What a terrible argument. Anything that involves messing around with your teeth needs to have good reasons to do it, rather than just good arguments against doing it.

They've had enough problems with the guy who claimed to be the reincarnation of LRH.
I reckon Miscavige wouldn't want a robo-LRH as it could challenge his power within the organization.

It's interesting to me that they're named after four thieves. Not sure if it's a deliberate joke or just another manifestation of the anarchist herbalism tendency that seems to have developed in the last 20 or 30 years.

I told one of my college professors I'd been having issues with some software I had to learn to use for another class, and he said "can I give you a tip? try using chat-gpt to explain how to use it" and without thinking I said "why would I use chat-gpt? It's rubbish" and his face fell. Sorry, Prof, I know you were trying to help.
This was after he'd said to the class that he knew we would all be using chat-gpt for assignments.

"Total demand for electricity last year grew by 4.4pc, or 1.3 terawatts (TW), but 80pc of that increase, or 1.1TW, was from data centre growth." Training data for LLMs = higher energy prices and environmental degradation.

The combination of these two things is jarring because heroin is a Big Kid drug, not a prestige drug, and how, of course, could a neuroscientist smoke heroin?
Unlike this guy, I have no problem understanding that smart people sometimes like to do stupid things. There are a lot of doctors who smoke. This is not because they know tobacco is secretly good for you.

It was Jann Wenner, former Rolling Stone owner/editor, who said that he only wanted to write about "philosophers of rock ’n’ roll" for a book he wrote called "The Masters".
You know, Joni was not a philosopher of rock ’n’ roll. She didn’t, in my mind, meet that test. Not by her work, not by other interviews she did. The people I interviewed were the kind of philosophers of rock.

I recently got The Secret Public on CD and spent yesterday evening listening to it. Plenty of interesting LGBT+ history and there are some really great songs on there - the 60s songs really appeal to me, especially the girl groups, but there's also some good tough 70s funk and disco.
I don't know if I've been listening to anything that's relevant to Sneer Club.

A video interview with the artist John Wild about AI, AGI, eugenics and Silicon Valley TESCREAL cultism. Posting without watching.
"AI for dummies" interview from Irish radio with Dr Abeba Birhane, who's on a UN advisory board about AI.
According to wikipedia, Runaway [received "mixed reviews"](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runaway_(1984_American_film)).
Interview on Australian anti-fascist radio show Yeah Nah Pasaran! with Dan McQuillan, computer lecturer and author of "Resisting AI: An Anti-fascist Approach To Artificial Intelligence". Interesting comments on AI as a tool of/for austerity politics, and an argument that AI is inherently anti-worker. Probably nothing new to people in here, but eloquently stated and put into a wider political context.
Sure, why attempt to improve the climate resilience or affordable housing in the cities where millions of people already live, when you can just buy land upstate and get a whole new toy to play with? And why tell local, state or national government anything - they'll only be supplying the land, water, sewerage, utilities & transport links. You pay your taxes, you deserve to get something back. This is going to be one hell of a planning application. What's the land use code for "feudal stronghold"?
