I hope they get placed around town in Madison again. But I suspect that’s not going to be part of the deal.

Damn. They need to revert this change. I don’t get why they would have made it.
I’m also sad that everynoise was halted. Spotify, man. Their recommendations are their only strength.

I don’t think mine was 200 either. Nor is/was discover weekly. And I have used both for years now for the purpose the post says, seeking new music for djing/playlists.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a bug that quietly inflated a certain percentage of playlists.
I think I’d like larger playlists for both playlists though!

I’ve been skeptical of how this would be adapted ever since it was announced. I assume there must have been something that didn’t translate well that needs a lot of work.

What? Just slide them down your wrists. /s

The Index controllers are never really out of the way for anything. And sliding them down your wrists is uncomfortable, awkward, not practical for all wrist sizes, etc.
I personally think the Index controllers are overhyped and terrible. They are awkward, didn’t live up to their promise for finger “tracking”, make your hands sweat, they are bulky, the straps are never quite the right tension, they had durability problems, etc etc.
I’m not sold on these, but I can see why others are. And why people in the club scene or who are performers would give them a shot.
I sure miss the original CV1 Touch controllers.

Seems like ColorWare style painting is a better option. (But much more expensive.)

That’s sad to see. The broadening of VR is a real struggle right now.

I’ve never heard of it before either. It doesn’t seem weird to me. Just, the assertion that it’s overwhelmingly common does not sound right.

What five pieces of content that are available but not on PCVR do you think would stop the death of VR?

I suspect that device will always be too expensive, big, and loud for practical home use. I hope to be wrong.
The tech itself won’t go away and uses for it will be found.

It would be neat to know precisely what parts are expensive. Broad generalizations about how prices on goods go up and down aren’t quite as interesting. 😅

He is very notable. And opinionated. “Legendary” is hyperbole.
I liked The Witness a lot more than Braid, and I really liked the integration of philosophy. I hope this new title has the same polish and depth.

I also used VR Optician to get an insert for my Index. When I bought it they let you buy them one by one. That was great for me since I’m blind in my right eye. Really well made. I’ve taken it off and on over the years and it has held up great.
For my Beyond, I had to buy a full pair of inserts. Bigscreen sells them with the HMD. But now I have a backup. I got the same prescription in both.
Apple will be selling or including prescription inserts for their Vision Pro too. Prescription inserts really are the best and most comfortable way if you can afford it.
AFAIK you can get them for every popular headset currently being sold.

Sounds like someone needs to make a community for that.
Otherwise, this is what technology is these days. And I’d say that staying blind to things like this is what got us into many messes.
I remember when tech news was mostly a press release pipeline. And when I see these comments, I see people who want press releases about new tech to play with.
Now duplicate posts. Those can fuck right off.
