It's gotta be Penumbra: The Black Plague and Amnesia: The Dark Descent back when I played them 12 years ago. Not many games have created the same amount of tension for me while playing.

I'm so glad Valve did not give in to the tech-number-nerds who want 2K resolution on tiny screens, saves so much battery life.

Sounds like fun. Me and my mate can probably get into this.

Both services use the ActivityPub protocol, so to put it very simply the data format used by both services is the same, they just render it differently on your screen. Then they are pushing/pulling the data for posts and comments from other instances as users request it, e.g. by viewing this lemmy instance through Mastodon.

I'm done fiddling with software and want stuff that works without much hassle. Unraid is super easy, I am in the process of building a home server with it, similar setup to OP.
I plan on moving my media files to the server through my LAN via FreeFileSync.

Usually the only things locked behind an application are custom equalisation, and modifiable earphone buttons. You probably can even uninstall it after you're happy with the above settings.

Fan projects or mods should be never pre-announced, just released once they're ready. Once it's out there the big companies can't stop it.

But I write with my right hand.
But I open jars with my left hand.
But I use the screwdriver with my right hand.
But I eat with the knife on my left hand.
But I play guitar right-handed.

It was my favourite of the bunch, although IMO it should've been two books instead. But I understand he wanted a trilogy, it being the Three Body Problem and all that.
Enjoy the ride!

Big companies avoid risk too much, they want to make revenue, not games. I haven't been interested in any AAA game in some 10 years. They're all just the same open-world, microtransaction-DLC, soon-to-be advertisement platform with uninspired gameplay features.
Independent developers on the other hand are innovating and making cool and fun games.

My friend loves the game but thinks there is nothing to do anymore... I kind of agree with him in a way. We've done the dungeons, we've done the JPs, diving goggles, we've done parts of the story which he doesn't really vibe with. Raiding and Fractals would be dope, but not doable with just 2-3 players.
His biggest issue is probably the "activity" mechanics. Story = listen to characters talking, fight wave of enemies, do a fetch quest, fight wave of enemies... Open world is not too much better.
This song was created for the [Monkey Jam 2024](https://itch.io/jam/monkey-jam-2024) game competition. Unfortunately my team's game was not finished, but I decided to release the song either way since it's a nice chill track.

Enjoy, both OW and Tunic are up there in my favourite games. Return of the Obra Dinn is another good one, if you didn't play it already.
Chasing after that same high, I bought the newest versions of Myst and Riven, never played the originals. Quite stumped in the first level of Myst. I feel like I may enjoy Riven more, but gonna try and stick with Myst first.

Only other downside I could think if is when my catch all cant be used to send a mail or reply.
On Protonmail, I just create a new address if I need to send email from that address. Afterwards I just delete it, freeing up the address slot.

Both are fine choices depending on your requirements. The thing with external alias services, you are not in control of the addresses/domain. Catch-all addresses are essentially aliases you manage, but something like Simplelogin does have the benefit of hiding your domain name.
Spam is not a big deal on catch-all. A couple of times a year I do get a spam mail to some arbirtary address, but that's more or less it.

I am interested in the game series, but it looks like there are many points to start from. Myst 2021, realMyst Masterpiece Edition, Myst Masterpiece Edition, Riven, Riven 2024.
Seems like the starting point is a relatively controversial topic amongst fans. I thought of starting with Myst 2021, then playing the original Riven.

Listen man they developed EddieAI in the 80s for their album covers, truly ahead of their time.
Made a nightcore mix of my latest EP as a small one-afternoon project. The original songs sound way too slow to me now!
If I had to choose just one song by t+pazolite as my favourite, it would probably be Contrapasso -purgatorio- as it definitely his most epic song. Classical influences all over, head-bangin' good, and even a speedcore section in the latter half.
