That one is perhaps the most polished open source game out there.

You can't save the entire world like that, without a small sacrifice and cool explosions.

Did it happen for real? I always though that it was just a meme.

If it wasn't for locked devices and proprietary drivers, it would be a nice experience, very close to linux.

Looks interestsing.
Would it be also possible to ask for a captcha on the first interactions users from new instances make?

I expected the same and became confused trying to log in another instance.
Anyone interested?

Can it be practical if several instances get created programmatically?
I'm new to the fediverse, and so far, I have been seeing some situations from lemmy instances rejecting users to defederating from others, but I ask myself: what can be done if trolls or bots come from self-hosted single-user instances?

I was thinking the same these days. Something like when we recompress a jpeg several times until it becomes unrecognizable.

The truth that is hard to swallow...
We are techy people who enjoy the concept of the fediverse, but the general public will never use it if it doesn't become simple and straightforward.

But I don't have a car either, so it doesn't matter anyway :D

Although they don't profit directly from youtube, it's a strategy they take to impede competition from arising and keeping their name as the main one. It's the kind of strategy only multibillionaire companies can do, and, in my opinion, something that should be restricted, because it affects smaller businesses to the point of becoming inviable.

Syncthing is awesome. I'm never losing data to a damaged or stolen device again, and it makes accessing data from a computer and sending data to the phone so much easier.
But we have to keep in mind that syncthing doesn't protect by default us from accidental deletion, so it's not a 100% replacement for a backup.

After using different distros for more than 10 years, I reached a never imagined level of not caring anymore. Nowadays, I use any of them, and it's fine. I don't even care to change the wallpaper or tweak most settings anymore.
For the record, I'm using fedora on my main rig, mx linux on my low-end laptop, and armbian on my orange pi board.

It's not the services that are dying, but the internet as we used to know.
Change is natural, but the services are all changing in a way not beneficial forthe users.

I find it hard to consider xiaomis as the best option, after my experience. If you live in a supported country, you're ok, but if not, they don't give a fuck about you.
Around here, pixels are too expensive too, but motorolas seem to be a good option and with a good method to unlock the bootloader.

Definitely. They may be heavier on cpu and, perhaps, ram, but are extremely light on storage. It's always a tradeoff.
Phones with 16gb or less can so easily be overwhelmed by so many apps we're obliged to use, and pwas can help a lot.
Also, I prefer not to install apps for things like businesses and services I rarely use.

PWAs are so nice. I wish more services used it, instead of pushing us into installing bloated apps.
