to use the greatest number of streaming app (e.g, NewPipe, Stremio, Spotify apk, etc) My nice-to-haves would be a device with a large screen (6.7 inches+), ease of installing apps, and durability. I used to have Samsung phones before which would be super laggy within 3 years of purchase, which I do not get with my current iPhone. I am considering OnePlus and Pixels but am open to any suggestions!

ZenniOptical. My prescription is pretty strong (-6) but they manage to make the lenses pretty thin. I think a usual pair costs me $50 versus $500 at the optician’s store.

My view: Brave browser is a pretty useless Chrome reskin with crypto ads attached. Brave search is a pretty new and exciting alternative to Google.

I wouldn’t share a tear for Meta’s new plaything, they’re gonna have more users on Threads on the first day than the entire Fediverse combined. Apparently they’re not even linking up yet, it’s still on their to-do list?
Hi everyone, about a year ago I was on a website/forum very similar to Reddit's r/scholar where users could post DOI links to scientific articles and others would share the PDF of the text. I'm making this post in the off-chance that someone could jog my memory of what this forum was! Thank you in advance! PS. It was not sci-hub, libgen, or Lemmy
